A/N Sorry about the cliffhanger...actually I'm not. Although, it wasn't THAT bad. Believe me I could do much worse!

This wasn't happening.
Nope. Natsu could not be this stupid...right?
Lucy shut her eyes.
It was all a dream and when she opened her eyes again, she will still be in bed. Because Natsu was not kissing/ giving her CPR in front of the entire school. It was all something she had created in her mind.
"She isn't waking up! Am I doing it wrong?" whined Dream Natsu.
There was a pause. "Look, I saw her move. I think it's working, Natsu! Do it again!" encouraged another voice that Lucy didn't recognize.
AGAIN?! He couldn't be serious! Because dream or not, she wasn't just going to sit there!
But before she could protest, Natsu's mouth came back down to meet hers again. He began to pry her mouth open once again, and in response, Lucy clamped her mouth tightly shut. However, as soon as she did this, Natsu let out a note of surprise and broke their contact.
Lucy's eyes shot open to meet Natsu's. As they held each others' gaze for a moment, Lucy realized two things.
One, this - no matter how much she wished it was - wasn't a dream.
Two, she was still on her back; legs underneath Natsu's, as he crouched over her with his face still centimeters away.
"Luce! You woke up!" Natsu said happily, "I was worried when you fell and hit the ground on your head. I mean, you could have been seriously hurt, but now that you are awake it-OAF!"
Natsu stiffened and fell to the ground next to Lucy, curling up into the fetal position. Lucy raised her hands to cover her face which now rivaled that of a tomato. Her leg was still raised slightly, where she had moments before, kicked Natsu in the groin.
"Lu-chan! Are you okay?"
Lucy peeked between her fingers and saw Levy and Jellal's face hovering over hers, faces creased with worry.
"I'm okay." she said. She sat up and rose unsteadily to her feet before looking over at the teenager next to her, "Although, I don't think Natsu is."
Levy and Jellal both turned to look at the said boy. They watched as Natsu raised his head and looked at Lucy with a pained expression, "Luce, that hurt!"
"You wouldn't get off of me!" replied Lucy, defensively.
A loud laugh came from above Lucy. She turned to see Gray kneeled over and trying unsuccessfully to contain his laughter. He glanced up at Natsu as he wiped a tear from his eye.
"Yo, Flamebrain, never knew you could be beaten by a single hit!" Gray said, before sending himself into another round of laughter.
There was grunt and then a flash of pink raced by. Gray's eyes widened in surprise as Natsu tackled him in the stomach, knocking them both backwards.
"He recovers fast." muttered Jellal as everyone watched the two boys disappear over the back edge of the float.
There was a loud thunk when both boys hit the ground. Although, no one seemed the least bit concerned about the two boys as the sounds of their fighting resumed quickly.
There was a tap on Lucy shoulder and Levy quietly whispered, "I think we should take you to the nurse."
Lucy grimaced at her friend, "No, I am really okay."
"Are you sure? I mean, I would want to leave if I were you." Levy said, gesturing to the stands behind her.
Lucy raised her eyes to see everyone staring at her and Levy with interest.
Lucy felt herself turn a shade redder. They had been watching her ever since she fell from the float and was knocked unconscious!
Lucy quickly turned to her friend, "On second thought, we should go...now."
"I swear the next time I see Natsu I'll-." grumbled Lucy, not bothering to finish her threat.
"It is not that bad, Lu-chan, he was only trying to help."
Lucy ignored Levy and continued, "It was in front of the whole school too! Couldn't he had found a better place to be an idiot?" Lucy groaned and buried her head in her pillow. "This is going to be the talk for the next month."
Lucy and Levy just arrived at the nurse's office a few minutes prior - Jellal opting to stay back and keep Erza from murdering Natsu and Gray for fighting - and they were seated in one of the beds in the back. Levy had drawn the curtain, so they could have some privacy in order to talk.
While Lucy was under the covers in the bed, Levy had decided to sit at the foot. Although the distance proved difficult as she tried to make light of the events that had taken place moments before.
"Not everyone was looking at you." Levy said, comforting, "I mean, Natsu and Gray's fight had distracted most of them."
Lucy lifted her head from the pillow to look at her friend with wide eyes, "Are you joking? They were all staring at me like I was a mutant!" Lucy collapsed once again into the bed, but this time she placed the pillow over her head. "This day is turning out to be horrible."
"Not completely." Levy grinned. "You did get kissed by Natsu more than once! Most girls would kill to be you." she added, cheerfully.
"Oh no!" Lucy said as she sat up, the pillow dropping into her lap, "That was not a kiss! That was CPR that was forced upon me. That hardly counts as anything."
Levy smirked, "According to the dictionary, a kiss is 'a touch of one's lips to another'. Therefore, technically, it was."
"Not. You forgot the part where it says 'in a sign of love or greeting'." Lucy added.
Levy pouted and crossed her arms, "He could have meant it that way."
"You sound like Mira."
Levy's response was cut off when the curtain was suddenly whipped to one side. It was Mirajane and Wendy, who upon spotting the blonde, she immediately ran over to her side.
"Lucy! I heard everything that happened to you from Lisanna. I got worried, so I rushed over to see you. Does your head still hurt?"
Lucy couldn't help but smile at the small girl. "Just a headache, I will be fine in a bit, Wendy."
"I'll go get you some water and cold compress. They will help with your headache." With that, Wendy ran off. When she was out of sight, Levy reached over and re drew the curtain.
Lucy turned her attention on Mirajane.
"What are you hiding, Mira?" questioned Lucy, suspiciously.
Mirajane widened her eyes in false innocence and smiled, "Nothing!"
Lucy narrowed her eyes, "Stop acting all innocent and tell me."
Mirajane pouted before pulling a flyer, that she was previously concealing from their view, out from behind her back. Levy took the flyer from her hand and starting reading. Once she finished, her eyes got wide, "They can't be serious." She looked up at Mirajane "...right?"
Mirajane clapped her hands together, "But they are!"
"What is it?" asked Lucy.
Levy shook her head and passed the flyer to Lucy. Lucy reached over and grabbed it before starting to read:
CAR WASH FUNDRAISER
Lucy glanced up at Levy and Mirajane in surprise, "Fundraiser? What are they talking about?"
"Keep reading, it gets better." answered Levy.
Lucy looked back down and resumed reading:
In order to raise money for Víla High's float, students will be holding a Car Wash this weekend. Although, donations are also encouraged.
Times
9 o'clock - Noon
1 o'clock - 4 o'clock
Please note there will be a lunch break for the students between twelve and one. We will not be washing any cars during this period. Also note that each car wash is 5$ apiece. In the case you have more than one car, you must pay another 5$ in order for it to be washed. We hope to see you there!'
"I don't get it." She looked up confused. "It's just some stupid fundraiser the school is doing." asked Lucy
"You didn't read the part down at the bottom." answered Levy
Lucy glanced down at the very bottom of the flyer,
'REMINDER FOR ALL STUDENTS: IT IS MANDATORY FOR YOUR ATTENDANCE AT THE FUNDRAISER. AS OF FRIDAY, NO EXCUSES WILL BE VALIDATED OR TAKEN!'
Lucy's eyes widened. They couldn't do that!
"They can and they are." said Levy, as if reading Lucy's mind.
"Cheer up! It will be great." said Mirajane, in an attempt to cheer up the two sulking girls.
Lucy rolled her eyes at Mirajane just as Wendy came back; a compress in one hand and a glass of water in another.
"The water is to keep you hydrated and the compress should make the headache better." said Wendy, cheerfully.
"Thanks, Wendy, you're always the best at these things." said Lucy. She swifitly drained the glass before placing the compress of her forehead.
The blue haired girl blushed, "It wasn't any trouble." she muttered, toeing the floor.
Lucy turned her attention back to Mirajane, "So, this means everyone in the entire school is forced to come? Won't they have too many people?"
Mirajane sat next to Levy and began twirling her white hair on her finger.
"No, each grade level has to report to a different location. They are having four car washes going on at four different locations. This way they get the most profit out of the fundraiser."
"Where do we go?" asked Levy
"At the parking lot next to 'Spettro's Coffeeshop'."
Lucy sighed, "I can't believe this."
"It's not that bad." said Wendy "Maybe you will have fun."
"Maybe."
"Oh!" yelped Wendy suddenly, causing everyone to jump, "I forgot to give you something!"
"What-?" said Levy, confused, as Wendy ran off once again. A few moments later, Wendy returned with a manila folder in her hand.
"Erza wanted me to give this to you," said Wendy, handing the folder to Lucy, "It is for Mavis. She needs a response by Monday."
Lucy smiled and took the folder from Wendy, "I will have it done by tonight."
A/N Like it? I know I do! Don't kill me if the updates are a little slow, I am starting to get busy in my life. I made Varsity Soccer, so I have practice. Plus, i'm entering an Art Competition and I have my regular workload of homework to take care of. No worries, updates will never be more than two weeks at the max. Unless I have a block...which I won't have for a while, since I have so many ideas.
