She was an interesting girl, a shy, quiet thing who hid behind her thick locks of blonde hair. Her favorite pastime was reading, and she often sought refuge from the mean kids at school in the world of her trusty Warriors books. In these books, she felt like she could walk alongside Jayfeather as he snuck in the dreams of other cats, or fight with Lionblaze as he surged through battle. It was so colorful, so interesting and intense; that it almost made her forget what a loner she was at school.

Almost.

The girl loved writing, not that she was any good at it. In fact, when she first discovered fanfiction, her attempts at writing it kept on ending in balled up papers thrown in the trash as she gave up yet again. But she kept trying, kept writing throughout that school year, and found that she loved writing. Like reading, she could seek refuge in a world, but this time it was a world that SHE created. She could guide her characters to failure, or to victory. She could make someone a fairy, a witch, or a vampire. It was all at her fingertips.

She discovered a site. A place filled with people like her, creative fans who typed away at their keyboards creating amazing stories. She stayed up late at night reading fanfiction upon fanfiction, laughing, crying, and reviewing as the guest user ILUVJayfeather.

Then she thought, Why not try to post my own stories? They aren't as good as some others, but they're decent.

Slightly hesitantly, she created her account, going by a new name similar to her old one. Typing up a chapter on her old, tiny laptop, she posted the first chapter.

And waited.

She received a review. It was positive, asking for another chapter, saying that they loved her story. Then another review. Then another.

Surprised at the positive feedback, she started up the next chapter, posting it with a grin. More positive feedback, and she posted another. The cycle continued.

Each review filled her with positive energy, that she used to make her fingers fly across the keyboard, posting chapter upon chapter. At the points where she was feeling down from a long day at school, she would scroll through her amazing reviews, and start to write another chapter. Fanfiction was awesome. And so were the other authors who reviewed her story.

It came to a point where her story reached 100 reviews, an amazing milestone. The surprised and happy author was, as usual, inspired to write, and she sat down at her laptop, typing something up.

In case you haven't guessed, I am that girl.

Thank you so much for 100 reviews! I know I've said it before, but I'm glad you guys like Briars so much, and I'm really grateful. The next chapter is delayed because I'm making it extra long for you guys.

Now for the problem of being able to post this…
