3 Years Later…
It was about 9:30 when Bernadette finally had to wake her sleepy daughter. The mother brought the tiny toddler into her arms, brushing the thick tangled mess of brown hair out of her face. Becca balled up her little fists and rubbed them against her eyes. Today was Friday, her special day with mommy.
"Good Morning Becs," Bernadette kissed her daughter's forehead, "You were one sleepy girl!"
"Morning Momma," the little girl yawned, "What are we doing?"
"Well," Bernie smiled, setting her on the bathroom counter, "we are getting ready to go to Perrin and Shelly's house!"
"Really momma, really?" Becca clapped her tiny hands. She loved going over to her friends' homes, especially on days when all of her aunts weren't working.
"Yes, really!" her mother replied, pulling the girls soft curls into a ponytail, much like her own, "Now go put on what you want to wear."
Becca's little feet raced out of the bathroom and into her room, throwing open the closet doors. She grabbed a blue floral dress and a crème sweater trying to match her mother as best possible. She also grabbed a brand new pair of princess panties. Bernadette slipped the dress over her head and being the big girl she was, Becca buttoned her sweater herself. The toddler ran over to her table and placed the small pink glasses frames on her face.
"Ready!" she smiled at her mother.
"Almost!" Bernie tapped her nose with her index finger.
"Almost?" Becca racked her brain. What wasn't ready?
"Shoes," her mother replied pulling the pair of Mary Jane's out from behind her back, "Silly girl, you love to be barefoot!"
"Ya," Becca grinned, "But, I'm your silly girl, Momma!"
Bernadette slipped the shiny black shoes on to her tiny feet and they were out the door. Bernie and Becca occupied the ride by singing to all the songs on the radio. The mother/daughter duo was almost inseparable, and it took no effort to tell that the pair belonged to each other. Becca often chose outfits that resembled her mother's, making her look even more like a mini Bernadette. They soon arrived at 2311 North Roblez Avenue. Becca clung to her mother as they walked up the four flights of stairs.
"Mommy," Becca sighed shaking her head, "when are they going to fix that elevator?"
"I don't know baby," Bernie giggled, "I really don't know."
They finally reached apartment 4A, as Becca's tiny fist rapped on the door. It swung open to reveal her Aunt Penny.
"Aunt Pen Pen!" Becca squealed reaching into her arms.
"Hey Baby Doll!" Penny replied kissing her check. Much like Bernadette's relationship with Peter, Penny and Becca just seemed to have a connection.
"BEEEEEEECCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCA!" Lanie yelled, running into the living room, followed by Perrin and Ravali.
"Hi!" Becca smiled as the four girls hugged.
"Were playing princesses," Perrin smiled wearing a tiara similar to her mother's
"Ya, I'm Cinderella, Perrin is Snow White, and Ravali is Jasmine!" Lanie clapped her hands.
"What to play?" Ravali shyly asked.
"Sure," Becca grinned, "I'm going to be Princess Leia!" The girls looked on at their friend in confusion.
"Oh, honey, I think they meant Disney Princesses," Amy patted the girl's back.
"Silly Aunt Amy," Becca giggled, "Princess Leia is a Disney Princess! Let's go play!"
The four girls scampered off, as the mother sat down with their coffee, for a much needed break.
"You know, Becca looks more and acts more and more like you every day, "Layla began, "But, then she goes and says something like that and reminds me that there is some Howard in her too!"
"Ya, she's on a Star Wars kick!" Bernadette rolled her eyes, "Don't even get me started!"
"I feel your pain," Penny laughed, "Lanie is Leonard. She is just so naturally smart. I feel bad about how much it frustrates Peter. Sadly, he's just like me."
"How is kindergarten going?" Amy asked.
"Oh, Lukesh and Peter are always causing some sort of trouble!" Layla shook her head.
"Ya, like I said, that's my son." Penny sighed.
The door swung open to reveal Howard and a very distraught pair of Sheldons.
"Sheldon, they gave us a half day, be happy!" Howard sighed.
"How can I be happy, Sheldon 2 and I are on a very strict schedule when it comes to his education in physics!" the lanky man replied.
"Really, Uncle Howard, it's a travesty," Sheldon 2 continued, sounding too much like his father.
Before they even entered the room, little feet could be heard running towards them. Becca, shoes off, came tearing through the living area, followed by her friends.
"Daddy!" she screamed, jumping into his arms and kissing his cheek,
"Hey Becca Boo! Whatcha doin?" Howard asked ruffling her bangs.
"Playing Princesses! Daddy will you put my hair in the Princess Leia buns?" Becca asked.
"Of course baby girl! Anything for my princess!" Howard replied sitting her down on to his lap.
As that commotion died down, another began as Raj and Leonard returned with two rambunctious boys.
"Pete Pete!" Becca smiled from her father's lap as Peter Hofstadter entered the room.
The five year old blushed walking towards her, "Hi Becca," he stood fidgeting with his hands behind his back. Although he was his mother in almost every way, Peter had his father's face and ability to be completely awkward around girls, "I like your hair."
"Thanks," Becca smiled coyly, touching her freshly done buns, "We're playing Princesses, I'm Princess Leia!"
"Really? That's cool!" Peter smiled at a topic he knew.
"Ya, do you wanna play?" the little girl jumped off her father's lap and approached him.
"Can I?" Peter asked, "Who would I be?"
Becca smiled, her eyes narrowed in thought. The little girl stood on her toes to reach the young boy's face, "You can be Han Solo," Becca leaned in and placed a tiny peck on Peter's lips. The five year old froze, eyes wide in shock, "Come on, Pete Pee, let's go play!"
The bouncing little brunette took his hand as she and the others trailed off to the twin's room. The adults in the room said nothing, still shocked by Becca's actions.
"Oh…my…God…" Penny burst out in laughter, "Howard, she sure inherited your libido!"
"You are going to have your hands full if that continues!" Raj chuckled as Howard placed his head in his hands.
"Of all the things she could have taken from my genets, that's what she gets!" he shook his head.
"Oh it's called Karma," Leonard patted Howard on the back.
He looked up to his friend, "You know, your son is dead to me!"
"Oh Howie," Bernadette giggled, "It was just one kiss. Kids do it all the time, it's nothing!"
"They have a crush, it's cute! I'm sure it's a phase they'll grow out of!" Penny added with reassurance, moving the conversation to other topics.
