Sorry the wait. Due to family related issues, I was unable to update.

Percy's POV
"Annabeth, get u-," I stop suddenly as I see a passed out Annabeth on the floor of her bedroom with a book still opened next to her. Crouching down next to her, I gently nudge her awake, "Annabeth, we're going to late for training." She stirs a little and groans, but doesn't wake up.
I sigh, picking up the book she was reading and turning it over to look at the title. I was expecting another architecture book, but this one was about the Hunger Games and its history. Notes were messily written on the pages of the book- notes about arenas and cornucopias, tributes and sponsors. She must have stayed up all night writing these notes, because they filled up the majority of the book.
I place the book back on the floor, nudging Annabeth's shoulder again, "It's morning, Annabeth."
She sighs and opens her eyes tiredly, "It's morning already?"
I nod, standing up and holding my hand out to her. She accepts it and pulls herself up with a groan, "I was up all night."
"I know." She doesn't respond, just holds onto my hand as we walk into the kitchen together.
"Excited for your last day of training?" Finnick asks Annabeth as he passes me a cup of coffee.
"Sure am," She replies sarcastically, grabbing my coffee before I have to chance to drink. "Tell me about the Gamemakers and what we're going to be doing in today's training. I can't remember what it was exactly, but something about being judged?
I look at Annabeth, who's slouching in her chair with my cup of coffee in her hands, "Gamemakers?"
She shrugged, "It was in a book I read last night."
Finnick nodded, "Okay. Well, the Gamemakers control the 'Games. They control what happens in the arena, and can alter the arena so tributes meet up with each other and fight. The head Gamemaker is Seneca Crane, so he makes the decisions for what does and doesn't happen in the arena. Today in training, you two, along with the rest of the tributes, are going to be judged by the Gamemakers individually. Seneca Crane will be among the rest of the Gamemakers, so look out for a man with oddly styled facial hair. Annabeth, you will be the eighth tribute to be judged, right after Percy. To get a good score, with 12 being the best score you can get and 1 being the worst, all you have to do is impress and entertain the Gamemakers. To impress them, show them that you are an extremely skilled tribute, and that you have a good chance of survival. To entertain them, show them that you're not like anybody else. Don't just show them that you can swing a sword or shoot an arrow, show them that you excel at whatever skill you're going to show. Don't tell anybody what you're going to show them, because then the tributes will know what to expect from you in the arena. Do you understand what I just told you?"
Annabeth nods and takes a sip from her coffee, "So I'm assuming the Gamemakers aren't our best friends?"
Finnick shakes his head, "Their job isn't to befriend you. Their job is to entertain the Capitol. And to that, they need to make sure the tributes kill each other."
I look down at my hands, "I'm guessing we still haven't thought of a plan to somehow escape the arena while keeping six tributes alive?"
Annabeth turns her head towards me, but doesn't look at me, "We'll manage. Haven't we always, Percy?" When she says the last part, she finally looks up at my face.
The faces of everyone who's died for us throughout the years flash through my mind. I wince as I remember Charlie Beckendorf's smiling face, and suddenly I feel like we have to survive. Not just for ourselves, but for everyone who sacrificed their lives for Annabeth and me. I won't let their deaths be for nothing.
I don't need to look over at Annabeth's face to know she was thinking about the same thing, as she suddenly turns to hug me tightly. "We'll be okay, Seaweed Brain."
That day at training..
Annabeth's POV
Percy and I wait anxiously as the District 3 female is judged. Percy has his arm wrapped around me protectively, and I help but be enormously thankful. Had it not been for him, I don't know what I would be doing right now. Probably pacing around and thinking of all the possible outcomes of today.
"Perseus Jackson, please approach the double doors for judgement," Says a voice over the intercom.
Percy unwraps his around from around and squeezes my hand, "I'll be fine."
"I know you will."
The son of Poseidon stands up and walks through the doors leading into a room full of Gamemakers, and I'm suddenly faced with the realization that I'm going to be judged next. What am I going to show the Gamemakers? Katniss will most likely show them archery, so I can't do that. Peeta will probably lift some weights, but I wasn't going to show them that anyone. I've seen the District 2 female, Clove, throw knives during training, and honestly, she's really good. I'm skilled at throwing knives myself, but I don't think it'd be very clever to show the Gamemakers knife throwing after they most likely saw some from Clove, who went not too long ago.
I think the obvious option is to show the Gamemakers what I've been doing since I was seven years old- sword fighting.
"Annabeth Chase, please approach the double doors for judgement."
I'm going to start writing the next chapter right after I upload this one. Review?
