A/N: Set just before the end of chapter 64. Enjoy!
What a mess it had all turned out to be. That fight was nothing short of a nightmare. They were back on the ship, all of them. Gareki sat on the edge of Yogi's bed and stared at the young white haired boy sitting on the floor reading his book in his Nyanperona pyjamas. Nai was lucky; he hadn't been there to see Yogi turn. Though he did encounter Silver Yogi aboard the ship, it hadn't amounted to much. As much as Gareki didn't like to admit it, seeing Yogi like that made him feel strange; it made him feel scared. Yogi was the happy-go-lucky, positive, sparkly idiot that always looked on the bright side of life. As much as Yogi irritated Gareki, he hated to see Yogi in that state where he was basically a different person who didn't care about hurting others. What if he had hurt Nai? What if Jiki hadn't been in time when Silver Yogi came aboard the ship after the fight and threw Nai around? Gareki shook his head. What did it matter? Everything was over. He glanced back over his shoulder to see the golden haired man asleep; breathing slowly in and out. He hadn't woken up since Silver Yogi took the syringe of medicine off of Gareki while he and Tsukumo were chasing him and injected himself. He had fallen unconscious and Hirato and Akari had brought Yogi to his room. Nai had also insisted that he and Gareki stay in his room and watch over him; though Gareki could think of a million other ways to spend his time more productively. As long as Yogi's hair didn't revert back to silver though, he didn't really mind staying in the room with Nai.
"It WouLd HAve beeN bEtTer if YoU hAd diEd tOo! It WouLd HAve beeN bEtTer if YoU hAd diEd tOo!"
Yogi didn't know where he was. He could hear this screeching sound all around chanting the same line over and over: "It WouLd HAve beeN bEtTer if YoU hAd diEd tOo!"
It would have been better? If I had died? When? When would it have been better? The voice started chanting something else.
"Do yOu REallY ThiNk anYonE reaLLy CAres abOuT yOU?"
Stop it! Yogi grabbed his head and shook it closing his eyes.
"YouR WhOLe fAmilY dIEd AnD yET yoU maNAGed to SurVive? WhY Is ThAt? WhY WeRe yOU sO SpeCial?
My whole family? Though Yogi didn't want to hear this voice chiding him, he noticed that this voice seemed to know more about his past than he did. He opened his tightly shut eyes and looked around. There was nobody there. He did notice however that he was in a familiar place. This place is…..
"RiMHakKa". . .the voice told him though he could still not pinpoint the origin of it. It seemed to have changed though. It sounded like a child.
Rimhakka. He knew the name but could not place it. He had been here before on this mountain. There were flowers surrounding him; ones that he had seen before. Miumanai flowers; that's what they were called. That's where she had gotten her name from too. Hmm? Where who had gotten her name from?
"Onii-chan?" He swung around to see a girl there. He didn't recognize her though there was a reason. While she had long golden locks very similar to his and very formal and decorative clothes, she did not have a face. This startled Yogi and he stumbled backwards, falling over. The faceless child drew closer to him.
"Onii-chan. Shall we play hide and seek. M** has gotten very good at it! You'll never be able to find me!" the girl giggled and began to skip away.
Yogi didn't hear the girl's name when she had said it. Though she had frightened him in the beginning, he wanted to know more about this girl and why she was calling him onii-chan. He sprinted after the girl but she seemed to getting further away as he kept running until she was no longer in sight though he could hear her giggling. However, the giggling suddenly changed into a blood curdling scream.
"ONII-CHAN! HELP ME!"
There were cherry blossom petals dancing around him. No. They weren't petals. Petals wouldn't be this shade of red. Yogi halted and stretched out his arm. The "petals" landed on his outstretched hand. The warm liquid came down like rain when he began to realise what it was. Yogi looked up and reached out for the small girl who he could not see anymore. "M-"
Yogi's surroundings suddenly changed until he stood in front of a crouched figure. He knew this curled up man. His silver locks were moving and he looked like he was in pain. He could see that this man had blood on the tips of his fingers. He felt a wave of pity wash over him and he spoke.
"It feels painful when you hurt someone right?" Yogi smiled and the other man looked up.
"I'll go and apologise to them" Yogi grinned as the other man stayed in his foetal position with a scowl on his face. Yogi began to walk away when he suddenly felt a great weight upon him. He couldn't breathe. He couldn't breathe. He couldn't-
Yogi's eyelids fluttered open and he still felt the great weight upon him as he sat up. What was that dream about? It was weird. Yogi wasn't pondering on it for long before he looked down to see the cause of his suffocation. Nai and Gareki were sleeping peacefully on top of him. He was in his bedroom surrounded by Nyanperona memorabilia. (though a teddy beside him had a note saying stupid nyanperona; no doubt Gareki's doing) It was also filled with sweet wrappers, books and a gaming console that hadn't been there last time he had checked! Last he remembered, they were fighting Varuga in that town. He asked the sheep who stated that he had been wounded and brought back to the ship. Gareki began to stir.
"Oh Gareki-kun, are you aw-" Yogi immediately got a foot to the face.
Yogi grabbed his nose where Gareki's foot had come into contact. Gareki had an extreme sleeping style! Though Yogi's nose was now throbbing, he felt a sense of relief that he was in the safety of his home with both Nai and Gareki. He was home and his dream forgotten.
"AH! Gareki-kun! You're stepping on Nai-chan!"
