Chapter 21 – Settling Things

Few days later…Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

News of the Romanian border lifting itself out of military curfew soon spread quickly throughout the world. The United Nations assured many countries that everything would return to normal in Romania, though it would take some much needed time for the nation to recover from such a devastating event. Because the Paladins did not have enough resources to aid the thousands of children who were trapped inside Stella's castle, they asked the UN for help in aid. Many orphanages throughout the world offered their support for the children who no longer had families. The ones who could reunite with their families would eventually return to them in due time.

As for the condition of Lars, the Paladin commander, he was transferred to a hospital in Canada to receive additional treatment. His partner, Alisa, also needed several enhancements because of her body getting damaged, as well as implementing a new battery. In just two days, Alisa revived and was granted permission by the president of Violet Systems, Lee Chaolan, to travel and see her dear friend Lars. By the time Alisa arrived inside the hospital entering Lars's room, the commander was once again napping.

Alisa (sad face): "D'ohh. I wanted to see you awake and you're off sleeping again Lars."

Raven (Curious, standing upside down on the ceiling.): "What are you doing here?"

Alisa: "Waaah! Hey don't do stuff like that Mr. Ninja, its creepy!"

Raven (flips down.): "Quiet. We don't want to traumatize Lars here."

Alisa: "My apologizes."

Raven: "Looks like Lee and his buddies didn't waste any time patching you up."

Alisa: "You noticed. It's like it never happened. (Giggles.)"

Raven: "Anyway, I've been monitoring him for about half an hour now. His condition remains stable, but he will need rehab for right shoulder as soon as he recovers. So there you have it. He's going to be fine Alisa."

Alisa: "Well that's a relief. But why bring Lars here to this hospital."

Raven: "I recommended it since its close to my job."

Alisa: "Job?"

Raven: "Yeah. The location is disclosed so don't get any funny ideas. I would hate to plant a virus inside your main database because you want to see my HQ."

Alisa: "Oh no! I wouldn't intrude honest."

Raven: "Good. Since you want to alone with him, I will take my leave."

Alisa: "Wait. Mr. Ninja!"

Raven: "Yea?"

Alisa: "Whatever happened to Dragunov? The man who shot Lars."

Raven: "He's alive and in custody. He's under close watch in Guantanamo Bay by the UN. If he's lucky the Spentaz could raise enough money to bail him out, but thanks to Stella destroying one of their main strongholds, I don't foresee that happening."

Alisa: "Oh."

Raven: "See you around kid."

Alisa: "So long Raven." (Raven jumps out of the window.) "And thanks."

Raven proceeded to leave the hospital from his hovercraft which was parked above the rooftop. As the ninja approached the vehicle, he noticed Zafina reading an ancient manuscript on astrology inside the cockpit. Zafina also kept an eye on Karasu who playfully shook his toy keys from the left side of her in his special seat. Zafina smiles at the boy's innocent behavior until she sees Raven and opens the hatch allowing him to sit up front of the wheel.

Zafina: "Hey. How is the commander?"

Raven: "He's doing alright. Just resting like he should. How's Karasu?"

Zafina: "He's fine. Still messing with those keys. So cute." (Changing the subject.) "But I still don't understand. Why did you allow the Manji Clan to retrieve Kunimitsu after the castle raid."

Raven: "Like I said. The Manji Clan has been reduced to tatters. The ones who were not involved with Yoshimitsu the 17th are considered innocent by HQ. These individuals want to heal and honor Kunimitsu for her tenacity and courage by making her the new leader of their clan."

Zafina: "Now that's a revelation. Well I believe it's time for me to return home. Shall we?"

Raven (starts the hovercraft.): "Understood."

Sahara Desert, near Siwa, Egypt…

Raven: "We're here!"

Zafina (yawns): "We made it?"

It was just past sunrise in the small oasis city of Suwa. Raven never even slept while Zafina ended up napping while reading her manuscript. Karasu slept peacefully as well. Zafina soon wakes up readily once the hovercraft touched down near the small lake just south of the city. After coming down from the hovercraft, a villager standing by a camel waited for Zafina.

Zafina (exiting): "Well this is where we part. Are you going to see Kunimitsu now?"

Raven (Follows her.): "Yes. I still have to settle things with her."

Zafina: "Whatever decision you make, make sure it's the right one for your son."

Raven: "Zafina?"

Boldly, Zafina walks and gives Raven a passionate kiss. Turning her back, she bid him good fortune.

Zafina: "I will continue to support you ninja. Good luck in your future endeavors. You know where to find me if there is trouble. Farewell."

Raven could only stand frozen over the exotic former guardian as Zafina hopped on the camel going into the palm trees along with her escort. It was difficult to say anything after that. Then thinking of Kunimitsu, Raven pondered if she was okay from her ordeal with Stella. It was clear that Kunimitsu needed Raven now more than ever. Finally Raven makes his move back inside the hovercraft, heading straight for the Manji clan village.

Next day, Manji Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan…

Deep within the rural forests of the Yamanashi Prefecture, lies the infamous ninja village of the Manji Clan. Established just before the Sengoku Period, the Manji first served under various feudal lords until around the end of the warring states. Since then, they have gained a reputation of robbing from the rich and giving to the poor throughout Japan. In recent years, their operations expanded to serving those in need worldwide. Their last leader, Yoshimitsu the 17th, put the clan in jeopardy by aiding the revival of Stella whose actions nearly eradicated some of the clan's best warriors. If not for a ronin kunoichi in Kunimitsu, the clan would surely have perished for good. In gratitude, one of the clan's elders insisted Kunimitsu return to the village. He sent a messenger to speak with Raven asking permission in bringing back Kunimitsu. Raven could sense the sincerity from the messenger and did not detect any lies from him, so he agreed to let her be treated by the clan. Now feeling unsure about her health, Raven wasted no time locating the village. It would be his first time entering Kunimitsu's old home.

The village was well secluded within the forested valleys of the Yamanashi Prefecture. Raven, carrying his son on a special backpack, was greeted from the path by the same messenger as before.

Messenger: "We've been expecting you, Dark Talon."

Raven: "Hey you're that kid from before. So is Kunimitsu still here?"

Messenger: "This way."

Once again, no hint of any suspicion in the boy's voice, however all was quiet in the village. Raven could tell the place was quite large. Maybe over a thousand people lived in the village at one time. Only about 100 or so still remain, but they were all ninja. Raven was surprised to see how majestic and beautiful the village was with its cherry blossom tree scattered all around the area. Eventually the messenger guided Raven up a path going uphill leading into a home overlooking the main valley. By the time the messenger walked close to the door, he told Raven that the elder lives here, and that Kunimitsu was still in deep sleep since she was taken away. Though perhaps she would wake up now that Raven is present.

Messenger: "Elder Zukashikuto!"

Zuka: "Not so loud boy! I'm coming."

Messenger: "Sorry."

Zuka (Makes himself present at the door way.): "Ah. Very good. You must be Raven."

Raven: "Yes."

Zuka: "And the little one over your chest is Kunimitsu's boy huh?"

Raven: "That's right."

Zuka: "Incredible. Never thought I'd see Kunimitsu become a mother. Well follow me. The fox is upstairs."

Kunimitsu lay in one of the mattresses upstairs at the guest room of the elder's home, with no mask covering the face, and her red hair untied. When all three of the men surrounded the kunoichi, the elder wanted to clarify his intentions on the direction the Manji Clan should take. The baby even went silent once he finally saw a familiar face just lying there motionless.

Zuka: "Well here she is. I made sure she didn't wake up until you got to see her Dark Talon."

Raven: "Why do that?"

Zuka: "I want to make it clear that our clan would have been in imminent danger of government intervention as well as your company for the crimes our leader has committed over the past year. I was one of the few who voted against giving the 17th rights of being the next leader despite his youth. However his supporters would have killed me had I remain aggressive in my disapproval. So I patiently bid my time until someone would stop him and his allies. Thankfully you and Kunimitsu put an end to his evil ways. So in gratitude, I want to bring back Kunimitsu and ask her if she wants the position as the new head of the Manji Clan."

Raven: "A daunting task in itself. The very clan who not too long ago banished the fox ninja because of her greed. You really believe she will accept this offer?"

Zuka: "You may have doubts. But based on her recent actions, I feel she may no longer carry those habits. Time to wakey wakey."

With the snap of his fingers, Kunimitsu slowly opened her eyes. Then she rises up noticing that she was no longer in Europe. Looking to her right she sees elder Zuka smiling at her under his wolf mask. Kunimitsu backs up immediately hitting a wall, thinking she'd seen a ghost or was dreaming.

Kunimitsu: "What the fuck is going on?! Where am I?"

She gasps looking to the other side seeing the man she loves along with her son and a boy she did not know wearing a tengu mask over his face. Her mask was no longer on her but that didn't matter.

Kunimitsu: "Am I dreaming? Raven, you brought my son. Elder Zuka! I thought you died ages ago!"

Zuka: "Silly woman! Of course not! I'm only 71!"

Kunimitsu: "But! If I'm here then that means…"

Zuka: "Yes, you are back in Manji village."

Kunimitsu nearly tears up, before Zuka started talking once again.

Zuka: "I know you have hundreds of questions to ask. So let me break it down in simplest terms. Its true based on your previous endeavors that you've caused the Manji Clan a lot of fits with your selfishness and narcissism when it comes to treasure. However, because we found out about your recent actions in both the last King of Iron Fist Tournament and defeating that dreadful vampire who was determined to rob the world full of young children. The village felt you did enough to be reinstated. Not only that, I've given you an option that may surprise even you, but I don't feel no one else among us will fill these shoes quite like you can as this point in time. Kunimitsu! Will you now become the new leader of the Manji Clan?"

Kunimitsu gasps in shock. Zuka gave her quite an ultimatum. If she said no, would this mean that she would be banished again for thinking selfishly as always? What did this mean for her son? Surely he would have a secure home and future living among other ninjas. Perhaps he will be next in line if Kunimitsu were to relinquish that position. What did this mean for Raven? He still worked under a secret undercover organization. Would he stop his job and co-lead with her? This only made Kunimitsu's brain cells scramble even more than before.

Zuka: "I see this won't be a quicker answer. Raven perhaps I should let you and Kunimitsu talk it over, come Mirikate!"

Messenger: "Sir!"

Zuka (Leaving.): "I'll be at the ramen spot, so you can tell me there Kunimitsu."

Once the old man and messenger left the house, now it was just Raven, Kunimitsu, and the baby inside the guest room. Kunimitsu's amber eyes gazed at Raven who insisted on wearing shades even in this dull looking room. Kunimitsu asked Raven his feelings on this matter.

Kunimitsu: "Honestly. How do you feel about this? Me? New leader of the Manji ninja?"

Raven: "Yea. It's awfully spontaneous that the village is willing to not only accept you back in, but now they even want you be their sole representative. What you have done over the past two years. Even bearing this child, and still gaining the fortitude to fight those who would take away your life and everything you hold dear. I'd say why not make a change and accept it."

Kunimitsu: "Raven?"

Raven: "I will always be a lone renegade ninja. Remember my old clan is now defunct. My master is long dead. I'm the sole carrier of my style of ninjutsu. If my clan were still intact like yours is then I would serve their interests before I would serve those outside of the clan. This I know."

Kunimitsu: "I actually didn't remember that Raven. I'm sorry."

Raven: "It's okay. What the Manji clan does today is more honorable than what mine did in the past. Before my master, the old clan was nothing but straight cutthroat assassins for hire. Master and I wanted to change that and we did. I think it's wonderful to see a clan like this be willing to adapt with the times. Plus, I feel Karasu needs a good home. The village here would be the best place for him study ninjutsu, don't you think?"

Kunimitsu: "To think my son will actually live and learn ninjutsu here, not just from me. Raven, what about your work? When will you stop?"

Raven: "I still have enemies out there, not just the White Angel of Death. By me retiring and staying in one spot is a guaranteed ticket for danger in this village. This place has had enough tragedies as is. You on the other hand are still and unknown to the average person. Karasu won't be in any danger here at all, especially when people here will look out for him. At the same time, I've decided that I will be a part of his life. Though it doesn't mean I can always be by his side."

Kunimitsu: "Okay. I've made a decision, so let's go out and meet back with the elder."

Raven: "Understood."

Sure enough, Raven and Kunimitsu (in her bed gown from Zuka's old wife) descended down the path leading back at the village below. Some of the villagers immediately recognized Kunimitsu and acknowledged her in a manner that was fit for a celebrity. Kunimitsu felt a little embarrassed, but kept calm as she and Raven finally approach the elder at the local ramen shop. Finishing his last sip of ramen, Elder Zuka rises up and greets the couple as he was expecting Kunimitsu to make her choice.

Elder Zuka: "Well have you made a decision, Kunimitsu?"

Kunimitsu: "Yes."

The people who were inside the shop stopped chatting and were listening to hear what Kunimitsu would say.

Kunimitsu: "First of all, I was surprised to find myself here of all places after fighting that vampire back in Europe. I felt after all these years that I didn't need to come back here because of the things that I have done against you guys. But now, I want to make up for all of that. Your forgiveness and kindness will not go to waste. So…Yes, I will stay here with my son and become your new clan leader!"

The crowd cheers in unison. The elder couldn't contain himself and started dancing around Kunimitsu and a bewildered Raven. The news spread quickly and thwhole village celebrated. Raven felt out of place being he wasn't a party guy, but had to bear with it for this was a big deal for Kunimitsu. Many engaged in dancing and playing music. Those who did not dance just drunk booze and started gambling. This went on for the rest of the day going into the night. Finally Kunimitsu wanted to rest. Elder Zuka had already ensured the new leader would stay in the newest home the Manji Clan built in an effort to revitalize the village. What surprised Kunimitsu once she and Raven where guided to the new home is that the place used to be the same spot where Kunimitsu's childhood home once stood.

Kunimitsu: "No way! This is the spot where my parents stayed!"

Elder Zuka: "That's true. But the council decided to tear it old house down in preparation for revitalizing the houses that were abandoned."

Kunimitsu: "I hate that the old house is gone, but I'm sure this place will be even better. For Karasu."

Elder Zuka: "That's the spirit! Both of you make yourselves at home!"

Kunimitsu: "Thank you elder! Have a goodnight!"

Elder Zuka: "Ok. Goodnight!"

After the old man left for the night, Raven and Kunimitsu surveyed the home. The place was well insulated without air conditioning, plenty of cabinet space for storage, and there was even a wifi router (probably stolen) for internet use. Karasu fell asleep already during the party. Lucky for Raven, there was a basket big enough for the growing baby to sleep peacefully. Once he took care of Karasu in a smaller room, Kunimitsu took whatever sheets that were available and placed them on the floor in the main bedroom. Raven never showed any intention of leaving her side today, so this got the fox ninja all excited. She loosened up her gown slightly exposing her cleavage and laid there waiting for Raven. Footsteps could be heard getting closer. Kunimitsu's heart pounded heavily, but remained calm. Raven opens to the door.

Raven: "He's all tucked in." (Yawns) "I'm glad that party is over."

Kunimitsu (rising up from her sheets, the robe drops down from her body): "I think the party is just beginning!"

Raven: "Wha…whaaa? Kuni!"

Kunimitsu immediately pounces on Raven kissing him hard until she finally let him breathe.

Raven: "Kunimitsu!"

Kunimitsu: "Yes!"

Raven: "I do love you. But you're probably acting like this because you feel this might be the last chance we can get close like this."

Kunimitsu: "Of course silly! What if you get killed on the job one day?"

Raven (took of his shades.): "That won't happen."

Kunimitsu: "Good!"

The Dark Talon showed more compliance after his comment and passiontaley interloped with the fox. Soon Raven was unclothed just like her. Kunimitsu immediately wanted dominance as she turns her body around keeping Raven on floor so he could view her succulent genetilia. In no time, Kunimitsu went to work along Raven's pole. Her skill was as good as ever. Raven this time implanted two of his fingers inside Kunimitsu making her slightly squeal before she gobbled her man again. In this round, Raven lost it and prematurely climaxed in Kunimitsu's mouth. Kunimitsu didn't mind it though. After cleaning him off, she was ready to satisfy him even more.

Kunimitsu: "This time in all yours master."

Raven: "Master?"

Kunimitsu (Lies on her back for him.): "The people here now call me their master, but I'll listen to you Raven. So do as you will with me."

Raven: "Fine. Just don't say it in public. Get ready."

Kunimitsu: "Hai!"

Kunimitsu did not get any action since her last encounter with Raven. His rod going fully into her ovaries proved to be quite painful, but she ignored it. Raven did whatever he wanted with her alright. He screwed Kunimitsu in many different ways for a long time. She eventually orgasms, but Raven was still not satisfied. After an intense hour of intercourse, Raven finally pulled out of Kunimitsu.

Raven: "I believe we should stick to keeping one child. So please…."

Kunimitsu: "Hai. That's fine with me."

Kunimitsu aided Raven by tickling his nuts. Then Raven climaxed all over Kunimitsu's body. Raven collapses by her left side and is exhausted. Kunimitsu leans over to him and pecks him above the head.

Kunimitsu: "That was amazing! Is there anything you would like to do?"

Raven: "Rest. Just rest."

Kunimitsu (smiling): "As you wish."
