First of all thank you soo much for the reviews, I'm loving them, secondly Keep them coming, the more reviews the quicker the chapters, although I'm trying to write more than 2 chapters as I update, now hence why this chapter is a bit longer and why it usually takes 2 days to update instead of week, let's hope I don't fall into that one again

Kurt had told his dad a couple of days after the break up about what happened when Burt noticed he wasn't eating again and they had a long conversation about you matter and not letting someone walk all over you; and then Burt had told him to be patient, "I still don't understand dad, we were as close as Harry and Sally and now he isn't talking," Kurt was fiddling with his plantlets wondering why bother if no one was going to be interested in him enough to maintain a long relationship.

He had not been prepared to have the sex talk and was still scarred by it as he waited for his dad to change topic and answer his anxiousness.

"Well first of I have no idea who Harry and Sally is, secondly maybe all he needs is a little distance, don't lose faith Kurt, if it's meant to be it's meant to be, he was a good kid, I understand why you're upset, but you gotta know that you'll find the one even if it's not Blaine, you think your mom couldn't get any guy she wanted? She was stunning Kurt and look who she ended up with," Burt chuckled in his own victory as Kurt smiled. "I'm glad she chose you dad,"

Burt put an arm around his son. "I'm glad too son, I love you kiddo"

Kurt hugged his father. "I love you too dad,"

"Want some toast?" Kurt laughed; trust Burt to be thinking about food even in a sappy moment. "I'll take it up to my room thanks,"

"I don't want to face anyone yet, but I also don't want to miss out on work, do you think I could stay home a couple of days? Everyone's asking too many questions and I can't yet...it's too humiliating" Burt approved as he responded "Alright. I'll let you have a couple of days, but I want you to catch up on unfinished homework which I know you still have," Kurt agreed and took his toast to do just that to keep his mind focused.

After a couple of days were up, he went back to school still feeling down but focusing on his education.

Kurt is something wrong with Blaine? – Mimi (1st week from the day of the break up)

Kurt sent a reply I don't know to be honest – Kurt

We know you two are sort of not talking to each other, he indicated that when we asked where you were and he sort of cut the class early but we're really worried about him

Kurt frowned at the text when Mimi replied with I'm sorry I honestly don't know what's up we haven't talked in…a while, it's not in my place to say

Alright; we're just worried, he wasn't himself when he was at Zumba tonight, take care as well, we missed you tonight– Mimi

Thanks you too - Kurt

(2nd week)

Boo, is there anything you're not telling me? You've been really quiet and I'm worried. You know you can trust me right, I'm not like Rachel – Mercedes

Mercedes didn't tell Kurt Blaine also looked miserable, they could tell from the false dilemma Blaine put up with in Zumba and he had told them suddenly that he wanted to do the classes again the week before which was a bit odd also Kurt never mentioned Blaine and if this continued she would have to knock them both on the head.

I'll explain at school as much as I can – Kurt

Rachel was getting along with him and Mercedes, ever since she did a duet with him on happy days are here again/get happy when she noticed him being thrown in the dumpster he was surprised when she got Puckerman to help him out of it

Okay, want to have a sleepover tomorrow then? – Mercedes

Sure – Kurt

He told Mercedes what happened finally up to the hospital part with his mom and the break up and revisiting the memories made Kurt feel incredibly stupid for saying he loved Blaine so early on but then he remembered the way he felt when Blaine called him gorgeous in the Lima Bean, or the way he helped clean his face without looking disgusted, he remembered the smile that reached Blaine's eyes after they first kissed, he remembered the way Blaine made him feel like he was special, how he cared about him because of his weight issue.

"Why didn't you tell me this before?"

"I …I just didn't want to have that on top of the fact that I felt so stupid for falling for him, I wanted to get over him, clearly I'm nothing to him if he hasn't bothered to even reply to my texts"

"I think there's more to the story he's not telling you, I think you shouldn't give up on him," Mercedes defended.

Kurt threw the pizza he had not eaten yet back in the box as his legs were spread out on her bed, he fell back towards the pillow.

"I still care about him. I haven't given up on Blaine, he's giving up on me. The thing is though Mercedes I can't stop thinking about him and I just want to sometimes, it hurts,"

"Do you want me to ask him why he ended it?" Mercedes offered but Kurt shook his head.

"If he doesn't want to talk to me, then vise versa,"

(3rd week)

Kurt had still not heard anything from Blaine. His mind was focused on his dad's wedding, which apparently he had been seeing Finn's mum while he had been focusing on making costumes for Glee with the girls He was however thankful for their distraction on Sectionals which had finally arrived. Sam the new kid and Quinn were doing a duet which he was helping Sam also find a suitable t-shirt; Sectionals also meant he was halfway to NYADA, with the next one being Nationals and then he wouldn't have to think about Blaine or the bullies or trying to lose weight in Zumba for Sue Sylvester ever again.

Kurt figured Blaine must have forgot as well so he texted him.

Blaine, the girls from Zumba want to know if it's still on – Kurt

He waited for 10 minutes and still got no reply, just like all his text's so he told his dad he was going to check up on him.

Just because they weren't boyfriends didn't mean he didn't care and worry about his friend, and he wanted Blaine to at least be that with him again.

"You sure?" Burt asked as Kurt nodded. He had gotten another 10 messages from the time it took to get his coat and his car keys which Burt had surprised him with when he had gotten home from the hospital the day Blaine broke up with him; Kurt had pretended to be enthusiastic about it, wanting the distraction and named it his baby but when he went back to school Burt found out from Rachel who started coming over and once blurted out from overhearing it from Mercedes.

The girls were still asking if he was okay, and if it was still on or he quit all together, clearly something was wrong.

Kurt with now a licence which he also got a month ago and had never had the chance to use it, drove his baby to the hospital because he didn't know where he lived and he hoped Cooper was there or Blaine was visiting his mother.

He hesitated when going inside and the same guy from before saw him, greeting him with a smile.
"Hey!"

Kurt walked up to him and smiled politely "Hey, thanks for your help before,"

"No problem, anything I can help with?" The guy asked. Kurt was looking at his name tag trying to work out why it said Dr Apples and he looked down to where Kurt was looking and laughed.

"My name's Adam," Adam offered as he took out a hand and Kurt shook it.

"Adam apples?" Kurt questioned and Adam grinned.

"No that's the name of the band I run, well it's called "The Adam Apples, they thought it'd be hilarious if they called me that while I did volunteer here, they said it's a little joke for the patients,

"Oh! Wait… kind of like a glee club, is that what The Adam Apples is I mean right?" Kurt suggested as he nodded. "Exactly, well it's my own since no teachers were willing to do a glee club at my school. I'm hoping the band gets me into NYADA," Adam shrugged.

Kurt's eyes widened. "That's where I want to go"

"You sing?" Adam smiled looking pleasantly surprised.

"Yeah, but I mostly just do back up for my glee club at McKinley,"

"No kidding, I'll see you at Sectionals then I hope," Adam was beaming and Kurt almost forgot why he was there until he noticed Cooper going to buy coffee from the Cafeteria not far from where they were standing. Kurt excused himself quickly promising he would visit some time.

He looked exhausted.

"Cooper!" Kurt called and he almost dropped the coffee in alarm but relaxed when seeing Kurt.

"Hey,"

"Is Blaine here?" He

Cooper hesitated and Kurt looked frustrated "I'm not going to beg him to take me back, not after he treated me like that. I just want to make sure he's alright,"

"Isn't that a big clingy?" Cooper asked and Kurt frowned not wanting to be rude so he wouldn't get any answers at all.

"Listen, the girls from Zumba are texting me to ask where he is, I just want to help them out,"

Yeah he was worried as well but he didn't say so as Cooper would probably hesitate again.

"Zumba?" Cooper looked incredibly lost. Kurt wanted to pull his hair and scream at him; just tell me where he, you're lucky I don't smack you across the face for being so rude but he took a deep breathe

"Is he okay or not?" Kurt asked impatient and Cooper snapped out of the trance and nodded "Not really, he's at his house, I told him to stay home a couple of days, he isn't doing too well,"

"What happened?" Kurt still couldn't understand the situation on why Blaine thought it was best but that didn't mean he didn't still care about Blaine.

Cooper sighed. "Mother won't like this, but he lives on 33 Maryland Rd, think you know how to get there? Or do you want a lift?"

Kurt thought for a moment "No I can manage" "For the record, I think you were good for him,"

Cooper said reaching out to put his arm on Kurt's shoulder when he went to turn away.

"I never meant for you two to break up, it's …he's really suffering,"

"I don't understand why he did it," Kurt admitted.

"He wants to be mom's angel,"

Kurt looked confused.

"Ever since dad left, he um was quite attached to her, it didn't seem like she had an issue with people who are gay and he wanted to do anything he could to stand out, I'm afraid I took a lot of the spotlight, for being the straight son,"

Kurt nodded trying to wrap his mind around the thought, it did make sense why he did everything for his mother and why he didn't want his mother to die.

"Let's put it this way, if she told him to jump of a cliff, he would do it,"

Cooper sighed.

Kurt looked alarmed.

"Don't give up on him, I have to go see mom now, or her coffee will get cold. She hates cold coffee. It is a big building with a room containing massive mirrors," Cooper described for him and Kurt nodded.

"Yeah, I know it,"

He thanked Cooper before rushing back out waving goodbye to Adam who saw him leave repeating Cooper's words in his head. If she told him to jump of a cliff he would do it

Just how much did their mother actually love Blaine? Did she care about her son at all and his happiness?

He got back in his car and saw the class standing on the footpath outside of the building. Clearly they were trying to be patient with the waiting, but some of them looked like they were going to go.

Kurt arrived at the scene with the class dancing to I wanna dance with somebody (who loves me) freely, Blaine wasn't with them and after hugging him and talking to him excitedly about what he's been up to Mimi and Joanne let him know that they had been there since 7, it was now 7:30 and Blaine had still not come out, the class were all thinking of leaving but Blaine had sent them a text two days to ensure it was on they weren't sure what to do.

Besides feeling hurt for hearing that Blaine still used his mobile when he had tried sending him texts, he ignored that feeling and focused on what could be, Blaine could be hurt for all he knew so he tried calling Blaine's name towards the window which was high above them

The girls turned towards him to see what's happening.

Kurt looked up and saw no lights on, none of the many windows above were open so he looked around him, Helen asked what he was doing and he threw the pebble he picked up at one of the glassed windows to the right hand side that was easier for him to aim at.

Nothing.

He picked up another one.

"Are you crazy?" Mercedes called out when seeing what was happening.

He threw another one.

"Blaine!" He yelled.

The girls watched as nothing happened.

"Blaine, please," He called.

"We kind of figured it must be soundproof, after all our music," Mercedes sighed but Kurt was not giving up.

He threw a bigger pebble and finally the door opened.

A bedazzled looking Blaine opened the door, "Kurt?" his eyes widened when seeing the boy with the people in front of him. "Shit," Blaine swore obviously not expecting company and looking like a mess, he had thought it was just Kurt and he heard his voice. He hadn't wanted to get change in fear Kurt would leave so quickly, he done his best with the gel but it didn't stand up as much as he wanted a few escaped much to his charging and he felt ridiculous.

"Blaine?" He asked carefully, and Blaine nodded with a fake smile at him. "Kurt, hi…"

"We can come back another time," Mercedes offered as the girls already agreed to go to her place and practise with her DVD, she explained to Blaine and he nodded "I really apologize, I should have given everyone a notice, something came up,"

"It's okay," Joanne replied softly as Mercedes gave them her address and they all waved goodbye to him and kissing Kurt on the cheek before all that was left standing was Kurt. First of all he slapped Blaine.

Blaine's eyes widened as his hand rubbed his cheek. "I deserved that,"

"You asshole," Kurt stated as Blaine hang his head after showing a look of surprise at Kurt's swear word.

"I wish I could hate you," Kurt added and Blaine's head shot up surprised.

"You don't hate me?"

"No, I just miss you, can we talk?"

"Is that a good idea?" Blaine looked worried

"Yes, because I miss you, and clearly you're not telling me everything,"

Blaine looked at him carefully and sighed "I missed you too,"

"Please, just tell me what's going on, don't shut me out," Kurt put an arm on his and Blaine trembled at the touch.

"Okay,"
