Sorry I haven't updated, I've been busy. Actually, I've just been lazy.

The next morning..

FINNICK'S POV..

By the time Percy and Annabeth woke up, I'd been awake for nearly 10 hours. Last night, as I was trying to fall asleep, I'd been thinking of what Percy told me. Before Annabeth woke up yesterday, Percy told me about his friends, Nico and Thalia. He told me that he had to save Katniss and Peeta, all while saving him and friends. He explained to me that his enemy, Luke Castellan, went into this time period to kill Katniss and Peeta.

"Why didn't he become a tribute?" I had asked him, lowering my voice so we don't wake Annabeth.
"He must've suspected that he would be followed, and knowing that the Reaping was broadcasted, wanted to stay unspotted." I could tell from his voice that Percy was exhausted. I had a feeling he had dealt with this "Luke" many times before.

So instead of continuing to try to fall asleep, I thought of ways to get six tributes out of the arena. I hadn't come up with anything.

ANNABETH'S POV.

When I woke up, Finnick was on the couch, looking beyond exhausted. Around him were papers, covering the floor and the coffee table. Words were
messily scribbled onto them, with the occasional arrow pointing to a some sort of picture. The majority of the papers were crumpled up and thrown around, but a few remained untouched.

Picking up one of the untouched papers, I looked at Finnick, "What were you doing last night?"

He smiled sarcastically, "Good morning to you, too. Now give me that." He snatched the paper from my hand, puffing in frustration as he did.

"Well, you're a ray of sunshine today," Percy smiled annoyingly, plopping down next to Finnick.

"Shut up," Finnick grumbled, and then reminded us that we have training today. Training? I'm not sure I want to meet the person who trains teenagers to kill each other.

Finnick rolled his eyes, "You'll be fine, cupcake. Training's pretty easy. If you want, you can become an expert on tying knots."

"It's not the difficulty I'm worried about," I crossed my arms, "and don't call me cupcake."

"Go get dressed, you wouldn't want to be late." As I turned to leave, I heard Finnick mutter "Cupcake" under his breath.

Later the same day..

"..And no fighting with the other tributes, you'll have plenty of time to do that in the arena.." I stand around in a crowd of 12-18 year olds while a trainer explains to us the rules of training. You'd think that since I'm a daughter of Athena, I'd actually pay attention, but what's there to know? No fighting, and the majority of us are going to die.

"When is she going to shut up?" Thalia whispers to me from my left side. I could hear the annoyance in her voice.

"Hopefully soon," I say after a sigh, only half paying attention to what's going on around me.

"What are you going to do first?" Thalia asks me a minute later, after the rest of the tributes have dispersed.

"I'm going to go talk to Katniss and Peeta, want to come?" I look over to where Peeta dangles and falls from a rope. The District One and Two tributes laugh as Katniss kneels next to Peeta and whispers something to him.

"'Kay," she replies, following my gaze.

KATNISS' POV

"Peeta, they're looking at you like you're a piece of meat," I whisper angrily to Peeta as the Careers laugh from behind me, "Go try the weights."

"But Haymitch said-," Peeta began, but stops as a blonde headed, grey eyed girl appears next to me. She was the girl I talked to at the Tribute Parade. Her name is.. Annabeth? Behind her is Thalia, the other girl I met at the parade. The two girls look as if they were hiding something.

Thalia's eyes drift to Careers laughing behind us, and scowls, "Are those idiots bothering you?" Without waiting for a response, Thalia walks up to the D2 female tribute, Glimmer. They talk angrily for a few seconds, before Glimmer punches Thalia in the nose. Thalia curses, and grabs Glimmer by the shoulder, kneeing her in the stomach, "Don't even think about laughing at them again!"

Thalia walks casually back to us, acting as if nothing had just happened.

"Thalia!" Annabeth looks at the girl as if she was crazy. I wouldn't be surprised if Thalia was crazy.

"Yes?"

"You can't do that!"

"Just did."

Annabeth puffs in annoyance and crosses her arms, just as a boy with sea green eyes runs over to us.

He looks at Thalia in approval, "That was awesome!"

Peeta and I glance at each other, and silently agree that these people aren't bad people, even if one of them just kneed a tribute.

Sorry for the crappy chapter, it's early and I'm tired. Review?
