Zion's Adventure part 2
Zion asked for a cake. Little Old Sid was over-joyed to have a customer. Little Sid told Zion all about how his wife had died in a strange cake decorating accident and he had been lonely ever since. Zion ate the cake and decided to go back every day, for more stories.
And that's exactly what he did Little Sid taught Zion to back delicious cakes. ''The secret of a good cake is to tell them all stories,'' said Sid.
One afternoon Zion went into the shop but Little Old Sid was not there! There was a note. It said ''I have to go away forever. That life. But the shop is now yours. Thank you for being my friend.''
Zion felt his heart burning with tears, his feelings burning with pain .To cheer himself up he made a cake and told it the story of Little Old Sid. The smell from the cake spread across the village.
Zion was amazed when a man came in and bought a cake! Then another customer came in. And another. When each customer ate their cake they started to smile for the first time in years. There was soon a queue all the way down the street, people smiling and chatting.
At the end of the day, Zion looked up from his baking to see Anjali He gave her a little biscuit the shape of a heart. She smiled her beautiful smile and Zion felt happiness like a butterfly in his heart. Especially when, on her way out, she started to sing to herself. BY BLAKE OFFICER
