Wow, sorry for the wait! I got kind of lazy since school was ending. The next chapter won't take as long to upload.

Disclaimer: I do not the Hunger Games or Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

Nico's POV

After a while, the pain dulls and becomes bearable. I rest my head in my hands and listen to my shaky breaths. The others have to stop walking and take breaks a lot so I can rest. I wish they would go on without me, but I know they'd never do that. They don't leave people behind.

"How much longer do you think you'll need?" Katniss asks, crouching down next to me. "We need to pick up movement soon, or we won't make it."

I lift my head up and say, "I'm good to go now. I just need some help up." Katniss nods and wraps her arm around my waist and, slowly, helps me up. I lean on her for a second before standing by myself, which turns out to be a bad idea, because I fall forward. Luckily, Katniss manages to catch me, her arms secured tightly around me, so that I don't fall again. She doesn't remove her hands, so I end up leaning on her the entire time, my steps small and wobbly.

A few hours later, Annabeth stops suddenly and says, "This is as far as you can go, Nico. The Cornucopia's too dangerous for you in your condition. Someone's going to have wait here and watch over him." She turns and looks at the group. "Any volunteers?"

"I'll wait here," Peeta says, raising his hand. "I won't be much help in the Cornucopia anyway."

"Alright," Percy says. "The rest of us are going to head to Cornucopia, get what we need, and meet back up here. Make sure not to leave this spot. Oh, and Nico, don't push yourself. You have to rest, or you won't recover. Got it?" I nod, so Percy and the others start walking away, soon becoming out of sight.

Peeta comes up next to me and helps me sit down, my back leaning against a tree for support. He sits down next to me, and, after a pause, says, "You never did say what happened to you. When we found you, you were already injured."

"I was with the group, and I thought I heard a voice, someone calling out for their brother. I wanted to find out who the voice belonged to, so I strayed from the group and followed the voice. While I was walking, I heard someone laugh and then an arrow came whizzing at me from the trees and lodged itself into my leg. I managed to get it out, but the pain was already becoming excruciating…"

"Why did you follow the voice?" He asked, confused. "Did you recognize it?"

I shake my head, "No. It's just… I had a sister named Bianca, who died a few years back. The voice reminded me of my sister, so I followed it. Thinking about it now, it was a stupid move. I bet the voice was trying to lure someone to them so they could be killed. I'm such an idiot. Why did you, Katniss, and Thalia leave the group?"

"We realized you were missing, so we went to go look for you. We were panicking, so we forgot to tell Percy and Annabeth to follow us. Thalia was really worried. She was looking everywhere… She really cares about you, Nico. You spend as much time as you can with her, before the 'Games end. I wish Katniss wanted to spend her time with me, but it's not like her to show affection, I guess. All she thinks about is surviving."

I shrug, "There isn't any time to spend with each other. Every move we make, every word we say, can change our fate. We can't sit around and cherish our lives. Katniss is right by focusing on her survival. We all have to do the same, if we want to live."

Peeta looks at his hands, and I wonder if I said something wrong. He shakes his head, sighing, "Yeah, you're right. Only one person is going to live, and I've just got to accept that. I'm in the Hunger Games, where people kill each other to survive. It's each kill or be killed here, no fun or joy here."

I don't reply, even though I want to. I want to tell him that we've got a plan, that he and Katniss are going to live, that we're going to escape. But I can't, so I don't say anything.

"Do you think they'll get the medicine?" Peeta says after a few minutes of silence. He has his knees hugged to his chest and he's looking straight ahead of him, like he's lost in thought.

"Yeah, I do. They're strong, both in numbers and physically. They could more than medicine, if they wanted."

He nods, "Yeah. I think they'll only get what they need, though, just to be careful. Hey, how's your leg feeling?"

I look over at my leg, which is bandaged with Percy's shirt, and sigh, "It hurts, but I can deal with it."

"Oh. Hopefully the pain will stop soon," Peeta replies. He doesn't say anything else, and neither do I. Instead of talking, I sit there, wondering how the others are doing. I wonder if they're close to the Cornucopia by now.
