Season 2, Episode 12: The Two Faced

Previously On 'California Friends'; Nikki and John finally break up after weeks of becoming the un-social couple, which makes for a horrible timing due to Nikki's recent firing. And Melina finally shares the information she holds... with Layla, the two former enemies now share a private story, but can Melina trust Layla. Or will Layla throw Melina under the bus, whose side is Layla really on, Melina's or Aj's? And things for Brie are only getting more and more dangerous, even receiving an anonymous card with a picture of the infamous Scream Mask.

Nikki scrolls down as she takes a sip from her warm coffee, looking through pictures of places for her to live in, imagining what this whole new chapter holds for her.
"What you doing?" John asks from the kitchen as he get's a bowl of cereal ready.
"Just looking for a new place, I'm thinking about getting a condo, nothing big, but nothing too run-down," Nikki says as she takes another sip of her warm coffee.
John puts the cereal box down and walks over to Nikki, "You know you don't have to move out, I'm totally fine with you living here, it'll give the house a more fuller effect, it sucks having this place lonely," John says standing behind Nikki, overlooking to the pictures of the condos on the screen.
Nikki pauses her scrolling, she turns around, "John I can not stay here, I get that you want to be generous, but we've broken up, it's too awkward for us to live together," Nikki says to John.
"It won't be awkward, I mean it's not awkward right now, friends living together is never awkward," John says winking at Nikki as he bumps her arm with his elbow.
Nikki laughs, "Fine then, I'll stay, but I'll eventually move out," Nikki says, with the laughter fading out.
"Be back, I have to tinkle," John says as he walks towards the hallway.
Nikki watches him walk away, she turns around and quietly takes out a bottle of alcohol from her desktop cabinet. She turns around to look out for John, she turns back around and puts the alcohol bottle in her purse.
Nikki walks away to the second upstairs bathroom, where she locks the door and begins to open the alcohol bottle.
"Damn it," Nikki whispers as she drinks from the alcohol bottle, she closes for a second and looks in the mirror, before opening it again.
She sits down and reflects about what she's been recently going through, her firing and her breakup, she can't keep herself together with all of this being thrown her way, she only has one person to tell all of this to, herself.
Vince runs his hands up and down Aj's back as they make out, "Aj I need to tell you something," Layla says, waiting for them to lay off the PDA.
Vince let's go of her and Aj hugs him one last time, "Okay I'll see you later, anyways what'd you want to tell me Layla," Aj says pointing her attention to Layla.
"What was it, what was it... Oh yeah Melina knows everything, she even has the picture of you and Vince making out in his office," Layla says dropping the whole bomb on Aj, betraying Melina's trust.
Aj steps back, "WHAT, how does she know," Aj says trying to keep herself from freaking out.
Layla shrugs, "I don't know, she came up to me to tell me if I knew anything about you guys and I said no, but then I lied and said that I did know something, well that's when she dropped her little secrets, she even showed me the picture, but then I lied to her again and said that I actually didn't know anything about you guys, that I was just kidding you know, so that's when she started to tremble in fear," Layla says crossing her arms as she flips her hair back.
Aj stays quite, she puts her hand on her mouth and leaves it their, "Layla I am dead If she tells anybody, I am dead if Stephanie or anybody related to Vince finds out, I'm dead if anybody at all knows, you're the only one who I'm actually open with," Aj says walking back and forth across the room, panicking.
"Aj calm down, I have it all figured out, I'm going to pretend to be Melina's friend, but I'll actually just be manipulating her and using her, so that none of this goes public and so that I can prevent her from taking it public," Layla says.
"Okay you do that, I trust you... anyways ugh, this all too much for me, but it'll all be worth it... when I win the Diva's Champion, i'll see that it was all worth the while," Aj says looking straight ahead, where she can practically see herself holding the title.
Layla shakes her head, "How long are you planning on staying with Vince," Layla says, curious to get more details on Aj's plans.
"As long as i'm here, i'll remain with him, that way I'll always be at the top of this whole roster," Aj says taking a seat.
Layla rolls her eyes, she watches Aj and secretly laughs at Aj's poorly thought out plan, little does Aj know that her plan isn't actually a clever one.
Minutes later Layla meets up with Melina, "I can't believe she's buying it, she actually thinks I'm still her friend," Layla says giggling.
"Well you are in Drama class after all, I'm pretty sure I also wouldn't even be able to tell if you were pretending to be my friend," Melina says laughing, little does she know that her statement has some truth in it.
Layla sarcastically flips her hair, "I'm pretty great ain't I, I mean can easily play somebody without them even knowing it," Layla says.
Melina shakes her head, "As long as it's not me, I'm fine," Melina says laughing.
Layla laughs along, "No, never, I would never do that to you, trust me," Layla says with her hand on Melina's shoulder.
Melina smiles at her, "I know, anyways what was it that you wanted to tell me," Melina says to Layla.
"Oh right, the picture, I was wondering if you could send it to me, I wanted it because I really wanted to closely observe it, if you don't mind," Layla says, hoping Melina agrees.
Melina takes a second to think about it, "Sure, you know what, I'll send you the picture," Melina says taking her phone out so that she could send the picture.
Layla jumps up, "Thank you so much," Layla says looking down at her phone, where she can now see that the picture finally belongs to her, the scandalous picture that reveals Vince's and Aj's affair. Layla now holds the picture and the horrible impact it may have on people.
Brie carelessly walks to her car while on her phone, until she suddenly sees a shadow on the floor, the shadow is of a man, who's walking her way.
Brie ignores it but she notices that the shadow is getting closer and closer to her, she slightly turns her head around, only to see her worst nightmare, the same guy in the same Scream mask, this is the first she's seen him in person ever since the party.
Brie completely turns around to finally meet face to face with the mysterious man for the first time, "Look I don't know who are you, but I will call the cops if you come anywhere near me," Brie yells to the mysterious man as she steps back away from him, quickly running away afterwards.
The mysterious man in the Scream mask laughs, he yells out strange unusual sounds, which scare Brie even more.
A rush of fear goes through Brie's mind, she finally get's to the door and begins to shuffle through her keys, panicking only to finally find the right key.
"AHHH, Don't you dare take one more step," Brie yells in a rush, opening the door fast to finally get herself in her car.
She quickly locks the door and she starts the car, she lies back to catch her breath and then she looks through the mirror, to see if he's still behind her car, but he's not, it's like he vanished.
Brie lays back and is relieved to see he finally left, only to be quickly scared afterwards, Brie jumps up hitting her head on the roof of her car, she yells at the un-pleasant surprise she's seeing at her right window, the mysterious man is now standing in front of her right window.
A flash suddenly hits the side of her eye and her eyes go weird, Brie begins to panic while she yells for help through her car.
"Ahhh, I CAN'T SEE, WHAT THE HELL, HELP," Brie yells in her car, while she throws her hands around her eyes.
Brie is lucky enough to finally get her vision back, she looks to her side again and he's still there, the stalker guy is feet away from her, with only one glass window between them.
The man laughs and knocks on the window with his hand, Brie yells and quickly pulls into reverse, at that point not caring who she runs over.
Brie drives off, faster than ever, looking back to see if he's at all still their and he is, Brie spots him waving at her sarcastically while he laughs.
"Oh my god, what just happened, I am going to die," Brie cries out with fear, she puts her seat-belt on and drives out of the parking lot onto the street.
She speeds away, positive she'll put an end to all of this.
