"Sam!" Freddie said.

"What? I had gas." Sam said.

"I can...smell that." Freddie grimaced.

"Eh, it'll pass." Sam shrugged. "We need to buy some Canadian bacon."

"We just bought some five hours ago!" Freddie reminded.

"Yeah, but I want more of it." Sam said simply.

"We'll get some for lunch tomorrow." Freddie sighed.

"What's for breakfast? I'm still tired from driving 7 hours, so we're chilling tomorrow."

"You just lost yourself breakfast in bed." Freddie said, rolling over again.

Sam took a second to process Freddie's statement, forced him onto his back, and kissed him. He slowly kissed back because of tiredness, and Sam hoped he'd make her breakfast in bed again.

...

"Well, they've officially started looking for us themselves." Sam informed. "They all went to Mexico because you speak random Spanish words sometimes."

The couple was out eating lunch.

"It's as if Canadian Bacon slipped their minds." Freddie said, finishing his Canadian Bacon.

Sam smirked.

"What?" Freddie asked.

"I'm rubbing off on you, Benson." Sam said, jabbing his stomach with her index finger.

"I'm rubbing off on you too. You actually looked at train art in that thrift shop we went to." Freddie said.

"Shut up." Sam said.

Freddie shook his head. "You know, life in Canada might not be so bad."

"What do you mean?" Sam asked.

"Living here permanently." Freddie said.

"Mama likes Canadian fatcakes." Sam said.

Freddie laughed. "Just think about it, okay?"

Sam nodded. "We should at least try to fix things with Carly, Spencer, Gibby, and...your mom."

"Or at least tell them what's going on." Freddie added.

"We can use a payphone or something later." Sam said.

...

"I wonder what Briggs is up to." Sam said.

"Why? You hated her!" Freddie reminded.

"You did too!" Sam replied. "She could've even found some jank boyfriend by now!"

"Imagine if my mom found a boyfriend in Mexico." Freddie chuckled. "That would be weird."

"You're right." Sam agreed. "Can...I ask you something?" They sat across from each other in the swiveling chairs behind the front seats.

"Sure." Freddie replied.

"What...happened to your dad?" Sam asked quietly. She hoped that Freddie would recognize the need to have this conversation, especially since they were married.

"Oh...well...he...drove a tanker truck, crashed, and it...well...you know." Freddie said softly.

"Oh...was it his fault?" Sam interrogated.

"A car got close to the side of his truck and he went off the road, and the truck flipped." Freddie replied.

"Oh." Sam said, looking down at her pajama clad legs.

"What happened to yours?" Freddie cautiously asked.

Sam sighed. "He left my mom, Melanie, and I when we were nine." She said. "My mom caught him cheating for like the fifth time, and got fed up. They had an argument, and he left for the night. My mom suspected he went to see the woman he was cheating on her with. The next day they got in an even worse argument and he said he believed that the woman he cheated on my mom with was 'the one'. She pleaded with him to stay and take care of Melanie and I, but he left with that other woman." Sam said, beginning to shed tears.

Freddie got up from his brown velour swivel chair, picked up his girlfriend, and sat himself down in her chair.

"Sam, listen. I know it was hard for you, but your life is better without him. He didn't deserve you, Melanie, or your your mother. I will always be here for you. You can count on it." Freddie said, hoping to comfort his wife. She wrapped her arms around him.

"Th-thanks, Freddie." Sam whispered. Freddie got up and walked to the bed, and they fell asleep in each other's arms.
