Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters. They all belong to Castle and ABC studios.

A/N1: I would like to apologize in advance for any mistakes that you may come across as I am only human and am not a super computer.

Let me start by saying that I know it has been a long time since I've updated this story but I've slowly lost my muse for finishing this story. As of lately I've been focused on other stories as this stayed on the back burner. I will finish it though. I at least owe you guys a few more chapters. So in all honesty after this chapter I see myself writing maybe 2-3 more chapters and then the story will be finished. I would like to thank everyone who has been with me since day one of the story and my apologies for it having to end like this. Anyways I hope everyone likes this chapter.

As the elevator door opened Javier began making his way over to Kev's desk. The closer he got he could feel those piercing blue eyes feel on him.

"Hey I just got a tip from my informant about the perp. You want to come with me?" Javier asked.

"Do you even have to ask?" Kevin said as he grabbed his coat.

"Where are you two lovebirds going?" Castle asked taking a sip of his coffee.

"I got a lead on the perp. We're gonna go check it out." Javier said turning around as he was walking.

As they got into the car and left the precinct the ride was oddly quiet. I guess after being around someone for so long you can be in a comfortable silence. Javier occasionally glanced over at Kevin as he just stared out the window. He could always tell when something was wrong with his boyfriend.

"What's wrong?" Javier asked.

"Nothing." Kevin answered.

Javier could tell he was lying but he just dismissed and they would talk about it later.

Kevin continued to stare out the window. Admittedly nothing was wrong but his mind was scattered about. He was thinking about their future. Kids, house, bills, etc. When they pulled up to the light something caught his eye.

"Javi look!" Kev said pointing out the window.

Glancing over in the direction Kevin was pointing he saw a older couple. What surprised him more was that it was a gay couple. Its so rare to see something like that nowadays. They were sitting at a table eating. They couldn't have been no older than maybe thier mid 60's. They looked happy and proud to be together. Just by looking at them he knew exactly what was going through Kevin's mind.

"One day that's gonna be us." Javier said.

"You think so?" Kevin asked.

Javier was a little surprised at the uncertainty that underlies in his lover's voice. If you were to ask someone they would've said that Javier was the skeptical one not Kevin. He had this gut feeling that maybe Kevin felt as if they weren't gonna last. He didn't want Kevin to feel like that. He wants him to be sure that he knows that they will be together.

"Yeah babe. I know so." Javier said pulling Kevin's face in for a kiss.

Without the realization that they were holding up traffic he turned the corner and put the car in park. He knew that they needed to be looking into that perp but his relationship was more important to you.

"You know I love you. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me." Javier said grabbing Kevin's hand.

"I love you too." Kevin said.

I'm not satisfied with this chapter. One because it's a filler chapter and two because it seems too predicatable so I will definitely shake things up in the next chapter. You never know. Shaking things up might be the motivation I need to make the story longer.

All reviews good or bad are welcome..

Until next time...
