Chapter 12

I woke up with a arm draped around my waist. My first instinct was to scream but then I remembered that I was in Adrian's room. But I don't remember what had happened after I stepped inside. I carefully removed his arm from around My waist and lifted the covers to see if I still had on my clothes. I had on a unrecognizable jersey. I hope I didn't sleep with him. God, how could I have been so fucking stupid.

I shamefully stood and looked for my clothes. When I didn't find them I shrugged and walked out of his room. I hoped no one was here. But was I ever lucky? Dimitri was coming back from the kitchen with what smelled like coffee and I bumped right into him. Some of it spilled on his white wife beater.

"Whoops, sorry. "

" Excellent choice in attire Rose" I ignored him and started walking to my room. But he wasn't letting me go that easy.

" Did you have fun with Adrian"

" More fun than I've had with you" I said without turning around.

Later that day Adrain caught up with me after breakfast as I was going down the hall to get dressed. We were going up to the mountains to ski. Something we haven't done in a while.

" Hey little Hathaway, I came to give you these" I blushed as he handed me a bag full of my clothes.

"Look Adrain I— I really don't remember what happened last night but whatever happened isn't me. I don't usually throw myself at people. I don't mean to give you—" he put his finger on my lip to shush me.

"Rose, we didn't sleep together... Sexually. You came in and sat in my bed. Then you started going on and on about how guys are jerks. Then we drank together and you spilled vodka all over your outfit. I gave you my jersey and went to put your clothes in the washer. When I came back you was passed out on my bed... Trust me–". He stepped closer to me and grabbed my chin. "If we were to do anything. You would remember every second of it." Then he leaned in and kissed me. It wasn't earth stopping or mind spinning like Dimitri's. But it was second place. He pushed me against the wall and my hands instantly moved to his hair.

Suddenly someone cleared their throat and like ice cold water was poured on me I pushed Adrian off. Kim was standing in the middle of the hall grinning like a Cheshire cat with a dusty white fitted shirt, ripped jeans, and sneakers.

"I was told to ask if you wanted cocoa to warm you up but it seems that you two have already.. Sparked a fire." With that she turned and walked down the stairs. Adrain winked at me and followed Kim down the stairs. If something didn't happen last night, I'd be damned.

Me and Mason was at the top of the slopes ready to begin skiing. But not before placing a good ole bet. Gambling was my thing and winning was my game. What could I say, I was a hathaway.

" Mase, if I beat you down the slopes you give me half of your allowance and loan me old Betty for three months." Old Betty was his 2013 silver benz. He got first pick in my daddy's garage since he was the oldest. I wanted her so bad. He thought about it and nodded.

'Fine, but if I win I want triple of your allowance and your bedroom." I had the second biggest room at my daddy's estate. My mother thought that since I was the only girl I should always have the second biggest room. And for the past seventeen years I have had it. We shook hands and counted to one.

"3...2...1" and we took off. I always went with Mason because he wasn't afraid to challenge me. When we skid down the slopes we hit flips and pushed each other in front of obstacles but thanks to my work outs and training sessions I was closet to the end of the mountain. I turned to look back at him when Suddenly Mason hit a triple backflip off of a random piece of wood but he was too close to the ground and he hurt his leg. I quickly stopped and turned around to see if he was alright. The others ran up the hill where Mason was screaming in agony. I couldn't help him because my wrist was still killing me. Lissa came up behind me and asked if she should help. We didn't know much about this bond thing. We only knew that she had healed me and brought me back to life.

I shrugged and she got on her knees and grabbed Masons arm. She closed her eyes and concentrated. Suddenly I felt a rush of coolness run through my body. It was the magic. Mason suddenly stopped screaming and let go of his ankle. Lissa looked weak and drained. I tried to help her up without putting pressure on my arm but failed badly.

"Rose, are you hurt?"

"I'll be fine Lissa, just a sore wrist." Suddenly she reached out a touched my wrist. I felt the coolness again and the swelling and redness of my wrist faded back to normal.

"Thanks Liss, I think you need to lie down." She nodded and I told Christian to help her into the house. Then I turned back to Mason.

"You okay ?"He nodded

"It still hurts but I'll live". I helped him up and tried to help him down the hill and into the cabin but he protested and limped his way inside. Once inside Adrian cut on the indoor jacuzzi.

"Alright right palers. You guys look cold as fuck. So how about you heat up in this awesome ass jacuzzi". We all agreed and went to grab our swimsuits. I had told them about bringing one before we arrived. Ten minutes later Adrain was fixing shots, the music was up to the max and everyone was having fun. Lissa sported a light blue monokini with white stripes. It looked vintage but still very stylish. Jill and Kim both wore black bikinis but Kim's had a red skirt to go on top. I wore a violet halter swim top with a matching bikini bottom and black shorts over it. I noticed that one person wasn't down here having fun.

I walked out of the jacuzzi room and grabbed a towel to cover my body. Then I went inside and looked around for Dimitri. He was in the cabins library laying on the carpet head first into a tattered old western book. He looked so peaceful.

"Why aren't you down stairs having fun?"

"Drinking and wearing close to nothing in the middle of winter isn't really adult like Rose". I chuckled and sat Indian style beside him.

"Nothing us teenagers do is exactly adult like Dimitri. The whole point of you being here is to act like a teenager. Otherwise you'll look suspicious. Maybe you should consider joining the fun". I stood and my towel slipped off. Dimitri looked up and stared at me. I slowly bent over and grabbed my towel before wrapping it around my waist.

"It seems as if my training has been doing you some good Rose." He said giving me a half smile.

"We're you checking me out Comrade. Tsk Tsk . Let's not get out of hand." I turned to walk away then stopped and turned around. "Come join the fun. We might be horny sex craved alcoholic teenagers but we do know how to party." Then I walked away. I went back a grabbed a chocolate looking thing from Adrian.

"That was my drink ". Adrain said smiling

"Call me that again and it won't be the only thing I take from you"

"Well you can't take my breath away. You already have it."

"That was super corny" I said smiling. I drank all of the chocolate drink and asked for another

"There's more alcohol in there than a whole bottle of vodka "

"Really, I didn't even taste it"

"It's a secret recipe"

Then I felt it. Like someone was staring at me. I turned and was met with big brown orbs. Dimitri was staring at me. Then I took a good look at him. I never really noticed how physically fit he was but seeing him in black swimming trunks that ran low on his hips made me really look. He had a very chiseled chest, not a single hair. He looked good enough to .. Drink?

"Damn Dimitri, where did all of that come from ". Tasha said. She was right. Why had he been hiding such a perfect body? Kim walked to me and whispered "you lighting up and I detect a little pink here and there"

I looked at her with a questioning look. "Follow me" she said.

She walked into the house and I slowly followed her. Her big doe eyes looked lighter when she stared at me. Well. It wasn't at me. She seemed to be looking at me but around me from her peripheral vision.

"What is is Kimmy J?" She rolled her eyes at her new nickname

"Well, when I first met you your aura was attached to Dimitri's, but it was white which meant you two weren't physically connected. Which means you guys haven't .. Done it. Then when you two walked out of the closet together your auras glowed but it wasn't gold like the after sex glow. Then after the incident your aura went completely black and the strange thing was... So did his. That is until I saw him the next morning. It was lighter and held a few speckles of red. Red means love. But it disappeared just as fast as it came. Your was identical except it never got lighter.

"It had a thin gold shade around it and a few red speckles when I asked you how your night went. But today, when dimitri walked into the jacuzzi room his aura was completely yellow.. Which means he was happy until he saw you laughing and talking to Adrian. Then it suddenly turned black and green... I also noticed when I saw you kissing Adrian your aura had pink in it. Which means you like him. He likes you too Rose but... You love Dimitri. You can deny it but auras don't lie Rose. You and Dimitri's auras are connected but Adrain likes you a lot. "

I sat on a nearby chair and soaked it in. She hasn't told me if dimitri liked me. She only said that his aura went red but quickly faded.

"How does Lissa's aura look?"

"It's bright. Always has been, even after the accident. But it's slowly developing a dark hue. Depression. Every time Lissa heals something her aura gets darker, she gets more and more depressed."

I nodded and after a few more questions we walked back into the jacuzzi room. Immediately Adrian threw his arms around my body and threw me into the deep Jacuzzi. I quickly surfaced and Adrain jumped in after me. He pulled me into the water and dragged me to the bottom. Then he pulled me to him and kissed me. I quickly kissed him back and swam back to the top. if he liked me I would give him a chance. Adrain surfaced seconds later and splashed water into my face. I laughed and hopped out of the water. I emptied the cooler of all beers and picked it up.

Then I poured it over Adrain's head. That caused a full blown water fight. I ran Into the next room where my fathers pool was. I don't know why we had it since we only came up here doing the winter. Then someone came up behind me and pushed me into the pool and I realized why. It was heated. I surfaced and saw adrian with a crazy look in his eyes. I quickly swam to the other side of the pool and grabbed the life raft then I threw it over a still swimming Adrain and pulled him to me. the others soon joined us and jumped in. Even Dimitri. We spent four hours in the pool and by the time we got out it was freezing.

Adrain helped me out of the pool and wrapped a towel around my shoulders. I leaned into him as we walked out of the pool room. I was tired and if I had to admit– a bit drunk. Okay a lot drunk. I almost tripped over every stupid item that got in my way. By the time I was at my door Adrain was practically carrying me. He sat me on the ground and I opened my door then turned around.

"Today was good Adrain. Consider it our first date."

"Well, shouldn't we kiss, since it was the first date and I won't be seeing you for like... Eight hours"

"Make it twelve. Have you forgotten who I was?" He pulled me to him a brushed his lips against mines.

"Trust me Rose, you are very hard to forget". I brushed my nose against his and leaned in to kiss him. Then I grabbed his pants and quickly flipped him over so I could take them off. My move was sloppy but well rewarded.

"Come and get him ladies" I screamed down the hall.

He stood up and placed his hands on my door pane unshamefully. "Aren't you going to look down Rose?" I shook my head and blushed.

"It's okay, your not ready for the hulk" . I laughed so hard I almost feel over laughing until Adrian caught me. I looked into his eyes and my breath hitched. They were so gorgeous . When I first met him I noticed that they were emerald. But now that I was this close I saw that around the edges they we're hazel and around the pupil was a golden hue. They looked so intense from his position that I almost forgot that he was naked. Until his little John started pressing against my thigh. Then I pulled away from him .

"Bye Adrain" I said shutting the door but before I could his fingers stopped it and he rushed inside grabbing my waist and pushing my body towards the door successfully closing it. This kiss was so intense that I couldn't breath. I pushed him away to catch my breath but he quickly found his way back to my lips. Before things could go to far I broke the kiss.

"Wow" he said and snatched his trunks away from my hands. I smiled and peeled myself off of the door and opened it. Adrain finished putting on his trunks and walked out. He turned and blew me a kiss.

"Sweet dreams little Hathaway"

"Sweet dreams Adrian"

"Only if they are about you". Then he turned and walked down the hall. I smiled and shut the door. Two guys. I liked two guys. One who was seven years older than me and emotionally unavailable . The other was three years older than me and drowned his pain in alcohol then smoked it away. I sure knew how to pick them now didn't I? I sighed and changed out of my swim suit not bothering on putting on anything. I passed out before I hit the pillow.
