Korra started to consume the food given to her. Before she knew it, tears began dropping onto her tray. Her nightmare was coming true and she felt hopeless.
"I'm doomed."
Her mind wandered to her parents. Would would they think if she came home as a failure. What would the world think of her. She hated the idea of being a nobody. The inner strength inside her flickered, diminishing to nothing but a small flame. The young Avatar wiped her tears away and stared blankly into nothing. Lost in her negative thoughts.
...
"Tenzin!"
The tall Airbender turned to the brooding fire bender. His eyes looked wild and his clothes were torn.
"What is it my boy? What has happened with you?" Tenzin asked gesturing to his torn clothes and intense bruises.
"Korra, she was taken by the equalists!" Mako exclaimed.
Bolin caught up with his brother and added,
"Some crazy equalist chick with a glowy helmet came swooping in when we were attacking some bad equalist dudes!"
Tenzin's face scrunched in worry.
"We must inform Lin immediately," he responded then adding, "Spirits, what horrible timing this is."
...
Lin Beifong grunted in frustration. Her metal bender cops had another huge mess on the streets from the equalists. They just barely cleaned up a Triple Triad quarrel, now this.
"Sir, our witnesses say that the Avatar and her friends were fighting off the equalists." Lin's lips turned to a scowl. She knew she recognized such a mess. When she got in contact with her she was gonna lecture her a big one, but for now she needed answers on what happened her and more information on the equalists.
"Contact Tenzin right now and-" Lin stopped in mid sentence due to another one of her metal bender cops ran toward her.
"We've received a message from HQ!"
"Well, spit it out then!"
The cop nervously continued on.
"Tenzin has informed us that the Avatar has been kidnapped by the equalists."
Lin's eyes grew big in surprise.
"Holy flamo! Reach me our telephone. This is a code red situation."
The officers ran to their communication unit.
She signed with stress and looked and her remaining officers and barked an order.
"Don't just stand there, get me one of the witnesses, I need to get as much info about this as possible."
