"Then who the hell is?" Dean asked from our side of the phone. We had just been informed that Roy wasn't the one that was controlling the reaper. So now we had to figure out who it was. Frantically, Dean and I started looking around and after a second Dean grabbed my arm. I followed his eyes.
"Sue Ann." Dean and I said at the same time. Dean took off towards Sue Ann and I followed after him. When he spun her around she sucked in a breath of air and stopped the ritual. She had been clutching a cross to her chest and Dean's gaze shifted to me before looking back at Sue Ann when she started screaming,
"Help! Help me!" Dean slowly backed away from her as he shook his head while I backed up with him and put my hands up in surrender.
Two cops came up behind us and roughly pulled us from the tent. As soon as we are outside Dean and I shook them off. Sue Ann had been following us out the tent.
"Well," I clapped my hands together, "if it isn't the wicked bitch of the tent." I heard Dean snort out a laugh,
"Ahh Kitty Kat. Such an inappropriate time for your amazing comments." He licked his lips and looked up to the sky, still trying to stifle his laughter.
She gave me a bitch-face before opening her mouth to speak, "I just don't understand. After everything we've done for you. After Roy healed you. I'm just very, very disappointed Kat." I stare at her but I didn't say anything. "You can let them go. I'm not going to press charges. The Lord will deal with her as he sees fit." I looked to Dean and he just shrugged, unfazed by her threat.
One of the cops looked to me and said, "We catch you round here again, we'll put the fear of God in you, understand?"
"The fear of God? Shaking in my boots. Yada, yada, yada. Whatever." I patted him on the shoulder as he passed and I thought he was going to bite my hand off. When I turned around, Jordan was waiting for me.
"Jordan?"
"Why would you do that Kat? And it could have been my only chance."
"Jordan, I'm so sorry. But he's not a healer."
"Kat! He healed you. Why not me too?"
"I know. I know that is doesn't make since and I know is sucks cow shit. It's not fair. It's really not. And I wish I could explain but Roy isn't the answer. I'm so sorry, Jordan.
Jordan kept his eyes cast down towards our feet. "Goodbye, Kat."
I watched his back as he walked away. "He couldn't even look in my eyes." Dean put his arm around me and squeezed my shoulder.
"Private session tonight," I looked up at Roy's voice. He was talking to Jordan and his mom. "No interruptions. I give you my word, I'll heal your son." Dean and I walked over to where Sam was waiting for us.

Sam was sitting on the bed and was the first to speak. "So Roy really believes." I shrugged. I wasn't in the talking mood much since Jordan and I last spoke.
"I don't think he has any idea what his wife's doing," Dean agreed. We sat at the table, playing card games. This was how Dean used to calm me down back before and after I had gotten out of the hospital.
"Well, I found this." Sam handed Dean a book. "Hidden in their library. It's ancient. Written by a priest who went dark side. There's a binding spell in here for trapping a reaper." Dean held up the book for me to see. I glanced at it just long enough to see the picture and then averted my eyes back to my hand of cards.
"Must be a hell of a spell." Dean put down a card and I looked at him like he was crazy. I retracted the card and replaced it with a differed one with a smirk.
"Yeah…" Sam eyed the card game we were playing like we were crazy. He shook his head before continuing. "You gotta build a black alter with seriously dark stuff. Bones, human blood. To cross a line like that, a preachers wife. Black magic. Murder. Evil." I put down a card.
"Desperate. Her husband was dying, she didn't have anything to save him. She was using the binding spell to keep the reaper away from Roy."
"Dean, what the fuck is that?" I asked, motioning to the Joker card he put down.
"Cheating death, literally," Sam continued on totally ignoring me.
"You always play with Jokers," Dean glared at me before turning his attention back to Sam. "Yeah but Roy's alive, so why is she still using the spell?"
"Right. To force the reaper to kill people she thinks are immoral." Sam gave another look at the card game. "What the hell are you two even playing?" I glared at him. The nerve. Insulting our game.
"Dean made it up." Was my short answer.
"May God save us from half the people who think they're doing God's work." I smiled at Dean's words. "Ahh, she smiles." He smiled back.
"We gotta break that binding spell Dean." Sam was acting as if I didn't even exist at this point. I had been ignoring them like the five year old I am when Dean suggested we play Smackle. Dean took the book back from Sam and gave it another long hard look.
"You know Sue Ann had a cross like this. When she dropped it the reaper backed off." Dean looked thoughtful. He held his cards at an angle that made me lean over to peak at it. He caught my line of vision and yanked them back so I couldn't see them anymore.
"So you think we gotta find the cross or destroy the alter?" Why was Sam always so boring!? Sam is the king of SuckerOfFunVille. Seriously.
"Maybe both. Whatever we do we better do it soon, or he's healing Jordan tonight." All hail King Sam and his loyal follower Dean.

Dean pulled the Impala into a spot and parked, killing the engine. I leaned out the car window and draped my arms out like I was a little kid.
"That's Jordan's mom's car. They're already here." My voice dropped.
Dean looked at me with his pity eyes, "Yeah."
"Kat..." I cut Sam off
"You know if Roy would have picked Jordan instead of me he'd be here right now. And if he's not healed tonight he's gunna die in a couple of months." My voice still barely above a whisper.
"What's happening to him is horrible. But what are you going to do? Let somebody else die to save him? You can't play God, remember kitty?" I glared daggers at Sam. After a couple moments of not speaking I got out of the car and slowly approached the tent. I heard the car doors slamming shut behind me letting me know that Dean and Sam were following me.
"Gather round, please everyone, gather round. Come in closer, come on up." Roy instructed from the front of the tent.
"Where's Sue Ann?" Dean whispered to us.
"House." At Sam's answer the three of us moved to the house
"Go find Sue Ann, we'll catch up." Dean said, grabbing my hand and pulling me along with him.
"What are you going...?" Sam started but stopped when Dean called out.
"Hey!" I looked to were Dean was calling to and I saw the cops from earlier moving our way.
"Ah shit, Dean, why?" I complained.
"You gunna put that fear of God in us?" The cops dropped their coffee cups and took off running after us. I gave Dean my 'you've got to be fucking kidding me' look and he shrugged before we turned around and bolted.
At some point Dean had grabbed my hand and lead me up beside a camper van. The cops were in the other side of the van with flashlights.
"You see them?" One cop said the other.
"Nah."
Dean and I slowly rose next to the passenger window of the camper van, looking behind us. A large dog jumped at the window, wildly barking and we leaped back. Dean dragged me on top of the van and signaled for me to lay still and flat. On the other side of the van the cops shine their lights underneath, then at the still barking dog. I held my breath and squeezed Dean's hand.
"Psycho mutt." The cop muttered.
Dean and I got off the top of the van and started making our way towards the tent when out of fucking NOWHERE a couple lights went out. We stopped walking and I spun around looking for something that caused it. I turned again to see the reaper walking towards us. "Uhhh, Dean?" I pointed at the reaper and he gave me a look.
"What? I don't see anything."
"Reaper," I whispered out.
The reaper placed his hand on the side of my head and I felt myself start to convulse. The life was literally being sucked out of me when suddenly the reaper stopped and looked up. I fell the rest of the way to the ground and started gasping for air. Dean had been calling my name through the whole ordeal and now he was on his knees by my side.
"Kat?"
"I'm okay." I was still breathless and I dropped my head down to the ground.
Dean and I were just making it back to the Impala when Sam ran up to us. "Hey, you two okay?"
"Peachy," I smiled sarcastically.
"Hell of a week." Dean shook his head as he fished out the keys from his pocket.
"Yeah...All right, come on. We should get going."

Back inside our motel room I was sitting on the bed, staring at the wall while Dean and Sam sat at the table sending worried glances my way.
"What is it?" The question is directed at me but I can't even be bothered to look up at Sam.
"Nothing," I pulled my eyes away from the wall and drop them to my clasped hands that were smushed between my thighs.
"Kat." Sam tried again. I sighed.
"We did the right thing here didn't we?" I scrunched my forehead and looked back up to the wall.
"Of course we did." Dean came over and sat beside me. Grabbing my hand. I still couldn't meet their eyes so I averted them back to our hands.
"It doesn't feel like it." Tears burned my eyes. A knock on the door stops all talk.
"I got it." Sam moved to the door and opened it. After a second I looked up.
"Jordan." I breathed out. What the hell was he doing here?
"Hey." He walks into the room and I get up from the bed, moving towards him.
"Sam...called. He said you...wanted to say goodbye?" I looked over at Sam and smiled my 'thanks' and he nodded a 'you're welcome'.
"I'm gunna...grab a soda, Dean." Sam tries to pull Dean out the room. Reluctantly, Dean left not wanting to leave me in a room by myself with a boy.
"So, uh. Where are you going?"
I shrugged, "Don't know yet. Our work kinda takes us all over."
He nodded. "You know...I went back to see Roy." I looked away from him.
"What happened?" I asked the very stained carpet. I already knew what happened. Jordan sat on the bed before throwing his hands up,
"Nothing." He said, exasperated. "He laid his hands on my forehead but nothing happened."
I sat next to him, finally looking at him. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry it didn't work."
"It's not your fault, Kat." He reassured me, grabbing my hand. Even though he said it wasn't my fault I couldn't help but feel like it was. "And Sue Ann. She's dead you know? Stroke."
"Yeah I heard. You know Roy's a good man. He doesn't deserve what's happened." I'd never used a soft voice when talking to people that where practically strangers before. "So what are you going to do now?"
"There's nothing left for me to do. I just have to accept my fate." He squeezed my hand. "I gotta get going." He leaned over and kissed me. Soft but quick. "By Kitty Kat." That was the last time I would ever see or speak to Jordan. Because within a few months he would be dead. Because of me.
