Kunimitsu's Baby Drama

The Manji Clan and Russia's Special Ops have collaborated to uncover and revive an old vampire legend. They need a special blood type in which only a few people in the world, like Kunimitsu's baby possesses. The Manji kidnap Kunimitsu's son for this to happen. At first Kunimitsu wants to find her child alone, until she is desperate for help.

Chapter 19 – Into the Nexus

Rooftop of Stella's Castle…

As the battle between Stella against Raven & Zafina continued, things were not looking so well for the protagonists. Zafina was still struggling to tap into the full energy of the Ashrune blade. Stella was aware of this, so she concentrated on fighting against the more vulnerable opponent in Raven. Stella summoned vines and quickly subdued Zafina's legs and arms.

Zafina: "No! I'm not able to…move!"

Raven tries to help Zafina get out of the vines, but Stella moves fast and gets in the way. Raven executed a double cross swing with his kodachi blades. However, he only cut smoke. Stella teleported from behind him and slashed his backside with her sharp nails. In retaliation, Raven tries to cross slash from behind, instead Stella teleports again and kicks him dead on his left jawbone. Raven was sent crashing onto the stone roof flooring.

Zafina: "Raven!" (still can't get out of the vines.)

Stella: "I'll make sure he's dead."

Stella walked closer to the stunned Raven. She raised her right hand and channeled her plasma ki in order to incinerate Raven's body into ash. By some stroke of luck, a blaze of fire got in between Stella and the wounded black ninja. Once the fire disappeared, Stella could see that Raven vanished from her sight. Stella turns around only to see Kunimitsu carrying Raven over her shoulder. The countess's blood boiled (not literally) by this sudden turn of events.

Stella (cancels her ki): "Damn you!"

Kunimitsu (cuts off the vines, freeing Zafina): "Sorry I'm late. I wanted to make sure those children were free."

Zafina: "Did you find them?"

Kunimitsu: "Yes. Some were tortured, but most of them are healthy and in good spirits."

Zafina (looks at Raven): "I see. Raven are you alright?"

Raven (still lying on the floor bleeding.): "This…doesn't look…good."

Kunimitsu: "Don't talk Raven." (To Zafina): "One of us will have to patch him up while the other keeps that vampire on her toes."

Zafina: You're right. Use this." (Give Kunimitsu the blade.)

Kunimitsu: "Wait? This is….."

Zafina: "That's right. It's the Ashrune blade. Something just told me that you should give it a try."

Kunimitsu: "Why?"

Zafina: "Call it curiosity I suppose."

Stella: "Are you done talking? How disrespectful!"

The vampire came from above to try and impale the girls with her sharp heel shoes. Zafina carries Raven while Kunimitsu jumped to parry Stella's attack with the Ashrune. Stella comes down first and notices that one of her metal plates under the left shoe began to corrode. Even Zafina was a little surprised once she put Raven near a corner.

Zafina (thinking): "So I was correct. Kunimitsu's ki is resonating a lot better wielding the blade more than mine did. But I wonder why?"

Kunimitsu (Admires the blade.): "It's beautiful and light!" (Looks at Stella.): "Hey your foot is on fire!" (Lols)

Stella: "You think it's funny? Well…let's see you laugh at this!"

The vampire kisses her lips and two of her fingers shine a radiant red color. In a form of a gun she aims at Kunimitsu shooting a laser like plasma beam. Kunimitsu did her best to parry the lasers until they were so many that a few hit her body. Amazingly, Kunimitsu still stood up despite the intense pain.

Kunimitsu: "I won't give up that easy!"

Stella: "Hmph. You're already bleeding in your legs. You won't last long!"

Stella once again shoots out of her fingers. Kunimitsu ignores her pain and decides to run at the vampire. Anticipating this, Stella forms her force shield around her hand and blocks Kunimitsu cut attempt. However, the shield starts to crack from the Ashrune's pressure. Out of desperation, Stella spits acid from out of her mouth as it connects Kunimitsu's fox mask. Kunimitsu backs off and drops the Ashrune. Screaming in agony, Kunimitsu has to take off her mask from getting further burned. Zafina finished tending to Raven's cuts from his back. They were both startled after hearing Kunimitsu's scream.

Zafina: "Kunimitsu!"

Raven: "Not her face!"

Stella laughed hysterically from Kunimitsu's misfortune. This time she wanted to bite Kunimitsu while she was now vulnerable. That is, until someone else entered battle.

Alisa: "FIST SMOKE BLAST!"

Stella: Huh?"

Stella got hit with a smoke bomb by Alisa who flew over the rooftop. Alisa noticed Kunimitsu still grimacing over her face getting nearly burned.

Alisa: "I made it in time!" (Sees Kunimitsu.) "Oh no! Fox lady, are you alright?"

Kunimitsu: "It's Kunimitsu! Not fox lady!" (reveals her face.)

Alisa: "Oh my!"

Kunimitsu: "Please, it's not that scary!"

Alisa then thought about the charm Lars gave her. She takes it out of her side pocket, until several red vines grab her body. The pressure forces Alisa to drop the charm. Stella had emerged from out the smoke, using her left arm as vines to drag Alisa closer to her.

Stella: "I won't let any you live!"

Alisa: "Nooo! Let go!"

Kunimitsu notices the charm lying on the stone floor. Alisa was getting closer towards Stella's direction as the vampire prepared to incinerate her.

Kunimitsu (Thinking): "Alisa was carrying that thing? I better use it before Alisa gets destroyed!"

In a heroic effort, Kunimitsu swiftly grabs the charm and leaps above Alisa heading for Stella. Stella couldn't react to Kunimitsu's pounce in time. Kunimitsu lands just above the vines attaching Stella's left arm and plants the charm on the vampire's shoulder. Stella yells in pain as the charm works instantly. Alisa got herself free out of the vines and backs away. Kunimitsu does the same time and wisely goes to pick up the Ashrune that dropped from her grasp earlier on.

Stella: "Ggggggaaaaaaa! What is this! It's too painful! I won't lose like this!"

As a last resort, Stella summoned a portal which ascended above everyone's heads. The winds of the portal sucked everyone inside it, including Zafina and Raven who stood several yards away from the other women. As portal grew smaller, the battle above the rooftop castle went silent as if no one stepped foot there.

The Nexus world…

Zafina and Raven were the first ones to regain consciousness. Everything surrounding them was filled with glowing white looking lava. They were above several cliffs that stood above the hot liquid, overlooking the lavender colored sky. The two both look around to see their surroundings.

Raven: "What is this place? Are we dead?"

Zafina: "No. There is air in here, and this place has a hot temperature."

Raven (sweating): "Yeah, I agree with that."

Zafina: "Where are the others?"

Raven: "Good question. Stella did this. That bitch!"

Zafina: "I wonder if this is the place where Stella was banished all those centuries ago. This is her way of trapping us both here."

Raven: "Shit! There has to be a way out! Kunimitsu and Alisa must be alive!" (Checks his wristcom.) "My GPS has both of them tracked! But there at least 20 miles away!"

Zafina: "No matter how far they have gone we can't lose faith. Let us go."

Raven: "Understood."
