Chapter 25 Goodbye

Ni had been running for what seems like years, but in reality he has only been running for only a hour or two. "What is happening to me?" Ni was getting even more angry at himself the world and most of all Scar. "I will make him pay for making me dessert my family, I swear it by all the Kings."

Ni felt his skin boil as anger filled his soul, "I have a responsibility to my family, I will find a place for us to live without the threat of Scar or any other lion that will do harm to my family."

Ni stopped and looked back to the Pridelands one last time, "Goodbye for now."

Back with Sarafina…

Sarafina took Chumvi to the nursery where they found a small cub with dark caramel fur and auburn eyes, "Go say hi." Sarafina encouraged Chumvi.

Chumvi nodded and padded up next to Kula who was facing away from him. "Hello, who are you?" Chumvi asked with a small smile on his face.

Kula's face was stoic, "I am Kula, who are you?"

"Chumvi." He answered.

"You're new here aren't you?"

"Yeah, I came here from the Crater Pride."

"Why are you here?"

Chumvi's smile magnified, "I am here for you."

Kula started to smile, "Wanna play tag?"

Chumvi tackled her and he took off out of the nursery, "Tag you're it!"

Sarafina watched as the two cubs sprinted around outside of the nursery, "That worked well." She thought.

"Well they hit it off." Maini said as she came up beside Sarafina.

"So how did it go with Mufasa?"

"It went well."

"Well I will be the first one to welcome you to the Pridelands."

"Thank you, Sarafina. I can watch them so you can go join your cub."

Sarafina left the nursery and headed back to her cave. "I hope Simba and Nala get along as well as Chumvi and Nala." Sarafina walked slowly back to her cave enjoying the sun and the soft grass rubbing against her fur.

"Where is Ni?" Sarafina asked as she came into her cave. The cave still had Ni's scent in the air, but he was no where to be seen. "Ni? Honey where are you?" Sarafina heard Nala mew from the back chamber of the cave, she rounded the corner to the back of the cave to see Nala and Simba curled up at Scar's side. Sarafina's skin began to crawl, "What are you doing here?" she asked Scar.

"Ni asked me to watch the cubs."

"Thank you, but do you know where he is."

"No, I have no idea he just called me over. Then asked me to watch them and he walked off." Then Scar took his leave.

Back with Kasema and Stelle…

"Where did Ni go?" Kasema asked to no one in particular.

"I think he was heading to the Outlands." Stelle said.

"Stelle, can you get Zazu?"

"Yeah why?"

"My water has broke!" She shouted cheerfully.

"Zazu!"

Back with Uzuri…

"Miss Uzuri come with me to Rafiki's tree." Zazu ordered.

"Why?"

"Kasema's water broke, so can we stop wasting time please?"

Uzuri tore off through the savanna, she felt the ground between her paws scorching. Her body was hotter than lava and her lungs burned as though she was huffing smoke. Uzuri felt her hip pop and burn, causing her to flinch but she kept running to help out her friend.

"Agh!" Kasey screamed from the canopy, everyone in the proximity of her scream knew that she was in trouble.

Uzuri jumped into the canopy in a single bound, what Uzuri saw was like a shot to the chest. "Oh no…"

Kasema was being constrained by Stelle, there was blood all over the ground it looked as though some crocodiles had just had dinner. "Stop struggling!"

Kasey was rolling and kick everyone in her vicinity, "I can't!"

Kasey kicked Rafiki right between his eyes sending him crashing into some of his gordes and paints. He got up and shook off the hit, "Z hold her legs so Rafiki can give her some medicine." Rafiki shouted.

Uzuri pounced on her hind legs and pinned her to the ground. Rafiki dodged some flailing limbs and forced Stelle to drink a molasses like medicine. Kasey's struggling gradually calmed down so Rafiki could do what was needed.

He had Stelle turn Kasey's limp form. "Dis is not good."

Kasey managed to slur, "What?"

"Your cubs have der umbilical cord wrapped around der necks." Rafiki said as he worked with Kasema's body.

"How can we help?" Uzuri asked.

"Hold her down tight."

Uzuri pressed down with all of her strength and Stelle did so too. Then Kasema jolted and screamed in pain. "What the hell did you just do?"

Rafiki had a small cub in his hands that he quickly put down on the ground, "Delivered da first one."

Rafiki repeated the process and he freed another small cub with a small tuft of fur on its head. Uzuri and Stelle freed Kasema from their grip. "Let me see them." Kasema said.

Rafiki picked up the twins and set them next to Kasema, "You have one boy and one girl."

Kasema nuzzled her cubs and she heard them squeak. "Shhh… Come here Tojo." She said to the smallest one. "Now… Tojo you are the oldest you need to protect your sister." She looked to the other cub with a fur tuft, "Hello… My little Tama, you look just like your grandma, be a good girl." Kasema licked both of their heads and her head fell to the ground, "Goodbye."

Uzuri scooped up the cubs and moved them out of the way as Rafiki and Stelle worked tirelessly trying to resuscitate Kasema's body. "NO! Don't go… Please god NO!" Stelle was crying and shouting loud enough to shake branches in the canopy. "I love you…"

Uzuri wrapped her paws around Stelle and pulled her away from Kasema's corpse. "Stelle please stop, she's gone."

Stelle snapped and she slammed her paw into Uzuri's stomach, "Don't say that."

Uzuri collapsed on the ground and Stelle fled into the night wailing in pain.

Back in Scar's Cave…

Pride Rock was a flame, hyena's cackling in the background. A large lion with a crimson mane and black holes where his eyes should be, was snarling and circling Scar. "Mufasa what are you doing?!"

"Wrong! You will pay for your sins!" The male snarled as his mane went up in flames.

The male pinned Scar to the ground, Scar felt his skin searing underneath the males massive bulk. "Who are you?!" Scar squealed in pain.

"My misguided Uncle." With that Scar knew who he was and with that Simba brought his blazing paw down smashing Scar face.

"Mercy!" Scar shouted and with that Simba brought a single white hot claw across his throat and Scar could feel himself choking on his own blood.

Scar woke up to the stench of blood and smoke. "What happened?" Scar began to tremble as his stomach started to turn. Scar stood up and walked out of the cave, "Uzuri!"

AN: This was a goodbye to Kasema, and she was the mother to both Tama and Tojo. Now all we have left to introduce is Malka and I have a plan for him. Let me know how you liked the chapter I worked really hard on this and it is now 5 am. So please let me know what you think and leave a review.
