"I could not tell the whole world the name of the wand you wield."

"Mr. Grey I am not sure what you are talking about?" Albus tried to play dumb but he was pretty sure he knew what Nate Grey meant.

"Denial Dumbledore? Really? Let me you its name then, the wand of destiny, The Elder Wand." Dumbledore shuddered at the name of the accursed wand he had won more than four decades ago.

"So, you called me here for the wand? You do know that you will have to kill me for it, yes?"

"The wand can be acquired through disarming you if you are unwilling me to let me do so. It will change allegiance as soon as it suspects weakness thus remaining undefeated by proxy. And do not try to guilt trip me again, I do not want the wand for now." Nate replied sounding offended at Dumbledore's insinuation.

" For now? What could compel you to use such a traitorous tool? You chase myths and legends that should have been left as a stories."

"Can't argue against that. What I want is a duel against you and the favor I mentioned earlier. Give me those things and I will collect the wand in the future. Just as I will the cloak from Harry Potter and the stone from its grave."

"You wish to Master Death." Dumbledore stated plainly. But Nate could see him contemplating fighting against the wards when he had mentioned Potter. Albus Dumbledore really wanted the boy safe, even going as far as to disregard the monstrous disadvantage of the wards.

"No, I want to scare it off. And you need not worry about Potter, I am pretty sure he will exchange it for a favor or two." Nate said to ease the old man.

"You really believe yourself capable of scaring death." Dumbledore observed, "I accept the deal but insist upon a magical vow to keep today's meeting a secret and agreement to attend Hogwarts for the next seven years of your life. At the end of your schooling we will fight a duel where IF you win, you get the wand. Finally if you ever find the resurrection stone, you allow me to use it."

"It does not feel that bad of a deal on my part so I agree, can we get to the dueling ring I made to start our duel."

[Dueling Ring, Grey Manor Grounds.]

[Nate's POV]

My dueling ring was on the spot I practised my elemental spells or larger runic magic. It had runes around as a ring designed to contain fiendfyre or any stray magic that could cause damage to the manor, it was also to isolate the are spatially so that the wards don't affect the magic inside the ring.

When Dumbledore and I entered the ring, it activated the protections and one could see the air shimmering around the boundary.

"Impressive rune work, I assume it is yours. Must have taken a long time to carve them."

"Yes it did. So should we begin?" I was such a vain person to feel smug about this but damn it, it feels good getting praised.

"Yes we shoul-" before he had finished he had flung a variety of spells, a few I recognized to be stupefy, confringo, bombarda and incendio.

The ground in front of me exploded into three walls to act as cover for me. Before I flung Ignis Stellarum at the cheating goat from around the walls to keep him occupied.

BOOM*

The explosion caused by his spells was enough to deafen me. But even during such a time I knew the move he would make and was preparing for it by casting runes on the wall to keep it from breaking by another assault of bombarda or confringo.

After which I condensed the water in the air surrounding me rapidly before letting go off my blue flames to banish a torrent of water from my wand with enough force to sweep any thing in its path with itself toward Dumbledore from both sides of the wall. And as I had expected the exploded earth walls had been transfigured by the man into wolves to flank me from the blind spot on the walls while he simultaneously sent a bombarda, depulso and stupefy in a combination.

And my play had worked quite nicely as the wolves were swept by the torrent of water back to Dumbledore and while the bombarda did break the hastily made runic cluster it did not get past the wall and thus the depulso and stupefy had just splashes harmlessly against the wall.

An unhappy side effect of this was the steam that had built up due to my use of flames and water in conjunction had obscured the man from me.

As I was about to move away from my previous location as to not get bombarded, I saw the steam being blown away where Dumbledore was standing previously. So I took a potshot with a Expelliarmus and lo and behold I get potshot by another direction that had no way of knowing where I was. The man had used an elemental spell to make me look at an area where he wasn't and attack him there.

I blocked the aguamenti coming my way and banished it back using a depulso after freezing the water into small pellets which I followed with wind coming out of my wand so I could see the transfiguration master.

The old goat looked like he had not just been throwing spells that could kill me if I didn't know how to defend myself,"Alas! Looks like the game of hide and seek has ended." He almost sounded sad saying that.

"I have to say, you are an amazing duelist."

"I could say that you could give Filius Flitwick, a colleague of mine, a run for his money. So what do you say we up the game a bit?"

"Why no-" before finishing my sentence and I flicked a charm at him. It was a sonic spell than acted as a column of very loud noise upto as loud as a whale's cry.

He materialized a shield that had three layers to stop my charm and when the two spells collided, it created a shockwave strong enough to make my cloak fly back as if it was a cape while his wizard's hat were blown away and robes were pushing him back.

He still maintained his calm look as he commented, "Mr. Grey, children should not play with spells like that, why don't you play with these cute pu-" and as he said I saw myself surrounded by steel wolves towards my back which I had not dealt with properly and just sent them back to their master. I could even feel some of them having rudimentary enchantments. It was a stupid mistake I made.

Now I had Dumbledore looking at me as his eyes twinkled in front of me and steel wolves at my back. Dumbledore commented,"Looks like you have lost, my boy." as he flicked his wand at me to send a silent Expelliarmus.

The spell unfortunately for Dumbledore passed through Nate as he asked,"Have I?"

Dumbledore's eyes widened a bit and then narrowed before he muttered,"Solid Sonic Illusions, genius."

"Thanks. Getting praise from Merlin's Second coming is a great boost to my ego." commented Nate as he appeared with his wand pointed at Dumbledore's back as the illusion he had cast lifted, "So wanna admit defeat? The deathstick?" as he chuckled.

"You will find Mr. Grey that you are not the first wizard to point a wand at my back." Dumbledore chuckled mirthlessly as a cobra the size of a python appeared around Nate's legs and as Nate moved to stop it from biting, Dumbledore fired an expelliramus at Nate while simultaneously apprating away so as to save himself from the boy's retaliation against the poor snake.

Nate burned the snake using the Ignis Stellarum but was disarmed by Dumbledore's disarming spell.

"Well looks like I have won again." commented Dumbledore.

"You did. Snake was under a disillusionment charm was it not? "

"It was, but I have to say, the only thing Filius would have on you would be casting speed and spell repotaire. You have the makings of a great duelist Mr. Grey." Dumbledore praised genuinely.

"T-thank you, sir." Nate's cheeks had reddened at the man's genuine praise.

"NATE ALEXANDER-IRENE GREY!!!! HOW DARE YOU LIE TO ME ABOUT THE MEETING!!!" came the voice of William Grey from Grey Manor.

"Oh boy." Dumbledore looked at Nate amused.
