Chapter 8

Molly's POV

"You were onstage with Ramin. You two were going up to practice together. You two were going to practice together. You started swaying and as you were about to hit the stage floor, Ramin caught your body. Then, I jumped onto the stage and knelt by you. Ramin told me to get a wet rag and have someone call 911. I nodded at him, jumped off the stage, had Skye call 911, and got the wet rag. I handed it to Ramin. He placed it on your forehead. I kept hearing him say something but I could not make it out. When the paramedics came and got u on the stretcher, Ramin rode in the back with your unconscious body. I didn't know if he had gone home after they got u to the hospital or not after that. Then, I came here this morning to visit you. I saw Sierra here, talking to Skye. I was directed to your room, saw how you looked, and seen Ramin, next to you asleep, in a chair. I figured he probably stayed al night watching over you. And now Ramin is at his hotel." Megan said explaining.

"When I was in blackout, I had a dream that some guy was singing to me. His voice was velvety and soothing I couldn't see him but I could hear him though. Then, he said he loved. It was very weird." I replied rubbing my head.

"Oh." Megan said smiling. I looked at her weirdly.

"What about practice?" I asked.

"Oh, yeah, about that….Mrs. Connor cancelled it since you were taken to the hospital and all, and its Walloplaza week (made up Holiday. XD) tomorrow. So no practice for a week, I guess." Megan answered smiling again.

"I wonder if I could be let out early because I'm feeling allot better now." I said stretching. Megan grinned. In 20 minutes, I was out of the hospital. Megan handed me my phone and bag.

"Call Ramin." She said smiling. Megan walked with Ben to her van. He must have taken a plane to get here to Illinois and then a taxi to get to the hospital. I went under my contacts and pressed Ramin's name. It rang 2 times.

Then, Ramin's voice came on the line. "Hello, this is Ramin Karimloo." I waited for a few minutes not breathing. "Hello?" he asked the fifth time.

I yelled as loud as I could into the phone, "RAMIN!" I heard a "Holy…" and then a Thud! I started laughing. "Gotcha!" I said still laughing.

"Uh…this wouldn't by chance be Molly Johnson. Now would it?" Ramin asked sarcastically.

"Maybe..." I replied with a giggle. I heard his laugh come through the speaker of my phone. A hearty, smooth laugh coming from him was something I admired so much.

"So, you're out of the hospital?" he questioned.

"Yeah, I'm out. Could I maybe get a ride home? Megan left me here and went with Ben Lewis." I answered.

"Yeah, I'll be there in a bit. Don't go anywhere." Ramin replied.

"Um…hello… I have nowhere else to go. Where would I go?" I huffed. I hang up.

10 minutes later, Ramin pulled up to the front entrance of the hospital. He got out. "Hey." he said smiling.

"Hey." I replied waving.

"You seem to look allot better now." Ramin said rubbing the back of his neck.

"Yeah, I woke up over 30 minutes ago. And apparently, the first thing I see waking up is my best friend kissing Ben Lewis, who I just met earlier. I was like 'WTF did I just wake up to?' Plus to top it all off, I had a dream of where a random, shadowy figure was singing to me and saying he loved me. It has been a freaky morning." I answered shaking my head.

"Let's get you home then, Molly." Ramin said opening the truck door. I smiled as I got in. I buckled up and Ramin did too. Ramin put it in drive and drove out the parking lot. I stared out the window.

"Ramin? Is it alright if I roll this window down?" I asked.

"Sure, I don't mind at all." Ramin answered.

"Thanks." I replied. I pushed the down window button and it rolled down. I placed my arm on the sill and laid my head on my arm. I sighed. Then, I thought of something. "Ramin?" I said.

"Yeah?" he answered.

"Could we maybe make an extra stop on the way?" I asked.

"Where the stop at?" he questioned not looking at me and still somehow keeping his eyes on the road.

"Stop at the cemetery. I need to do something there." I replied. Ramin nodded. We stopped at the cemetery. I got out and located my parents' graves. I knelt down in between them. "Hey, Mom. Hey, Dad." I said

My mom's grave read 'Susana Johanna Miller Johnson. She was a loving daughter, wife and mother. 1957-2007.', and my dad's grave read 'Jacob Vincent Johnson. He was a caring son, husband and father. 1959-2012.'

My mother died when I turned 15. My father died last year. I miss them so much. "I miss you guys every day. I remember the times we shared and the fun things we did as a family. Mom, I got the lead in a play. I'm playing as Christine. Whenever I fall asleep, your lullaby plays in my head. I think it was..." I said trying to remember the lyrics. Then, I sang.

The lullaby: Rest your eyes you sleepy head. Go and climb into bed. Nod off to sleep. Don't make a peep. You know that God has his angels watching over you. Just know I am too.

"Papa, I've been taking your advice of keeping my head held high and those good things have come my way. I know I'll always be your little girl. I remember you saying that every day." I said giving each cold, gray marble grave a kiss. I got back up shakily. I felt a pair of strong arms under the crooks of my arms.

"Come on. Let's get u home now." Ramin said slightly smiling. I nodded. He got me back into his truck and drove to my house. Surprisingly, he remembered exactly where it was. Ramin parked the truck.

"Thanks." I said.

"You're welcome, Molly." he replied.

I started opening the car door, but I turned back and said, "Would you like to come in for a cup of coffee?"

"Sure. Thank you, Molly." Ramin said getting out of his truck. I got out too and led the way up to my front door. I turned the key and was greeted by three happy upset meows.

"Hey babies! Did you miss me?" I walked to the kitchen, hearing 12 paws follow behind me. I got some cat food out from under the counter and separated the food equally into their bowls. They started scarfing down the dry food. "Aunt Megan didn't feed you, did she?" I asked stroking each cat's fur. I heard Ramin come into the kitchen.

"You're an animal person?" he asked. I nodded.

"Yeah, they're all shelter cats." I replied. "This is Smoky." I pointed to a silvery gray cat near the fridge. Smoky was Dad's cat. "That's Bella." I motioned to a calico cat eating near me. She was Mom's cat. "And that's Erik near your feet." I pointed toward the last cat eating near Ramin. Erik is my tuxedo cat. He's special though. He is all black except one part of his face. He has a large round white spot over his right eye down to the bridge of his muzzle.

Erik quit eating when he heard his name and came over to me. I picked him up and walked over to Ramin.

"Why did you name him Erik?" Ramin inquired, showing a puzzled look.

"Because he looks like the Phantom. See!" I turned Erik around and showed him to Ramin.

"Oh wow!" Ramin replied chuckling.

"Wanna hold him while I make the coffee?" I questioned looking at him. Ramin nodded. Ramin took Erik into his arms. Erik looked at me then back at Ramin. Then Erik meowed and rubbed his head under Ramin's chin and purred. "He seems to like you." I said making the coffee now.

Ramin smiled, chuckling again.
