Chapter 12

Extra moves?

I woke up to the sound of someone knocking well more like banging on my door. I slowly got up and walked to the door. When I opened it I came face first into a brick wall. Or rather Dimitri's chest. I looked up at him with sleepy eyes. My head was killing me and even rubbing my temples felt painful.

"Don't you think it's a little too early to be banging on someone's door?"

He didnt speak to me. He just stared at my bed. Then I realized that I went to bed completely naked and didn't really bother to put on any clothes. Stupid stupid stupid.

"No one is in here but me dimitri". Then I opened the door and allowed him in but he didn't budge. "Do you want to just stand there and have everyone think that you just left my room after a all night slumber party or all night night cap?" He quickly walked in and shut the door but stared straight ahead. I shook my head. My head was killing me so I wasn't even going to comment on his strange behavior that was no longer becoming strange to me. I laid back in my bed and pulled the covers up to my neck. When I was sure my entire body except my head was covered he walked over and sat on the edge.

"I brought you something" dimitri said. Suddenly I realized that he was carrying a back pack. He sat in on my bed and unzipped it. Then he pulled out a bottle of Advil, a bottle of water, a heat pack, and a apple. I turned my nose up at the red fruit. "I'm letting you know right now that I'm not eating that." I said pointing at the taunting fruit.

"Why not?" Dimitri chuckled.

"Because, the last time I ate one it had a big ass worm inside of it and sorry Dimitri but I'm not up for bug spaghetti today." He gave me a half smile and picked up the perfect red fruit. Then after close scrutinizing he grabbed my hand and a electric shock went though me and zapped me in the heart. I looked to see it Dimitri felt it to but he didn't look as if he did. He put the apple in my hand.

"You will eat it and you will like it. Then your going to get up, shower, and put on layers because we're going outside for a jog." I looked up at him as if he just told me we would be killing ducks and roasting them by the sweet fire.

"You do realize that it's negative three hundred degrees below freezing out there".

"Didn't seem to bother you when you were out there in two tiny pieces of cloth with ishvankov now did it?" I gave him the finger and snatched up the bottle of Advil shaking out two pills and downing it dry before opening the heated water bottle and downing that too. Then I slowly bit into the apple and remembered why I loved them so much. That really hit the spot plus there were no worms. I polished off the apple, Then I threw the covers off and grabbed my new grey and pink thermal pants and shirt set then some random un matching underwear and quickly hopped into the steaming shower where I showered, lathered, rinsed, and repeated. When I hopped out an hour later I blow dried my hair and put on my clothes then grabbed a hair tie and put my hair into a quick middle ponytail.

When I walked back into my room Dimitri was laid back on my bed with his left arm over his eyes. I cleared my throat and he slowly removed his arms and nodded then I walked over to my closet and pulled out my socks, Nike shoes, hat, gloves, and coat. Once I had everything on I walked out with Dimitri high on my trail. Everyone else seemed to be sleep. But my luck was never good. Kim was up talking to Adrian in the kitchen. They were both leaning over the counter with a mug in between their hands. When he saw me he smiled and walked over to me.

"What are you doing up so early little Hathaway"

"Dimitri is taking me out for a jog"

He threw his arms around my shoulders and buried his face into my hair. After a few seconds he let me go. "Well, you two have fun"

"Not too much fun, right Rose" Kim interjected.

"Hahaha" I said and shot her the bird before walking out of the cabin doors. The cold hit me and a shiver ran up my spine. I looked around for a place to jog but found nothing then Dimitri hopped in the car and started it up. I quickly hopped in and put on my seat belt.

"Did it ever get this cold in siberia" I asked a little while later. We had been driving for a bit now and only the sounds of the wheels crushing over snow filled the car.

"I don't know rosemarie. Did it get that cold up under Adrain's arm?" I gave him a strange look. He was so weird. One second he was nice the next he was cold. One second he was caring the next he didn't care if he hurt my feelings. What was with this guy. His mood swings were giving me whiplash. I ignored his rude comment and decided that talking wasn't working. So I turned on the radio but it was cut back off by Dimitri.

"What is your problem?"

"Your my problem. Someone rejects you and you throw yourself in the next pair of arms that open up. You don't even know ivanskov like that."

"You don't know him like that. He is a nice person who wants me, it's nice to feel liked and wanted every once in a while".

"Your liked and wanted by a lot of people Rose, your just too blind to see that."

"No. I do know that a lot of people care for me and love me—" I looked out the window and sighed "— just not the right people" I whispered. For the rest of the drive we didn't speak. An hour later he pulled up to a open forest. He turned of the ignition and pulled out the key.

"Why are we stopping?"

"We have to run the trail up the mountain."

"Your kidding right, I'm not stepping one foot into the all you can eat human buffet. I'm not looking forward to becoming some bears breakfast."

"Read the sign Rose , it says no bears". I squinted my eyes and saw a sign that read ' no bear trail'

" Not taking any chances Comrade" I shook my head. he sighed and stepped out of the car grabbing his backpack. Then he slammed his car door and went on the other side. He opened my door and reached under my seat. He pulled a cute pink back pack from under it and threw it at me. Then he reached over me, undid my seat belt, and threw me over his shoulder.

"Put me down you hulk off steroids" . He slammed my door shut and put me down then began walking up the trail. I threw my bag over my shoulder and huffed. I can't believe I'm risking my life for Lissa. Never mind, yea I can.

I quickly caught up to him and already i was tired. We began running after a few minutes and even though the sun wasn't out I was sweating like crazy. After twenty minutes of running I stopped and grabbed my knees. Dimitri noticed I wasn't behind him and ran back to where I was.

"Why," pant. "Are," pant. "We still," pant pant. "Running". I said dragging the word. He gave me a small smile and sat on the ground.

" I was waiting for you to stop and when you wouldn't I kept going. I wanted to stop three miles back so we can spar" I quickly hopped up.

" oh fuck yes comrade, let's do this"

" you need to stretch first rose .. Or your going to pull something" Dimitri warned.

"Whatever you say, ten bucks that I wont pull anything" he stood and handed me a bottle of water.

" Rose... This isn't a very good-" but before he could finish my leg swung out to try to kick him but he caught it and twisted it. I feel to the ground but jumped up and tried to punch him. He continuously blocked my sloppy punches. Finally I saw an opening and tried to round house kick him but something in my leg pulled and instead I fell it the ground. I screamed and cradled my left thigh. Dimitri was at my side immediately and carefully removed my hands from my thigh. Then put pressure on it with his thumb. I groaned and he stood and walk over to his bag. I quickly stood without putting pressure on my thigh and tried to jump on his back but at the speed of light he turns around and pins me to the ground. I look up at his eyes and suddenly the world wasn't the world. It was only brown pools of chocolate staring down at me. Twisting my heart, opening it up, and putting everything dimitri in there. At that moment my universe revolved around him. At that moment I knew Kim was a little more than correct. I loved him. I loved Dimitri Belikov. No one else could make me feel like this. Not even Lissa. To break the silence I had to come up with something quirky.

" Got any other moves you wanna show me?" A small smile graced his lips before he stood up and wiped off his pants.

" Roza—" he grabbed his bag off the ground and helped me up before turning to walk away. " I have moves so mind blowing, so nob gobbling, so... Sensual. You'll be somewhere traumatized, sucking on your thumb, begging me for mercy" and with that he walked away.
