Hiccup

When we landed Rapunzel was still asleep. That was a very good thing, since I got the feeling that she didn't like useless, insane bickering or sharp words. So far she seems like a really sweet girl, and she radiates innocence even though there was a little bit back at the tower where she seemed a little depressed. She seems smart too so I'm hoping at least we'll get along. Anyway, as I was saying, the fiery red-head, uh Merrida I think, insisted on being the one to scout the area. That wasn't really a problem until later, when we started to get worried. So Appalo set out after her. And I swear you could hear her telling him off from miles away. She got so mad that her face was as red as her hair. It was actually really scary to me but Jack started laughing and that lead to a whole 'nother argument.

"Wot are ye laughin' at Frosty?!" Jack raised his eyebrows.

"Frosty huh? Eh, I've heard better."

"Are ye insultin' me Frosty?!"

"Yes I am, Hot Head."

"Oi!"

"Shut it!" Arieda busted in.

"He's insultin' me!" Merrida yelled at her.

"Hey! You started it!" Jack yelled.

"You were laughin' at me!" I sighed.

"Hey you guys?" They all whirled on me. I took a deep breath before I continued. "You are going to wake up Rapunzel if you keep yelling like that." Jack's eyes widened and he turned to look back at her, probably making sure she was still asleep. When we had landed, he quickly laid her down on her hair and then covered her with it. And let me just say, that has to be the weirdest thing I have ever seen. I mean this girl's hair was probably about sixty to seventy feet long and it was almost gold in color. And this wasn't something new that she was given? That was her original hair. I mean come on! Natural hair does not grow that long. Anyway, at this point, Appalo had gotten a nice fire going and Merrida was getting frustrated with trying to make herself a small shelter.

"Yo Princess! Too good to sleep on the ground?" Appalo called out to her. I facepalmed myself as she whirled around. She opened her mouth to retort but her eyes fell on the sleeping girl a few feet from her and she managed to restrain herself. Then I heard Jack speak and I realized that Rapunzel was awake. And then Arieda told Jack he was talking about the wrong fairytale and we all laughed. Rapunzel had to ask what they were talking about and we all laughed harder.

Eventually, after Jack spent a good five minutes trying to explain it to her, she laughed with us. She looked around and seemed to notice our...erm...uncomfortable sleeping arrangements. She immediately leaped up and started rummaging in her bag. She pulled out some yarn and I realized what she was trying to do.

"Hey, um, Rapunzel?" She jerked her head up and her large, green eyes looked at me questioningly. "You, uh, don't need to make me one. I've got Toothless here to keep me warm." She smiled at my and nodded, although I got the feeling she was going to make me one anyway. I watched as she hooked the yarn onto a think needle and started to uh...actually I don't know what she was doing, but she seemed to be doing faster than an average person. I was proven right when Jack started to stare at her, wide-eyed.

"Hey Punzie? I think you're breaking your speed record." He said. She looked up, startled. She seemed confused and looked as if she was going to ask him what he was talking about, when he pointed down at her work, where she found that the blanket she was making was already half way done. Her eyes went wide for a second before she looked up and smiled.

"Well it looks like I've got a new power!" She squealed, excitedly. She jumped up and started to...dance? If it could be called dancing. It closely resembled a child's 'happy dance'. Jack laughed and even my mouth twitched up a bit.

Half an hour later, Rapunzel had finished making thick, warm blankets. She even made me one, though I had told her she didn't need to. It was beautiful. The green and black colors popping out. We all settled down on our new blankets and tried to go to sleep. I was awake, watching the fire crackle down, when Toothless shot up.

"Woah boy! What is it?" He growled and took off after something in the woods. I stood up quickly and started to follow him. When I caught up to him, he had a teenage girl under him. I rushed over and tried to calm him down and get him off of her, but he plain out refused. I started apologizing to the girl when I was caught in her stunning ice blue eyes. She laughed.

"You really should trust your dragon more, Hiccup." she said and my eyes widened in shock. How did she know my name?

"I love dragons. Such smart, protective creatures." she said with a smile. Then she disappeared only to reappear next to me. Everything was frozen as if time had stopped. The girl held something sharp under my chin and examined me carefully. And then she scoffed at me.

"Do they really think someone like you could defeat us? You've no chance if you can't even tell what is real and what isn't. Tell Jack I said hi for me will ya?" Her wicked grin was the last thing I saw before everything went black.
