Brina: Ello! Two chaps in a row! Yah! *hears banging from outside the room* I don't own Hetalia and don't read this if you hate angst and drama. *pulls out shotgun* Just in case.

Chapter 13

*Ash's POV*

I kept on running until I was outside. The snow started to hit me as I ran to a nearby tree. I sank between its roots and I started to cry harder.

'Why did I freak out like that? My body wanted him to continue but then I just ran out,' I pulled my knees closer to myself and started to hug them, 'he probably thinks I hate him.'

The snow started to come down harder and I had to grow more fur to stay warm.

"Child of Snow and Bear, why do you cry so hard?" Someone said to me.

I looked up and saw a man with ice covered hair and he was wearing an ancient Russian general's uniform. He held out his hand but something was telling me not to take it.

"Who are you?" I asked as I wiped away my tears.

"I am someone who can rid your heart of its pain," I took his hand, and he pulled me up, "I am called General Winter."

I remembered my mother telling that General Winter was a spirit that loves to torture those who live in snow. I tried to pull my hand away from him but ice was spreading up from my hand. He grabbed the back of my head and tilted me back.

"I meant what I said; I can get rid of all the pain from your heart."

He leaned down and lightly kissed my lips. I could feel ice spreading from my lips and I blacked out.

*Switching to Vlad's POV*

I felt a sharp pain and then I watched Ash run out of the room with tears running down his face. I put my head in my hands and I attempted to remember what happened. I remembered heavy making out with Ash, smelling my blood, and then I blacked out.

I got up and started to follow his scent. It took me outside to a tree, then it disappeared.

"Where did he go?" I stopped and started to sniff the base of the tree, "What's this?"

I started to smell a strange scent, then I heard a crack. I looked down and I found Ash's broken glasses.

"Why would he leave them here? He needs these to see. Unless he was…. SHIT!"

I pulled out my phone and dialed Norway's number.

"Hello?"

"Norway! This is Bram, I think someone took Ash!"

"Where are you?"

"I'm right outside the front of the school."

I could hear him running while holding the phone, and then he hung up. A few moments later, he came running towards me.

"What did you mean someone took Ash?"

I handed him the glasses.

"I was following Ash's scent and it disappeared right here, there's also a strange scent that I never smelled before."

"What does it smell like?"

"It has that inhuman scent-"

"-Like nation's scent?"

"No, more like your troll or nature spirits, and it has a scent of wintery death."

I saw Norway pale at that.

"I know what took Ash, it was General Winter," he looked so stressed, "We need to find him fast."

I got a fast whiff of Ash's blood and I turned my head south.

"General Winter made a mistake, he made Ash bleed."

I started running and I let my arcane magic loose. It gave me bat wings made out of pure shadows and I flew to a small cave. I landed and ran inside to follow the blood scent. Ash was lying on a table made of pure ice with his eyes closed. I got closer and I saw that his lips were tinted blue, he had his arms crossed on his chest, and he was holding a small pine branch in his hands.

"Ash?" I whispered as I reached out to touch him.

A gust of snow blew me back, but luckily, my reflexes made it so I landed on all fours.

"He can't hear you," I saw a shape appear out of nowhere, "and you can't save him, his heart is almost completely frozen," General Winter told me as he walked to Ash's body.

I saw that there was a shadowy wall right next to Ash and I was sitting in a shadow. My magic allows me to connect two shadows together and transport part or all my body between them. I blended my hand in with the shadows and pulled Ash's body to me. General Winter threw an icicle at me and I pulled up the shadow under me to absorb us. I used the shadows to take us back to the closest tree to the school.

Norway ran to us as I fell out while holding Ash.

"Take him inside, he's almost fully frozen. I'll follow as soon as I have enough strength," I yelled out and then Norway ran inside with Ash in his arms.

The only problem with my magic is that it drains my strength fast if I didn't drink enough and I can only travel between shadows that I have touched. Every day, each shadow is new so I couldn't travel to the hospital wing.

"Well, I see that the shadow lover is all alone," General Winter said as he pulled me up by my neck, "even if they save him, you'll never see him again."

He stabbed me with an icicle in the heart then he dropped me. I blacked out before hitting the ground.

*Ash's POV*

I opened my eyes and shot up. I looked around and saw that I somehow got to the hospital wing.

"Ash! You're awake!" My dad said then he hugged me.

"What happened? Last thing I remember is meeting a person called General Winter then nothing."

"You were attacked by General Winter and Bram saved you before it was too late."

"Where is Bram?" I said while looking around for him, "I don't see him."

He was about to reply when we heard the yelling.

"We can't get it out!" England's voice.

"He's not responding to anything!" Norway's voice.

"None of the healing spells are working and his body won't take the blood!" Romania's voice.

I got up and ran to the yelling before my father could stop me. I saw Norway, England, and Romania all trying to work spells on Bram. I saw an icicle sticking out where his heart supposes to be. He was lying on a hospital bed and he looked paler than death.

"No," I whispered as I saw it.

The three of them turned and saw me but I didn't pay any attention to them as I walked towards Bram.

"I'm sorry, we did everything we could," was all England said before they all left.

I reached out and grabbed the icicle; I saw it trying to freeze my hand as I started to pull it out. I started to cry as I used my full strength on it.

"Vlad?" I said to him after I finally got it out.

I looked and saw that it cut into his heart and froze it. I changed my nails into claws and I cut across my wrist. I moved it right over the hole and let my blood drip down into it. I stopped it after a few moments and moved my wrist to over his lips. I finally started to see his little bit of color return to him. He finally opened his eyes and I saw that they were blood red. I helped him sit up and I sat down next to him.

"Go right ahead," I told him as I tilted my neck to give him full access.

He sank his fangs right in and started to drink. I put my hand over the hole so it could tell me when he's fully healed, then I heard them rush into the room to check on me.

"Bram!" I heard Romania yell out.

I raised my hand to stop them as they attempted to pull him off me.

"No! To heal something this extreme, he needs fresh blood," I told them.

I felt the hole fully close.

"Bram, you can stop now," I told him.

I felt him pull his fangs out, and then we both laid down on the bed. We passed out as I felt someone pull a blanket over us.

Me: That was a crazy chapter! And, it had a special appearance of General Winter!

Romania & Canada: You almost killed my son!

Kuma: Would you rather the writer put them out into a battlefield?

*Romania & Canada stayed silent*

Me: Thank you Kuma, could you say the final words?

Kuma: Ok. Thank you for reading. Please fav, follow, and/or Review.
