Chapter 44

(An hour later, after they have all eaten Breakfast, the Charming family watch T.V. for a little while. When it gets to 10:00 Emma gets up)

Snow: Hey where are you going?

Emma: It may be my birthday but I still have to work, I'm going to the station.

Snow: Okay, but will you come meet us all for lunch at Granny's at 1.

Emma: Sure, see you guys later, Henry be good.

Henry: Okay, love you mom.

Emma: Love you too kid.

(Emma then leaves and when they have heard her car drive away they all get up)

Snow: Okay, Henry, can you go get the box of decorations from my and your Grandpa's room, it's on the floor in the closet, James can you go pick up Red and Belle, they're gonna help me with the food and the dwarves' be along any minute to help decorate, okay people go, go, go.

Henry: Is she always like this?

Charming: You have no idea.

Snow: Hey!

(At the station Emma is shuffling through papers when Neal walks in)

Emma: Neal, you're back.

Neal: Yeah, just drove into town.

Emma: Cool, you brought all your stuff?

Neal: Yep, packed up my whole apartment.

Emma: You seen Henry yet?

Neal: No

Emma: He's looking forward to seeing you

Neal: I'll go by after I've taken all of my stuff to my dad's

Emma: Okay, listen we're having lunch at Granny's later, come by, my family won't mind.

Neal: Are you sure?"

Emma: Yeah

Neal: What time?

Emma: 1 o clock

Neal: Then I'll see you at 1

(Back at the Charming's place in the kitchen Belle and Red are helping Snow cook food for the party)

Ruby: So how old is Emma today?

Snow: 29

Belle: Don't you find that strange, being the same age as your daughter?

Snow: A little, but we're dealing with it

Ruby: What else are we making?

Snow: Well, I'm gonna make a start on the cake in a minute, so Red could you make a Pasta Salad and Belle could you please make the sandwiches?

Belle: Sure

Ruby: Are you gonna do a punch?

Snow: Uh-huh, I'm gonna do it while the cake is in the oven.

(In the front room Charming, Henry and the Dwarves are putting up decorations)

Henry: Do you think mom's gonna like the party?

Happy: I think she's gonna love it.

Grumpy: Emma doesn't like surprises, she told me so a while back

Doc: She's gotta love this one, come on, it's a party.

Charming: Hey, come on, let's just finish doing these decorations yeah, then we can have lunch and afterwards we can put up the marquee.

Henry: What are we gonna do to keep her out of the house until the party starts?

Charming: She finishes work at about 5:30 and the party starts an hour after that, si you and her are gonna go shopping for a few bits and pieces, ok?

Henry: Sure, hey it's almost 12:30

Charming: It is, let's go get ready for lunch

(Henry and David/Charming leave the room)
