Hey guys I am back with another chapter. This chapter solely focusses on how talented Sakura is (meaning more songs) and though she has decided to stand up to these people but it is difficult for her to stand up against Sasuke. I hope you enjoy this chapter. Good news is that now I am feeling much better. So without further ado. Onwards!

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto. Also, I do not own 'Titanium' by David Guetta featuring Sia and 'She wolf (extended)' by David Guetta featuring Sia. For the sake of the story, these are the works of Sakura Haruno. Also, I have made little changes in the latter song. Please it has been done solely for the story just to make it fit better and I have no claims over it.

Chapter 9: War

It was 9 a.m., when Sakura entered the dining area. The staff members were already present and were setting up breakfast.

"Good Morning, guys!" said Sakura cheerfully.

The staff took one look at her and were dumbstruck. They stopped what they were doing and stared at her, their mouth wide open.

She was looking extremely gorgeous in a red dress that reached her mid-thighs. It was full-sleeved with surplice neckline and slightly flared hemline. She had coupled it with a slim brown belt that accentuated her waist. She wore white espadrille on her feet. Her long beautiful prink tresses fell carelessly behind her back.

"Is something wrong?" she asked worriedly, clearly the reaction of the staff was making her nervous.

"No, nothing" mumbled the staff members and returned to their work.

"You are looking so beautiful, Sakura" exclaimed Sally.

Sakura smiled at her.

"What is with this sudden change, Sakura? I mean you are wearing a dress instead of work clothes. You haven't pinned your badge. This is the first time I have seen you with your hair down. Seriously, what's wrong?" asked Sally.

"It is nothing, actually. I mean there are no regulations against wearing a dress, right? By the way, if these people can behave so unprofessionally, then I don't think I have to wear professional clothes too. Plus what is the use of wearing a badge with my name on it when these people will just call me pinky or pink-haired bitch or green-eyed bitch etc. Anyway, I had come here with the intention of working as well as enjoying myself too and that is what I am going to do that." Sakura answered happily.

"Wow! Who are you and what did you do to Sakura?" replied Sally jokingly.

Sakura just giggled in response. She bade Sally goodbye and went up to check the arrangements being done for breakfast.

The preparations were completed by 10 o' clock and by half past 10 the guests started trickling in. Due to the cold weather, everyone was wrapped up in coats which were soon shed as they reached the dining area, which was centrally heated, to display the skimpy dresses worn underneath.

"Yeah, at least no one can party today. I think this weather is a blessing in disguise." said Sally.

"True" mused Sakura.

The staff members got busy in serving the guests while Sakura supervised everything.

Around 11, Naruto, Kiba and Sasuke entered. As they sat on a table to have food, Kiba called their attention to the lady in red. All they could see were her dress's hemline and her smooth long legs. She was behind a counter and the view of her face was being blocked by a group of people standing in front of the counter.

"Who is the owner of such delicious legs!" exclaimed Kiba.

Sasuke and Naruto tilted their heads to get a better view. The legs were seriously amazing…strong, smooth and long.

"Oh man! Why are these people standing there?! Sasuke tell them to move." said Naruto desperately.

Sasuke looked at the group.

"Hey" he called out.

The group turned their attention towards him. He whistled and waved his hands sideways as a gesture to indicate them to move. The group grumbled at his insolent behaviour but moved aside. As the group cleared the line of sight, they were greeted by a smiling face framed by wavy pink locks. Her dimples deepened as she laughed at something Sally had just mentioned.

"WHOA! What happened to the maid?" marvelled Kiba.

Sasuke just took in the beautiful view. It had been almost 2 days, too long for him, since he had seen her smile. He just kept staring, taking in the vision before him, not noticing the red-haired firework making her way towards the raven haired man.

"Sasuke" Karin purred in her nasal voice. Karin was wearing very short mini skirt coupled with a deep V-necked crop top that was tied just below her breasts.

But Sasuke was too busy staring at Sakura. Karin looked perturbed to see that he didn't even acknowledge her. She looked over to see who had captured his attention. Seeing Sakura her face darkened.

"Sasuke" she purred again and sat on his right leg. She draped her left arm around his neck and turned his head towards her with a long manicured finger. She tilted his head upwards and crashed her lips on his. She suckled and bit his lips playfully, extracting deep groans from the man beneath her. She excelled in the art of seduction and was successful in driving away all the thoughts of the girl in the red dress from his mind.

She pulled away and smacked her lips making Sasuke go hard.

"Shall we have some breakfast, baby?" she asked seductively.

"Well, I just had a great one." he replied flirtatiously, stroking her lips with his thumb, "I think I am more interested in the desserts."

He kissed her fingers and bit them softly, making the girl in his lap throw back her head and laugh.

Her laugh brought Sakura's attention to Sasuke. She felt as if she didn't even recognize him anymore. He was someone she had known her whole life and yet, she felt nothing for the man in front of her. She felt her heart twist when she saw him pulling Karin's face down to his to devour her. She turned her back towards the intimate scene. No matter how much she denied it, she still loved Sasuke. She always did and maybe continue to do so in the future.

She shook her head to drive her unpleasant thoughts away. "No, no matter how much I love him. I will make myself strong and I will find a way to not love him. I will move on. And one day he will be like a black past, a nobody to me."

She straightened her shoulders and turned around to check up on the guests. As she rotated around the tables to make sure that everything was ok, her eyes sought out Sasuke once again. He was sitting with Kiba, Naruto, Shikamaru, Cherry, Cathy and of course, Karin.

There was not one ounce of remorse on his face, as if he didn't care that she lived or died. He was busy laughing at some of the antics being done by Naruto, which even Sakura would have found funny in the past but now it just looked like some weird antics done by an asshole. Well, if Sasuke didn't care then, even she would stop caring.

She was so busy staring at Sasuke that she didn't notice that the three girls had caught her staring at Sasuke. They laughed maliciously as they decided to humiliate her even further.

"Hey pinky" Sakura heard Cathy call out to her, bringing her out of her trance, "Can you come over here?"

Sakura took a deep breath and let it out with a whoosh. She walked professionally towards them, though that didn't stop Kiba from leering at the sight of her legs.

"Yes ma'am, what can I help you with?" she asked Cathy politely.

"Nothing I just wanted to ask you something." Cathy replied coolly

Sakura just looked at her questioningly, waiting for her question.

"So, you work for the Uchihas, right?" she asked giving Sakura a smirk.

"That's correct ma'am" Sakura answered, her voice devoid of any emotion.

Cathy's smirk widened.

"So, you are a maid there, right?" she asked Sakura.

"Ma'am I am responsible for taking care of everything that happens in Uchiha manor." Sakura answered, she couldn't understand where this woman was going with this.

"So, not a maid but the head maid" she replied.

Cathy was openly laughing at her and there was this devilish glint in her eyes. Sakura looked over at Sasuke as to how he was taking this. All he was doing was following the conversation politely. Something snapped inside Sakura, she felt her blood start to boil again.

"So, Sasuke just wants to sit back and watch the drama happen. Fine, if that is what he wants, he will get the best scene of his life."

She just looked impassively at Cathy, waiting for her to continue.

"So, that means that if you work in the Uchiha household, you also work for Sasuke" she asked Sakura, grinning up at her insolently.

Sakura pursed her lips and looked at her.

"That's correct ma'am" Sakura answered emotionlessly.

"So, you do everything Sasuke says, right? You follow his every order?" Cathy asked her and in an undertone said, "Just like a bitch."

Sakura froze and just stared at her. How much could a person fall? How insensitive could they be to people who help them? And why? Just because they do not have the same luxury and power. Just because they didn't earn as much as they did and in this case, their families did. They are still human beings, no matter what the position and even then they treat some people like shit and others like King just because they are richer. She had no idea as to how to handle them as she couldn't even understand them.

"What's wrong, Sakura? Is everything alright?" Cathy asked her in a tone that mocked of sympathy.

"These are just lowlifes with attitude problems and I will deal with them just like one is supposed to deal with such people"

"That is correct, ma'am. I follow every order Master Uchiha gives me and carry out my duties around the Uchiha household. I do all the jobs ranging from highly important to even menial, such as occasionally taking out the…" Sakura paused and looked pointedly at Cathy, "trash".

Cathy just stared at her. Sakura insulted her so subtly that Cathy couldn't even comment on it. She just opened and closed her mouth like a goldfish.

"If you will excuse me, I will get back to the other guests." Sakura said politely and turned and walked away. Leaving Cathy sputtering in her wake.

Karin watched the departing figure keenly.

"You might have won this round, pinky. But you don't know who Karin Chase is and you don't want to mess with her."

Karin gave a last hateful glare at Sakura's back before turning back her attention to the raven-haired man sitting beside her.

The rest of the breakfast followed uneventfully. As it was snowing outside and no party could be carried out on the deck, most of the people had gotten bored and had gone up to their bedrooms to catch up the must needed sleep. DJ Lolly had set up his equipment in the dining area and was playing some soft music while the guests had some breakfast.

Sakura with rest of the staff was busy getting the dining area cleaned for some of the guests who decided to stay. She was unaware of the fact that Karin was getting to strike her down again.

When the dining area was done. Karin got up and made her way towards Sakura.

"Sakura, I heard you singing in the morning." Karin said it out loudly so that everyone could hear her, "You have such an amazing voice."

"Thank you" Sakura replied warily.

"Well, I was hoping if you could sing something for us. Something original. As there is no party and it's getting very boring. So, I want you to sing a song, that's your original composition and is fast, not slow like the one you sang this morning." Karin said mischievously.

"But, ma-" Sakura started.

"No ifs or buts, Sakura" she said to her and she turned around to call out to Sasuke, "Hey Sasuke, please tell Sakura to sing a song like she was singing in the morning. It was so beautiful. Please. Please. Pretty please."

She pouted her lips towards Sasuke, who not wanting to disappoint her looked at Sakura.

"Oh come on, Sakura. It's just a song and you make tons of songs every day. At least you can entertain some guests, with your talent." He told her.

Sakura just stared at him.

"So he had heard the song I was singing this morning?! And he didn't even ask me as to why I was singing it? And insulting my art like that! 'You make tons of songs everyday'. What happened to you Sasuke? Is this woman so important to you that you even forgot how perceptive you used to be about my feelings? You have changed so much."

"Yes sir" she said to him and walked out to get her laptop.

She went up to Lolly.

"Hey Drake, I need to set this up. Some of the guests have requested me to sing." she said to Lolly.

"Hey, listen I know I told you my name but I prefer Lolly over Drake. Call me Lolly! It is swaggy! Anyway I am blabbering over here, so they want you to sing. I mean really?" Lolly asked her, Sakura in turn just nodded, "Oh boy! Well they are in for some treat! Hey you don't mind if I remix your tune a bit, huh?"

"Yeah…. I don't mind" she answered distractedly.

She was concerned with the fact as to what was going to happen next. This one-sided war against her was starting to get to her.

Lolly set up all the equipment and then handed her the mic.

"If it is war they want, I will give them a war. They can't beat me at my own game. I won't let them."

With this determination in mind, she turned on the mic and cleared her throat to get the guests attention.

"Ladies and Gentlemen!" she called out, "On behalf of one of the guests, Ms. Karin Chase, I would like to present my own composition."

The music started playing, slightly remixed with the beats added to it by DJ Lolly.

(Please do listen to this song.)

You shout it out,
But I can't hear a word you say
I'm talking loud not saying much
I'm criticized but all your bullets ricochet
You shoot me down, but I get up

She looked pointedly at all the guests and then, the three girls who were hell bent on making her life miserable.

I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose
Fire away, fire away
Ricochet, you take your aim
Fire away, fire away
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium

Lolly remixed her last part so that it looked like that her voice was echoing, adding another dimension to her voice.

Cut me down
But it's you who'll have further to fall
Ghost town and haunted love
Raise your voice, sticks and stones may break my bones
I'm talking loud not saying much

She looked at Sasuke who like everyone else was enchanted by her music but all she felt for him was hate.

I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose
Fire away, fire away
Ricochet, you take your aim
Fire away, fire away
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
I am titanium
I am titanium

Stone-hard, machine gun
Firing at the ones who run
Stone-hard as bulletproof glass

Karin could feel her plan backfiring. Sakura was indeed a talented singer and she had misjudged her competition.

"No worries, Sakura. I have another plan behind my back and I will make you look like a fool I promise."

You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
I am titanium

Her song was greeted with a roar of applause. The applause died after a minute but one person didn't stop clapping and that person was none other than Ms. Chase.

"That was amazing, Sakura. You are seriously very talented. But how about you sing a song that is impromptu." Sakura looked at her clearly confused but felt a twinge of fear when Karin's lip curled in a very malicious manner, "I mean we all want to see how talented you are. Even Sasuke keeps on saying that you are very talented but the real test of talent is when you can make a song right at that very moment, hmmm?"

She could see devilish laughter in the eyes of Karin and Sakura's mouth set in a hard line.

"I am sorry, ma'am but I didn't sleep very well last night. So, if you will excuse me, I cannot make a song at the drop of the hat when my mind isn't fresh." Sakura replied.

"Oh come on Sakura" Karin cat walked her way towards Sasuke and looped her hand around his arm, "Come on, Sasuke please tell her to sing I want to see. I mean Lolly can give the music and she can sing. It so simple." She finished with slight rubbing of her breasts against his arm.

Sasuke looked at her and then Sakura.

"Lolly play a tune and Sakura you make up a song." He said quietly.

"Sasuke but-" Sakura started.

"That is an order!" he growled out.

Sakura was taken aback by this behaviour of Sasuke. Sasuke had never ordered her and he was doing it now for a girl he met two days ago. Sakura had mixed emotions going through her anger, despair, and sadness. All the respect that she had for him was ebbing away. He was taking advantage of being her employer. She decided that it would be the last time she will let Sasuke order her like that.

"It's going to be alright." She heard Lolly speak to her gently.

She looked at him and nodded, giving him a go ahead to play a tune.

"Listen you will hear this sound when it would be your time to sing" he told Sakura, he played a sound and Sakura in turn just nodded.

An electronic tune started to play out and Sakura's mind drew a blank. She felt tired and exhausted by these people's silly antics. But she had accepted this war and she had to do something. She couldn't fall in their trap. She couldn't fail in her own talent.

30 seconds had passed and still no inspiration hit her. She was slightly panicking and looked over at Sasuke one last time. Hoping that maybe he might take pity on her plight. But Sasuke looked as eager as everybody.

Suddenly, the electronic music faded and was replaced with a tune coming from a piano.

"Fifteen seconds till the tune, Sakura" Lolly called out to her.

In that fifteen seconds, memories of all the unfortunate incidents and injustice passed through her mind. She looked over at Karin and Sasuke, the two people who had completely ruined her life and were continuing to do so.

Somehow the lyrics started forming inside her head and she was ready when she heard the tune.

As soon as the first word came out of Sakura's mouth came out, Karin's smirk vanished. She was so shocked that her plan had backfired that she could just stand and stare at her. Sakura was seriously talented and she had seriously undermined her.

(Please do listen to this song.)

A shot in the dark
A past, lost in space
And where do I start
The past, and the chase
You wounded me down
Like a wolf, a predator
I felt like a deer in your lights

She looked over at Sasuke.

You leave me in that frozen time
Hungry for that flesh of mine
But I can't compete with the she wolf, who has brought me to my knees
What do you see in those villain eyes
Cause I'm falling to pieces

"Sakura say that line again." Lolly whispered to her.

I'm falling to pieces

He gestured her to do again 3 times.

I'm falling to pieces
I'm falling to pieces
Falling to pieces

Sakura stood there, frozen, as Lolly's beats played out. Her shoulders slumped as mixed emotions flowed through her. She felt triumphant for achieving this feat but her heart was breaking as Sasuke had not come to her aid.

"Hey, Sakura. Can you please sing the last verse again." She heard Lolly request her.

She nodded dumbly and sang again.

You leave me in that frozen time
Hungry for that flesh of mine
But I can't compete with the she wolf, who has brought me to my knees
What do you see in those villain eyes
Cause I'm falling to pieces
I'm falling to pieces
I'm falling to pieces
I'm falling to pieces
Falling to pieces

The shocked expression on Karin's face brought her strength back. She walked over to Karin and said to her "Don't ever underestimate me."

She gave one last look of pure loathing to Sasuke and Karin and walked away as the song came to an end.

The song was an amazing amalgamation of Sakura's and DJ Lolly's talent. Even after the song ended it felt as if the vibrations were still around, something electric was still in the air.

After almost half an hour, the PA system crackled and the captain announced that they had reached the Caribbean and miraculously, the weather had cleared up.

Sakura was relieved to be away from all of these people but the journey back was still a headache she didn't want to think about.

But somehow she didn't feel scared any more. She was confident. She had realized that she was much better than these people, no matter how much they might want to show that she was beneath them. Their hostility only served as a reminder to her that they found her a threat. There must be something in her that made them feel threatened of her. She had found a silver lining in her bleak, ominous dark cloud.

A great woman once said, "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."

And Sakura had decided to live by this motto.
