Chapter 6

Sigyn leaned up against the wall, not wanting to return to the room she had once been with the rest of the Avengers just yet. She needed time alone with her thoughts.

Maybe falling to earth had been for a reason. To start her life fresh. To give her self a second chance; a chance away from Asgard and Loki..maybe this was where she was supposed to be. In this realm. Perhaps falling in love with Loki had been a mistake..

He has changed so much. Into someone she does not know. The signs were all there..perhaps their time together has run its course.

This saddened her deeply.

Never had she been so conflicted with her feelings. It was the love she still felt for the past Loki that kept her tied to this chaotic man..

But it wasn't just the history she had with him, not truly.

She quickly swallowed down the intrusive feelings that she could never admit out loud..

That this new Loki, so much darker than he had ever been, was infectious.

Something about how he is now drew her to him with an irresistible want. She had never felt such things as this. Such lust for someone. All of her thoughts before had been pure, she had loved him...but it was different now.

She immediately shook the thoughts from her mind.

He is a horrible man, Sigyn..You do not want him so.

Telling herself this made it almost believable.

Sigyn heard a door open and decided she did not want to run into Natasha for a second time and hesitantly made her way through the double doors.

Of course there were people everywhere in front of computer screens but what caught her eye was that all of them glowed red..

Sigyn quickly spotted furry walking away hastily and immediately decided to follow him.

Of course she knew he had to have known she was behind him a few feet away but he simply did not seem to care. He had other more important matters on his mind.

They both entered a white room where Tony and Banner stood next to Loki's scepter, the computer in front of them revealing that it was he who had hacked the system.

Sigyn bit her bottom lip nervously..no doubt Tony and Bruce has found out everything.

Soon Steve entered the room, interrupting the conversation by slamming down a weapon.

Sigyn walked away from the doors entrance and slowly began scooting toward the back of the room, trying to not draw any attention to herself. This wasn't going to go so well.. Not with the information every one had now found out. Even Sigyn was put off by just how massive the lies were that SHIELD had told.

Moments later Thor and Natasha entered the room where it did not get any better from there on out. Sigyn began fiddling with her fingers as they began to all argue amongst each other, feeling oddly out of place.

She was beginning to wish Loki was there so she could have someone to argue with as well until the scepter caught her attention.

It was somewhat sparking but no one else seemed to notice. They were all too busy in their arguments to pay attention to anything else.

Her curiosity had gotten the better of her and she slowly began to walk toward it with the thought of wanting it in her possession on her pure mind until Banner suddenly blocked her way to it. She tilted her head to the side in confused, had he noticed it too? But she soon realized it was just his anger drawing him closer to it and she immediately took a step back..

There was a heated discussion from Steve and Tony and harsh words were said but she couldn't stay focused on them.

Soon all eyes went to Banner and Sigyn could tell he was getting angrier by the minute. She knew his anger was mostly toward himself for how he was and this made her feel for him..

Non the less her breath caught in her throat when he had grabbed the scepter and held it in his hands.

immediately everyone had silenced themselves, the room completely tense. Furry and Natasha's hands hovering over their guns, waiting.

"Doctor Banner. Put down the scepter." Steve had ordered gently.

After a few moments something went off in the room and he had put the scepter down with a comment Sigyn did not quite hear, she let out a breath, too over whelmed with what could have happened in those moments.

Banner came over a few feet from Sigyn and she stepped away, not knowing if she could trust him. She thought she saw a bit of hurt in his eyes noticing her do so but it quickly disappeared as he got to the back of the rooms computer.

She kept her eyes on him, not out of fear but because his expression was unsettling..

He looked up at everyone. "Oh my god.."

All Sigyn heard was a loud boom and she was abruptly flown backwards, her back slamming up against the white cabinets and landing hard on the white tiled floor. The window she had stood near moments before was now shattered.

She slowly lifted her torso up and winced with pain. There were shards of glass in her arms along with a few small ones on the side of her face. She had landed right in on top of the glass.

She let out whimpers as she slowly sat up all the way realizing there was a thick shard in her torso.

She was shaking as Thor came around the corner running toward her looking a little banged up himself.

"Wait!" Sigyn had her hand raised up to Thor to stop him from picking her up. She needed to get the shard out of her body first.

She grabbed onto it with both hands slowly, then with a deep breath she quickly pulled it out as blood seeped onto her Asgardian green dress.

Sigyn tossed the shard aside and looked up at Thor with watery eyes. He abruptly grabbed her under her arms like a child, easily lifting her up off the ground and onto her feet. She felt blood trickle down her face and arms as well.

Sigyn was trembling with fear but kept her eyes trained on Thor's.

"You are hurt, you must heal." Thor stated holding her clean cheek in one huge hand. She was trying to look brave.

Before she could say anything Sigyn had jumped from the loud roar of what could only be Banner. He had changed.

Sigyn swallowed, looking up at Thor with wide, scared eyes.

"Sigyn you must go. I know not where Banner will be but I must stop him. Get to somewhere safe, heal and stay out of harms way." He ordered her roughly.

Sigyn nodded nervously and ran toward the door. She looked back once but Thor was already gone.

She soon came back to the room of the many computers, people scrambled around frantically.

Agent Hill quickly spotted Sigyn and grabbed her arm bringing her toward the stairwell.

"Stay down!" She ordered and Sigyn, without hesitation, quickly slid down to her knees, pressing up against the side of the railing's walls.

There was gun shots and soon Furry was along side Maria Hill as well. Sigyn took a few deep breaths. She needed to heal herself but first she had to get the glass out.

She painfully pulled out the ones on her cheek then immediately worked on her arms. The floor was dripping with her blood but she ignored it and began to heal herself. Gun shots erupted once more, a bullet ricocheted off the railing right near her head then hitting a man in the arm across from her. He fell back screaming, grasping his arm dramatically.

Sigyn felt completely helpless but there was nothing she could do. She could not stop everyone from shooting each other. But perhaps she could stop things from getting worse. She quickly realized that all systems were down and Loki was now free to escape his cell.

She had to make sure he stayed there.

As soon as the shooting had died down just for a moment Sigyn burst out from her hiding spot. Her breathing was heavy in her chest and her stomach still hurt a little after recently being healed. She was frightened but she kept running anyways. Loki was probably already out of his cell!

She ran down many hallways until she made it to the room he was held in. She had stopped so fast she nearly fell on her side. Her green flats where slippery on the polished floors.

She ran in the room to see a man at the operating system as the cell's door slowly slid to the side not yet wide enough for Loki to walk through.

Their eyes met only for a moment, she could see the concern on his face from the bloody state she was in, before the man noticed her appearance and immediately pointed his gun at her.

She stood there frozen for only an instant. It all happened so fast..

Before the man could shoot her, Loki made a quick hand movement and the gun was aimed upward and fired right at the man, shooting himself in the head.

Sigyn stared as he dropped down dead.

Loki stepped out of the glass cage coolly and made his way over to Sigyn.

All she could do was look at him incredulously with teary eyes.

"You killed him..." she said breathlessly in pure shock.

Loki narrowed his eyes, tilting his head just a little in confusement .

"I suppose you're welcome."

immediately another man stepped in the room but this one did not dare point his gun toward Sigyn.

Instead he just stood watch over the door like the other one probably would have down after letting Loki out.

Loki stepped closer to Sigyn looking her up and down with pursed lips. Her dress was shredded in her torso area where is was dark with blood.

He touched her blood stained cheeks to find no cuts.

A piece of his raven hair fell out of place as his hand slowly examined Sigyn's torso over the bloodied area.

Sigyn felt a burning stir in her chest at his intimate touch and caring way he had now. What happened to the fight they had just had? It seemed to disappear under the weight of his touch.

As their vision met, Loki's eyes tore into hers.

"You weren't supposed to be here.." His voice was dark.

Sigyn held his burning gaze.

She swallowed. "Neither were you."

He narrowed his eyes thoughtfully and looked elsewhere.

"I'm asking you one last time to stop this. Stop everything..Or I will have no choice but to help the Avengers stop you." She continued when he did not answer her. He needed to know whose side she was on.

Loki held the same expression only for a moment before breaking into a half-hearted chuckle, his smile wide as he looked down at Sigyn.

"You'd help them stop me?" He asked with raised eyebrows, his smile did not falter but his eye were cold.

She could see her words had hurt him to some extent.

Sigyn swallowed, trying to stay collected. She closed her eyes, sadly realizing Loki's answer.

"So be it." She forced her expression to become harder and took a step back from him.

Loki took a step closer to her.

She tilted her head in confused.

His eyes were more soft...more sedating.

She immediately crossed her arms, trying not to break under his stare.

His hand found her thigh and he slowly traveled up the side of her curvy body, stopping at her blood stained cheek.

She felt shivers down her entire body as he leaned down, their faces just inches away from each other.

Loki tilted his head to the side and licked his lips. Sigyn found herself staring at them and ripped her vision away back up to his mischievous green eyes.

"How exactly do you plan on stopping me, Dear?" He whispered darkly and before she knew it his lips were on hers. Kissing her roughly.

He pressed his body up against hers as she felt his arms around her back tighten in a secure hold.

She suddenly didn't feel right..

immediately, Sigyn pulled away from him. He smiled darkly at her.

She was furious with herself, how could she let him trick her so easily!

She suddenly couldn't move her body and would have fallen if Loki were not holding her up against him. She was barely conscious as he lifted her up bridal style then placed her against a wall.

What felt like a moment later, she opened her eyes to see a blurry Thor in the cage Loki had been in. He was yelling furiously and banging his hammer on the glass.

A moment of blackness once again as she kept slipping in and out of unconsciousness. There were images of blurry fire then Loki standing over her.
