It had been a week and nobody had heard from 'A', nor had there been any more attacks. Wyatt had stayed out of Ella's way at work, not wanting her to get suspicious about why he was hanging around her family so much.

None of the girls had spoken much to Alison either, figuring she'd want some time alone with her family after what had happened. Luckily no one else had found out that she was alive again after Jessica DiLaurentis had asked their Whitelighter to shield Alison from anyone searching for her.

Ella was slightly surprised when she received an invitation for dinner at the DiLaurentis' house, along with her sisters and Aria. She realised that Jessica probably wanted to thank them for the part they played in bringing her daughter home and gratefully accepted her invitation.

The six women were now sat around the ornate dining table in Jessica's pristine dining room, joined by Kenneth and Jason, who Ella found out had always known of Jessica's heritage. Jason had also inherited her powers, although she'd refused to unbind them until Jason cleaned up his act. Until recently this hadn't bothered him but since Alison had returned he'd been trying to prove himself responsible enough to take on his gift.

"We're so glad you could all make it." Kenneth said as Jessica served up the food. "We really can't tell you how grateful we are for what you did for Alison."

"I'm just happy she's safe again." Ella smiled politely. She'd always felt slightly intimidated around the DiLaurentis family, a feeling she'd found that she shared with Ashley Marin, who had brought it up one evening when they met for drinks.

"I still can't believe that you are the Charmed Ones. Jessica's mentioned you but always in the sense that you were a Wiccan legend."

"Oh we are very much real." Paige replied, sharing a look with Phoebe. They were both suspicious of this family's motives in inviting them here since Ella had mentioned them never having done it before. She described them as if they were very elitist, much like the Hastings', and all three sisters agreed they probably only wanted to show off that they were friends with the most powerful Wiccan family.

When a lull hit the conversation, Jessica moved on to a topic that none of them really wanted to discuss.

"So what are we going to do about 'A'?" She asked. It was as if the world came to a halt at those words as diner suddenly turned from polite conversation to deadly serious.

"We don't know." Phoebe admitted. "But we're doing everything we can to keep the girls safe."

"Well if there's anything we can do to help…" Jessica offered and Phoebe gave her a smile.

"Thanks but we think we have things under control for now."

The rest of the meal passed uneventfully, which made a change from all the recent demon attacks they'd been having whenever there was a dinner party. The Halliwells thanked their hosts and left. No one spoke much on the drive home, except to comment on how nice the evening was in comparison to what they'd expected upon receiving the invitation from such an elitist family.

The next morning Aria met up with her friends in the Apple Rose Grille before school. They each ordered a coffee and took a seat so that they could catch up, having not had a chance to talk much during the week. Hanna had been spending a lot of time with Mona, who was going through a break up, and Emily had wanted to stay at home to see her visiting father.

"Has anyone had any more texts from 'A'?" Emily asked.

The other three girls shook their heads.

"Maybe they've given up." Hanna suggested hopefully.

"They don't really seem like the type." Spencer replied.

"What do you guys think of Chris?" Hanna asked.

"Whitelighter Chris or Chris from our biology class?" Emily teased.

"Ew, no Em that's gross. Whitelighter Chris."

"He's cute." Spencer agreed. "But isn't it against the rules for Whitelighters to date the people they look after?"

"There's no harm in a little flirting though." Hanna smiled. "Right, Aria?"

Aria froze. She hadn't told her friends about the offer 'A' had sent to her mom, not wanting to get in to her relationship with Ezra, but she had a feeling she should warn them that her family didn't trust the two new Whitelighters who had conveniently arrived on the scene days before they'd needed their help.

Deciding to try and tell them as much of the truth as she could, without mentioning Ezra, she replied. "I don't know, Han, I get a bad feeling about the guy."

"As in a witchy bad feeling?" Emily asked, starting to get worried.

"Not so loud!" She scolded her friend. "And no, I just think he's hiding something and my mom agrees."

"Like what?"

"I don't know." Aria admitted.

"It does seem suspicious that they didn't tell you guys that they were Whitelighters straight away." Spencer mused.

"It's more than that though. 'A' has told my mom that there's something they aren't telling us but won't tell her what it is."

"Of course they won't." Hanna replied. "How else is that bitch going to be able to mess with us?"

Their attention was drawn away from answering Hanna's question when Wyatt entered the coffee shop, followed by Ezra.

"What's he doing with Mr Fitz?" Emily whispered.

"They do work together." Spencer pointed out.

"I know, I just didn't realise that they were friends."

Aria stayed quiet, not trusting herself to talk about Ezra in front of her friends. They all knew each other so well that they'd probably be able to tell that something was going on between them if she made the tiniest slip up. Instead, she focused on the two men, trying to hear what they were talking about.

When the barista turned his back to make their drinks Aria thought she saw the sugar move along the counter on its own.

"Guys, I think Wyatt just used magic." She hissed, alerting her friends.

"Is that wise in public?" Emily asked.

"Not Whitelighter magic. Telekinesis. Only witches and some demons have that power."

"Are you sure that's what you saw?" Hanna questioned.

Aria thought for a minute. It was very brief, maybe she'd just imagined it. "Not a hundred per cent." She admitted.

At that moment Ezra looked their way, his eyes immediately falling on Aria, who blushed under his gaze. Someone whispered that the two men had noticed them but Aria couldn't recall who had said it, her attention too focused on the man she secretly thought she was in love with.

Wyatt and Ezra both politely greeted the girls, neither of them seemingly aware that the other was more familiar with the group than they were with any other students.

"Hi Mr Fitz." Hanna greeted. "And Mr Halliwell." She added with a smile.

"Morning girls. I hope you're all prepared for the test today." Ezra said. Spencer nodded while the other three girls shared a guilty look, wondering how their friend had time to study with everything else that had been going on in their lives recently. "Well good luck."

"Thanks, sir." Emily replied.

"Well we should get going." Wyatt decided. "You girls know where I'll be if you need anything." He added as an afterthought and they each nodded, leaving Ezra oblivious to the real meaning behind his words.

They each said their goodbyes and the two men left the coffee shop.

"We should probably leave soon as well." Spencer said, looking at her watch. The other girls agreed and started to gather their belongings and head to school.

Later that evening Aria was sat in the living room with Ella and her aunts watching a film when Leo and Gideon orbed in unannounced.

"Leo, Gideon." Paige greeted them.

"What are you guys doing here?" Phoebe asked.

"The Elders think they have a lead on who 'A' is." Leo explained. "Wyatt and Chris are just getting the other girls as we speak."

In less than a minute they were joined by Hanna, Emily, Spencer, Alison, Jessica and their respective Whitelighters. None of them could deny how much this had made them love magic.

"So what's this new lead?" Ella asked.

Gideon started to explain what the Elders knew. "Back when the Source was in power he had a Seer working for him. She had been by his side for centuries and now that he's been vanquished we think she's looking to take his place."

"So why target the girls?" Phoebe asked. "If someone wanted to be the new Source wouldn't they just try and take out the Charmed ones?"

"She might be trying to mess with you before she takes you out." Gideon reasoned.

"But then why is Ella the only Charmed one getting threats?" Paige added.

"We don't know." Leo admitted, stepping in. "But we do know that she's a big threat to you guys right now. This Seer has the powers to be 'A' but even if she isn't she's still getting too powerful and the Elders need you to vanquish her."

"What else do we know about this Seer?" Jessica asked.

"Not much." Leo replied sadly. "That's why we asked you all to be here today. The Elders are doing all we can but the more people we have working on this, the faster we will be able to vanquish her and, ultimately, the more lives we will save."

"And on that note, I have work to get back to." Gideon said. "Good luck." He added as he orbed out.

Once he was gone, Hanna spoke up. "I'm sorry but why did we need to be here for this?"

"Gideon didn't want you to be but I told him this affects you girls as much as it does the witches. You deserve to be kept in the loop." Leo explained.

"So how do we go about vanquishing the Seer?" Aria asked.

"You're not going to do anything." Ella warned her. "But in answer to your question she's obviously an upper level demon so we can make a vanquishing potion but we will need some of her flesh."

"That's gross." Alison commented.

"How are we going to get that?" Aria asked again, ignoring her mother's previous warning.

"I'm serious, Aria. You're not getting involved with this fight."

"Why not? You let me help with the Source." She pointed out.

"Because there was no other option. I'm not putting you in danger again by taking you down to the Underworld, especially not to face someone who can anticipate your every move." Ella argued.

Aria stayed quiet, not wanting to push the issue any further when they had company.

"If you need another witch I'm happy to help." Jessica said. "I mean I've never been up against anything this powerful myself but I can look after myself."

Before Ella had a chance to reply a demon appeared in the room.

Paige was the first to react, orbing a particularly heavy book in his direction. The book hit him on the head but it only distracted him for a second.

"Blow him up!" Phoebe yelled.

Ella waved her hands but nothing happened.

"I can't!" She replied, this time trying to freeze him.

Thankfully the demon froze, along with everyone else in the room who wasn't a witch. The five witches looked around for something that could vanquish him.

"Aria, grab a knife!" Phoebe yelled and Aria did as she was told.

While Aria was in the kitchen the room unfroze and the demon was able to take another step towards them before Ella had a chance to freeze him again. Wyatt, who stood next to Paige, jumped back slightly in surprise. Paige turned around to see that he wasn't frozen like the rest of the room.

She didn't have time to say anything before Aria returned, throwing a knife at the demon and causing it to burst into flames.

"You idiot!" Chris yelled from his position near the door.

"I didn't realise she froze us again." Wyatt shouted back, much to the confusion of the rest of the witches.

"What are you both talking about?" Phoebe asked.

"And why are you still moving?" Paige added. "I thought Ella's power froze Whitelighters."

The two men exchanged a look just as the rest of the room unfroze.

"Did you vanquish him?" Leo asked them but no one replied. They were all too focused on the brothers to even notice that the rest of the room was looking at them all strangely.

Ella was the first to regain her composure.

"Get out." She said, through gritted teeth.

"We can explain." Wyatt started but Chris shook his head.

"I said get out!" She shouted just as the television blew up.

They didn't need telling a third time as they both promptly left the house.

"What just happened?" Spencer asked.

"Wyatt and Chris have been lying to us." Phoebe replied.

"About what?"

"They must be witches." Jessica pointed out. She received a quizzical look from the rest of the room before she went on to explain her statement. "From what you've told me, the only beings that your power doesn't work on are witches and some powerful demons. Demons can't have Whitelighter orbs, they'd be black like a Darklighter."

"So you're saying they're like me?" Paige asked. "Half witch, half Whitelighter."

"It makes sense, I guess." Leo replied.

Ella sighed. "Leo, can you take the girls home please?" She asked. She wasn't in the mood to entertain guests and just needed to talk to her sisters about what had just happened. He nodded and orbed everyone home.

Once they were alone, the three sisters summoned Prue. They'd been speaking to her a lot more recently, and were happy that the Elders seemed to be allowing her frequent visits. This was the first big battle Ella and Phoebe had been up against since they had lost their sister and it was beyond helpful for them to have her input when planning.

To their surprise not one, but two figures appeared before them.

"I get that, mom, but it's not like I can say anything to him." Prue was saying.

"It's been twenty years, sweetie." Patty replied.

"Wait, where are we?" Prue asked as she took in her surroundings until her eyes fell on one of her sisters. "Phoebe?"

"Ah, girls. Perfect. Prue needs your advice."

"On what?" Paige asked.

"On whether or not she should go and talk to Andy. He's been asking your Grams about her."

Phoebe cut in. "Prue you and Andy have been friends since you were kids. Give him a chance. What have you got to lose?" She joked.

"Hey, if I wasn't dead I'd…"

"Girls." Patty scolded them before they could get into an argument. She had hoped they'd have grown out of their rivalry by now. "Now what did you call us down for?" She asked.

"Do you remember us telling you about the two new Whitelighters for the girls, Chris and Wyatt?" Ella started and Prue nodded. Patty looked like she knew what they were talking about as well so the sisters could only assume hat Prue had filled her in. "Well we think they are half witch."

"And half Whitelighter. Like me." Paige added.

"Why do you think that?"

"Because I couldn't freeze them."

"Your power works on Whitelighters but not on good witches." Patty said as clarification of the point her daughter was making. Having shared the same power, she knew how it worked just as well as Ella did.

"Exactly."

"May I emphasise the fact that I said good witches. If they were evil they'd freeze."

"Do you think we can trust them?" Phoebe asked. "You say they must be good but they still didn't tell us what they were."

"I think you should invite them here and talk to them properly. They probably had their reasons." Prue suggested.

The three sisters sighed reluctantly. Maybe they had been too quick to kick them out?

Ella went to grab her cell phone, only to find a message from 'A' there when she turned it on.

Getting close, I see. Want a hint? You know what to do. – A

Attached was another image of Aria with Ezra. This time it appeared to have been taken through the window of Ezra's apartment. Was no place private any more? She would have to have a word with Aria about being more careful. She was taking a lot of risks by seeing Ezra and Ella wasn't sure that her daughter was prepared for the consequences.

Pulling her mind away from these thoughts, she called Wyatt and asked him and his brother to come over to talk. Wyatt agreed and within seconds both him and Chris had orbed in to the attic.

"Look M… Ella, we can explain." Chris said, cursing himself for almost slipping up.

"About how you're half witch?" Paige cut in.

The two men looked shocked that they'd figured it out but they did know not to underestimate the Charmed ones. After all, they'd grown up around this and hadn't been able to get away with anything once the three witches got together.

"I think we should leave them to it, Prue, don't you?" Patty said calmly.

Their attention was suddenly drawn to the two ghosts in the room.

"I'm going to stay." Prue decided. "If things get out of hand we'll call Grams down."

Chris and Wyatt exchanged a look. From what they'd heard about their great grandmother she was someone to be feared if ever you got on her bad side.

"Any time you want to start explaining is fine by us." Phoebe told them in her 'don't mess with me' voice that she'd go on to use on her own children in the future.

"You're right that we are part witch as well as Whitelighter." Wyatt started and he looked at Chris who nodded his approval. "But there's something else we haven't told you."

"We're from the future." Chris finished.

"What?" Ella asked in shock.

"This battle you're facing now ends with serious consequences and we've come back in time to try and stop them from happening." Chris explained.

"What consequences?" Paige asked.

When neither man rushed to answer the question, Prue stepped in. "They can't tell you. It could mess up the future that they came from."

"But isn't that what they are trying to change?" Phoebe asked. "If they warn us about what's going to happen we can do all we can to stop it."

"It's not always that simple." Prue pointed out. "We've been to the past. You know you have to be careful about what you say and do."

"I know." Phoebe conceded.

"I still don't understand why you didn't tell us who you were straight away." Ella asked.

"We were hoping to get by without telling you anything." Wyatt admitted. "There's a chance we've already messed up some things in our future by letting you find out."

"Do we know you in the future?" Paige wondered.

Both boys nodded but didn't respond when Paige went on to ask how they knew each other.

"How far into the future do we meet?"

"We can't tell you that either." Chris said.

"What can you tell us?" Prue asked.

"Nothing." Wyatt said firmly, crossing his arms.

"Do the Elders know who you are?"

"We haven't told them. They might be able to guess at some things though."

"How many Whitelighter-witch relationships can there really be? I mean they gave Leo and me a hard enough time. How come your parents got a free pass?" Ella asked.

"They didn't. They had to put up with a lot from the Elders to even get married." Chris replied honestly, trying not to give too much away.

"Ha! They should hear what the Elders put us through." Ella scoffed. "Speaking of my ex-husband, where did Leo get to? It can't have taken that long to drop the girls back home. Leo!" She called out and he orbed in to the attic next to her.

"What?" He asked. "What are they doing here?"

"We decided to talk it out. Apparently they are from the future to help stop whatever big bad comes next from causing a load of problems." Ella summarised.

Unbeknownst to the rest of the group, Wyatt and Chris shared a look, silently communicating that they should make their excuses to leave. For their plan to work Ella and Leo still needed to get together and they hoped that by leaving they would be given a chance to talk things out.

"We should head out. I'll see you at work tomorrow Ella." Wyatt said and he and Chris orbed out before they could say a word in protest.

"I'd better go as well." Prue said. "Blessed be." She added before she, too, disappeared.

To Phoebe and Paige the next step seemed obvious and they were both convinced that everyone was trying to do the same thing by getting Ella and Leo alone together. Phoebe made up and excuse about work and Paige was adamant that she couldn't miss the next episode of America's Next Top Model. They left the two of them alone in the attic, slightly confused about what had made everyone leave so quickly.

"Was it something I said?" Leo joked to break the ice.

Suddenly it dawned on Ella what had happened. "I think this is my family's not so subtle way of telling us we need to talk about us.

"Are you ready for that?" Leo asked.

"Veronica talked me through the divorce process a couple of days ago and set things in motion. I guess we can't put this off much longer."
