Chapter 46
(An hour later it is almost 6:30 at the Charming House, everyone is getting ready for the arrival of Emma and Henry, but there are a couple of missing people)
Snow: Where are Ashley, Sean and Alexandra?
Charming: I don't know
(Seconds later there is a knock at the door and is relieved to see the people he was expecting)
Ashley: Sorry we're late but someone decided to be difficult when it came time to put our party clothes on.
Snow: It's fine. listen Emma and Henry will be back any minute, so go find a hiding place yeah.
Sean: Sure, come on madam
(Sean then picks up his daughter and walks off)
Leroy/Grumpy: They're here
Snow: Quick, everyone hide
(Everyone rushes off and are all hidden by the time Emma and Henry come through the door with the shopping)
Henry: I know it's weird but I kinda enjoyed shopping with you mom, we don't often get time alone.
Emma: I know it was good
Everyone: (jumps out) SURPRISE!
Snow: Happy Birthday Emma
Emma: Guys, I thought I said I didn't want a fuss for my birthday
Snow: We know, but we weren't there for your first 28 birthday's so we thought we'd do something nice for this one
Emma: Thank you
Charming: I'll go put these away so why don't you two go upstairs and get changed.
Henry: Ok
Emma: Come on Henry
(They go upstairs and come down 20 minutes later wearing party clothes)
Red: Happy Birthday Emma, this is from me and Granny
Emma: Thanks Ruby
(Emma opens the present to find a charm bracelet on which hangs a wolf charm)
Emma: Nice, it's great, thank you
Red: You're welcome
Grace: Hey, Henry, come over here
Henry: Is it ok if I go?
Emma: Sure, you don't have to hang around with me all night, go.
Henry: Thanks mom
(Henry goes over to see his friend and Emma goes to find Snow)
Snow: So what do you think?
Emma: You throw a good party
Snow: You haven't even seen the best part, come on
(Snow leads Emma outside into the marquee)
Emma: You got a marquee!
Snow: Yes, now come on
(Inside the marquee are some tables with beautiful flowers in the centre, a table of food, a dance floor and a table of presents, to the side of which is a wrapped up painting on an easel)
Charming: Go on, open it
Emma: Okay
(Emma opens the present to find a painting of a beautiful Palace and surrounding forest)
Snow: We didn't know what to get you and I know you've already seen it, but you saw a destroyed version
Emma: Get to the point Mary Margaret
Snow: Right, Emma, this is your home, this is what the Enchanted Forest looked like before the curse and that is our Palace.
Emma: It's beautiful, you did this yourself?
Snow: Uh-huh!
Emma: You're good
Snow: Thank you
Charming: Now why don't you go mingle and open some more presents later?
Emma: I will, and thanks for the painting guys, it's gorgeous, we'll hang in the living room tomorrow.
Snow: Yeah we will
Emma: See you later then
Snow and Charming: See ya
(Emma walks off and finds Neal talking with Belle and his father)
Rumplestiltskin: Hello Miss Swan, happy birthday
Emma: Thank you, how are you feeling?
Rumplestiltskin: I am well, thank you for asking
Belle: What he means is he's well enough, but not quite there.
Rumplestiltskin: Belle!
Belle: What? I've seen you wince at movement when you think I'm not looking.
Neal: Dad!
Rumplestiltskin: I wish people would stop fussing over me
Belle: We fuss because we care and I want you at full health when we walk down the aisle
Rumplestiltskin: I will be
(They kiss)
Neal: If you two are gonna do that then I'm walking away, you coming Emma?
Emma: Sure
(Emma and Neal walk away)
