Hey everyone x

Erm, sowwy for not updating, I've been kinda busy and I couldn't write anything – but that's the past now and in this chapter is going to be massive, I mean like 'bitch fight' massive.

Basically the Glass House get invited to the reception, because as you all know Rob works at the gym. And Shane is obviously good friends with Rob. So they get invited - but shit starts stirring, lol.

I also want to thank everyone because this story now has over 4,700 views and that's lots. I am also a bit upset that I'm not getting many reviews, because I honestly need lots of advice and things I could improve on – which would help for future chapters and stories.

If you want something to happen in story later on or you have any ideas – message me or put it in the reviews. This applies to all my stories because I'm making sure all of them have been updated by July.

Thanks if you read this x

Oh the chapter /\/\/\/\

Claire POV

I watched as my best friend's drove away in the car. I smiled and waved at them. I honestly couldn't believe it; they were married and were bloody expecting a baby – a baby!

I was twenty two and Monica was Twenty three. I thought my life was completely fucked up. My best friend now had a family and here I was a choreographer teaching people dance and still living with her. I decided I was going to move out, I shouldn't be disturbing their life, and I've still got a few millions in currency from my usual career. I should just spend a few more months in Morganville then go back to Los Angeles, after all more arguments and fights have occurred since I came back. I sighed and climbed into the car with Elle and her sisters.

"The wedding was beautiful!" Elle beamed at me, I gave a small smile in return and watched as the passing buildings and trees went by. I leaned back into the comfortable seat, the wedding was only small with close friends and family invited however I knew the reception would be big judging by the size of the flipping cake.

We soon arrived at the city hall; we stepped out of the car. "Holy shit, it's amazing how they've decorated it – I can't wait till we go inside." I said in awe, Elle shook her head agreeing with me, we both walked into the entrance to younger two following behind us.

I noticed Rob and Monica standing there, I squealed a hugged her. "Oh My God it's amazing! I can't believe you two are finally married!"

Monica giggled at me. "Girl, I can't believe you ain't married with them looks!" I shook my head at her and then hugged Rob.

"Aw, congratulations both of you." I said to them smiling.

Monica turned to me. "We've got some exciting news as well!"

I looked at her biting my lip. "Is Rob pregnant too?" I joked – we all burst out laughing.

"No, but me and Rob got permission off the founder to leave Morganville forever, we're moving to Los Angeles in a month." She said happily.

I squealed excitingly: "that's amazing, I'm so happy for you two, you can finally get away from here."

She smiled at me and we ended up hugging again, I couldn't believe anything anymore, my best friend is finally moving away from this horrid town, where she's lived all her life. She wouldn't have to worry about the safety of her child and could live an amazing life.

I walked over to the main table and sat down – I couldn't wait until the rest of the guests arrived.

Shane POV

I was sitting in the passenger seat as Michael was driving to the city hall. Rob was one of my closest friends and I didn't want to miss the reception – yeah me and Monica didn't really get along before but now we are friends. I am really happy for Rob, him and Monica are perfect for each other and with a baby on the way, I could see them getting a ticket out of Morganville and raising an amazing family.

I was glad Michael is a reasonable person to come, because he knows how close me and Rob are and they are quite good friends themselves – the only issue we had was that the three girls in the back really didn't want to go for stupid reasons.

"Why do we have to come? I mean it's not as if I like anyone there." Eve whined. I sighed at her, didn't she get it? Rob is like family to me, the only blood relatives that I have left are two. My sister who lives in Carolina and my dad isn't exactly alive; it's just his brain in a pot of jelly than runs through a computer system.

"Yeah Eve's right, why the fuck are we going to that bitches reception." Gina butted in. I had enough of their inappropriate attitude.

I turned to them. "Listen, I'm not taking you to make you feel jealous or angry. Rob is one of my close friends and believe me I do not have many that have stood by me like him. Now if you fucking keep up with bad attitude and do anything that might screw this wedding party up, I don't think I could ever forgive you understand?" they both nodded and shut up.

I felt as if that was more directed at Gina than Eve. Honestly I actually felt bad for Eve, I had lied and she believed her best friend had left us for a maniac. Now her personality and appearance had changed – I wasn't exactly a fan of it.

Gina deserved what I said. We had been arguing more often lately, ever since she found out I apologized to Claire for everything, she flipped, and I was getting sick of it. Claire and Monica were actually really nice and stood for what they believed in. And I couldn't blame them.

"erm, Eve? Gina? You know I think Shane is right, you know how close me and him are to Rob we're here for Rob and Monica, it's their wedding for heaven sake, how would you feel if it was your wedding and someone wrecked it?" Michael spoke.

They both sighed and didn't reply. "I would feel horrible if people did that to me." Jenifer finally spoke. I felt shocked, she actually supported the idea. Gina glared at her and Jenifer looked down. If there was anything I could do tonight – it would be to stop Gina's stupid grudge.

Michael pulled up outside City Hall, I quickly got out and walked up to the entrance, Michael was parking with the girls still inside the car. I wanted to congratulate Monica and Rob without them.

As I walked inside I could see them standing beside the gift table, I walked up to them.

"Shane, what are you doing here, I thought you wouldn't want to come?" Monica gave a confused look.

"Well, I couldn't miss your reception could I?" I smiled at them. Rob shook my hand and then hugged me.

"Thanks for coming; I know you couldn't make the ceremony, but at least your here now." Rob grinned.

Monica pulled me into a hug. "Thank you so much, it means a lot." I just smiled and handed them the gift.

"Shane you didn't have to" Monica said.

"It's from me and Michael." I said so they would accept the gift. "The others will be here in a minute so just ignore Eve and Gina. Jenifer and Michael will obviously say hello and all that." They both laughed.

"Right, I'll see you later then at the bar." Rob laughed; I grinned back and walked over to one of the empty tables. I was glad I was getting along with them.

Claire POV

Me and Elle were having a half drunken conversation, when I saw Shane sitting on his own. "I'll be back in a minute!" I shouted over the music, she giggled and walked away. I sat down next to Shane and put my wine onto the table.

"Hey Shane, why you alone?" I asked smiling; we were on good terms now.

"Waiting for the others." He replied. I felt a bit of disappointment wash over me. Hang on, I didn't like Shane?

"You look nice." He complimented me.

"thanks." I smiled and he returned the grin. I bit my lip: "Well I better go before the others come." I said and stood up.

"See ya." He said and drank whatever was in his glass. I waved and walked away. There was no way I liked Shane, I mean come on, we practically once hated each other's guts and he hurt me bad. But he's also so kind and caring. Ugh Claire shut up; this is what your head's saying not your heart.

I walked over to the table and sat down a thousand thoughts rushing and pounding through my head.

'Shane would never like me again. And that's the sad thought.'

Three hours later...

Shane POV

So far, the party had been great – Monica and Rob had cut their cake, people made speeches and they've had their dance, now everyone was getting wasted. I had drank a few beers, but not enough that I would act drunk.

Gina pulled at my arm, "come on, let's go outside." I followed her out the back, she tried to kiss me but I pushed her away.

"What's wrong!?" she demanded. I sighed; I had started to see her true evil over the last week.

"us." I replied.

"There's nothing wrong with us! Your just drunk." She tried kissing me again.

"Gina stop! I've had 2 beers I know I'm not drunk." She took a step back.

"Listen Shane, you've dragged me down to this stupid party and now your fucking ignoring me!" she crossed her arms in anger.

"Gina, I can't do this anymore, you're always getting your own way, bitching about people that I care for, I'm sick of this – we're over." I said strongly.

She cheeks reddened a bit, her expression turned nasty. "You like Claire, don't you?!" She shouted and spat at the same time. But before I could deny it she slapped me hard across the face and stormed inside. Oh shit, she's going to do something bad.

I ran inside, Claire was talking to someone, Gina grabbed a full glass of red wine, and the music had stopped because the DJ was changing tracks. She tapped Claire's shoulder.

"You fucking slut, I no longer have my boyfriend because of you." She shouted everyone turned and faced what was going on. Before anyone else could butt in, Gina threw the wine at Claire which hit her chest and legs ruining the dress, then slapped Claire fully across the face.

Everyone was in too much shock to say anything. Claire looked down at the dress and gasped, then turned to Gina.

"That was a very big mistake." She growled before punching Gina in the centre of her face. Gina fell to the ground; Eve ran over to her and picked her up.

"We're leaving. Come on Jen!" Eve called out.

"No, you take Gina home; I refuse to be involved with this situation." Jenifer replied and turned around, Gina then stood up and wobbled a bit, Eve caught her and then walked out.

"I should take up boxing" Claire finally said and everyone laughed.

Claire POV

I ran to my car which was parked outside, I remember driving it there yesterday. I walked up to it and opened the boot, pulling out a black dress with black stilettos. I always have a spare outfit for 'emergencies' like this one. I walked into the bathroom, got changed and pulled my hair into a messy bun. I left the dress to the side as I was going to leave soon.

I sat at the bar which they had, and ordered strong vodka. He gave me the small bottle. I took a large swig of it, it burned my throat a little but I didn't care. I felt someone else sit next to me – it was Shane.

"sorry." he apologized feeling guilty.

"It's okay, not your fault." I replied – I didn't care, I got to punch Gina so that makes my day.

I looked around the room; Monica had the mic in her hands. "Okay everyone, Rob and I are leaving now, we want to thank you for coming and for the gifts, it's much appreciated and we couldn't thank you enough." Monica smiled, everyone clapped as they began to walk down the stage part. She walked over to me.

"See you in two weeks." She said and hugged me.

"Have a good time!" I said back – she giggled and left waving at everyone, I was just too happy for them.

Thirty minutes later...

I had finished the bottle of Vodka and I felt shattered but still energetic. It was only me, Elle, Jenifer, Shane, Tom and Gerard left. Tom and Gerard were Rob's brothers. We were all sitting on the city hall steps, it was 9:30.

"You're actually tired?" Shane asked.

"Nope, just drank too much vodka." I giggled.

Elle's face lit up, "why don't we go clubbing?!" we all nodded and laughed, we were gonna get so pissed.

By the time I knew it we were at the second club. I sat at a table, whilst the others disappeared somewhere else. Shane came up to me with two beers. "I know you drink beer." He said and sat next to me. I bit my lip, who fucking cares, I liked Shane and I couldn't deny it. I grabbed one beer and started drinking it, and then I was dancing with strangers on a crowded dance floor.

When I returned Shane wasn't sitting down. I looked over by the door and he was standing there, I walked over to him. I was defiantly drunk and so was he. We started to have a random conversation outside, breathing in the cool air. It was 12:58 and I couldn't give a shit about anything.

Me and Shane were talking about the club, when we were suddenly kissing each other. I didn't pull away and neither did he. It felt perfect as if nothing bad had ever happened and I was glad.

Yay it's done! I finally got Shane and Claire together, well building their relationship at least. This chapter was quite long and I'm really proud because I actually put so much effort into this. As it was one of the key parts of the story where Claire and Shane realise they have both made mistakes.

If anyone wants something to happen in the story message me or write it in the reviews!

Thanks for reading it and I should update sometime this week, hopefully tomorrow! X
