"Well, what do you think?" I asked Edward while sitting on the bed in the cute little cottage that had been gifted to us by Carlisle and Esme. "Can she get a puppy?" At that instant, Edward dashed across the room to my side. His face looked worried. "Well, I think it would normally be OK, but she's half vampire, Bella. She could attack him in a second. Or, what if we have a dog when Jacob comes back? Nessie wouldn't even try to keep it from him and he might get angry." Edward was losing it. "Calm down, honey. I think we should get a puppy for Renesmee," I said, "If there turns out to be a problem, we can fix it." I kissed Edward lightly on the lips. He replied, "Fine. We'll try it. But if there are ANY problems, the dog will no longer be ours. Besides, we shouldn't have to worry about her making the poor thing into a meal. Dogs are unappealing to you and me, and her too." "So it's settled. We'll go to the pet store tomorrow and check things out, "I said, my voice firm. I wasn't going to let Edward worm his way out of this one. "Now, where were we?" he asked as he began to kiss my lips…
