Three years after the incident at the Shurima desert and the death of Kassadin, Sona had been living at the Buvelle estate with a third family member. Though she was saddened by her loss, Kassadin's final gift had been enough for her.

"Mommy, look at what I found at the garden!" a child's voice exclaimed.

Sona had been gazing outside the window and turned around at the voice of her daughter, Mika. The child held a flower in her tiny hand and proudly showed it to her mother.

"That's a pretty flower Mika. Where did you find it? Can you show me?" replied Sona.

The child nodded enthusiastically and grabbed her mother's hand, leading her downstairs and into the garden. There, Lestara was having her afternoon tea when she noticed her daughter and her granddaughter waltzing out.

"Oh! You showed your mother the flower! Did she find it pretty?" Lestara asked the girl.

"Yes! I'm going to show her where I found it!" the child said. Afterwards, she then led Sona to a part of the garden where a whole bunch of the flowers were growing. "See how pretty they all are?"

Sona smiled at her daughter's enthusiasm. "Do you want to see really pretty flowers? I know a store in the plaza who sells these beautiful flowers," Sona says.

Mika nodded her head excitedly. "I love you Mika, give Mommy a hug?" Sona said, apparently having thought of Kassadin again. The child was all too eager to give her mother one.

Lestara, watching in the distance, took a sip of her tea and thought, "Kassadin would have been a good father and husband. A pity that things had to turn out this way."

At that moment, Sebastian had entered the veranda and reported to Lestara.

"Mistress Lestara… A guest has arrived. He says he wants to see Mistress Sona and Miss Mika," he said.

"Huh? Who might that be?"

The stranger then stepped out into the veranda as well. "It's been a while, Lestara."

Lestara, upon seeing the mysterious stranger, stood up in both amazement and surprise. She then regained her composure and broke out into a smile. "I told you before, no need to let Sebastian inform me of your arrival. But yes, it's been awhile. No doubt she's missed you so."

Turning to Sona and Mika in the garden, Lestara called out to Sona.

"Sona, dear! Someone's here to see you and Mika!" she shouted.

Upon being called by her mother, Sona turned to her direction and her attention was immediately averted to a familiar tall, muscularly-built man beside her. But perhaps the most distinct and most recognizable of this man's features was his bluish-violet skin. Her emotions were awash and in a state of chaos, seemingly not knowing what to feel about seeing him again. Though she had always wished that he would come back, the reality always hit her in the end. But now, here he is, standing and alive.

She stared in disbelief but it was broken when Mika finally asked, "Mommy, who is that? He looks scary. Do you know him?"

Sona only chuckled at Mika's first impression of the man and knelt down beside her.

"Do you want to meet the 'scary' man? But let me tell you one thing; he's not as scary as he looks," Sona said to Mika.

Mika was hesitant at first but hearing it from her mother, she grew curious. "Okay!" Mika exclaimed, such was the enthusiasm of youth.

Sona took Mika's hand and walked towards the veranda. It's been three years but meeting him now made her nervous. She shook from the inside and finally, tears began welling up in her eyes. Upon reaching the veranda, Sona made first contact.

"It's been a while, my love," she said, before cracking a smile, the brightest Lestara had seen in the last three years.

The man had replied in kind, "It's so nice to see you Sona. I missed you." Then, the man knelt down in front of Mika and took off his helm and mask.

"Hello there cutie, would you mind telling me your name?" the man asked.

Mika was hesitant at first from the question of the stranger as well as his appearance but Sona assured her it was alright, "Its fine Mika. Go on, tell the man your name."

"I'm Mika mister," said Mika nervously. "But who are you?"

The man chuckled to himself and took a glimpse at Sona, with a big smile on his face.

"Well Mika, you'd find this hard to believe but…" the man stopped short. "Mika, I'm your father."
