A few hours had passed since The Black Greninja took on Nando and they were still making repairs to the arena. Marian told the 8 Coordinators that the next match won't be for a few hours, they then proceeded to change out of their contest outfits and change back into their civilian clothing. Afterwards, they left the waiting room and decided to go walk around Slateport City until the repairs were done.
Outside Contest Hall
When Dawn finished changing, she noticed that Zoey was waiting outside the entrance to the Contest Hall. "Something wrong Zoey?"
Zoey turned her attention to Dawn and proceeded to answer her question. "Nothing's wrong Dawn. I'm just wondering why The Black Greninja hasn't come out yet?"
Dawn shrugged her shoulders in response. "Maybe he doesn't want to be found out just yet. Look Zoey I got to meet up with Paul, he says he has a TM for one of my Pokemon so I'll talk to you later."
As Dawn walked by Zoey…"We've made it to the Quarter Finals Dawn, don't blow it out there okay?"
Dawn nodded her head as she ran off to see Paul.
Route 110
At Route 110, May and Drew decided to take a seat near the Cycling Road as they waited for the repairs to be finished.
After a few moments of silence, May decided to break the ice. "Hard to believe Nando caused that much damage for one match."
Drew nodded his head in agreement. "Agreed… May, I need to talk to you about something."
"What is it?"
Drew reached into his pocket and pulled out a piece of paper with an Omega and Alpha symbol on it. "I received this letter from the Coordinators Organization a few months ago stating that Hoenn will be introducing a new form of contests in November. I know we're rivals May, but I was wondering if you would like to join me for this round of contests?"
May then thought about it for a few minutes before responding to Drew's question. "I don't see why not."
Drew then smiled. "Perfect."
Slateport Beach
At the Slateport Beach, Suzy decided to take a seat on one of the benches as she observed the water. So peaceful…
But before she could continue her thoughts, Suzy felt a hand on her shoulder. When she turned her head, she saw Frank behind her with a smile on his face. "Hey Suzy." Frank then proceeded to take a seat next to her. "Why are you sitting here by your lonesome?"
Suzy responded. "I've just been thinking about a few things, you're from Geosenge and I am from Blackthorn. We hardly see each other except for these events, and I wonder how we're able to make it work."
After hearing what Suzy said, Frank sighed. "You're right. We hardly see each other… But you know what. It may make things harder, but it gives us more to fight for."
"You're right Frank. I was just being selfish."
"I understand. But Suzy, you really need to drop that, it doesn't help anybody and it makes you come off as childish."
"I know."
Later
The repairs were finished and the Coordinators returned to the waiting room as they waited for the match to begin.
A few minutes had passed and Marian walked into the room. "Okay Coordinators, it's time to start the first match. Dawn, Frank let's go."
Dawn got out of her seat and walked down the hallway while Frank gave Suzy a smile and walked down the hallway to fight his opponent.
