[TPP]

After the feast ended, the whole student body had to sing a really stupid school song. Nate did not sing even a single sentence. His dignity would be damaged if he sung the song. After the song was over, Dumbledore gave out start of term notices before asking them to leave for their common rooms.

The prefects walked the first years through the castle, up the moving staircase to the Gryffindor Tower. The prefects also gave out warnings during the small walk.

The entrance to the Gryffindor common room was concealed under the portrait of theFat Lady, on the lavish Gryffindor Landing.

To enter one had to present the Fat Lady with the correct password of the week.However, getting the password wrong meant the student would have to wait the day for another student to come by and pass them the code.

'Fairy Lights' was the password for the week. The portrait swung forward to reveal a round hole in the wall. They all scrambled through it — and found themselves in the Gryffindor common room.

Thecommon roomwas a circular room whereGryffindorstudents could relax after a long day of studying. It was full of squashy armchairs, tables, and abulletin boardwhere school notices, ads, lost posters, etc. could be posted. The common room was decorated in several shades of red, which was associated with the house. The common room was comfortable.

There were many windows that looked out onto the grounds of theschool, and a large fireplace dominated one wall. The mantle of the fireplace was adorned with a portrait of a lion and there were various books on the mantle. The fireplace was also connected to theFloo Network, not that anybody knew as it was pretty much forgotten. The walls were decorated with scarlet tapestries that depicted witches and wizards, but also various animals. There were also bookcases located in the room, filled with various novels and forms of literature.

The prefects gave them each gave them the number of the dormitory they would live in. Sadly for Nate he was sharing the dormitory with the twins and Lee Jordan.

The four-poster beds were covered in red eiderdowns with red curtains, a wooden nightstand next to it and their school trunk at the foot of the bed. A wooden board was located on either side of the bed. A wooden chair and dresser were located on one side of the bed, near the nightstand. A wooden bookcase was located on the other side of the bed with books on top of it. The dorm had stone walls and wooden floors. The windows had red curtains. The dorm had a red and yellow carpet with the house crest in the centre of it.

'The brainwashing is strong in here. If all students were so thoroughly pushed into the idea of houses, then how the hell were they going to associate with those from other houses.' Nate thought.

Nate had decided that the first thing he was going to do was ask if he could change the dorm as he liked if his dormmates agreed.

He took one of the beds as he changed into his pyjamas. He hanged his white cloak on the bed. He cleared the desk of all the things the school provided like the glass and the jug by asking an elf named Nitwit to remove it. He then expanded the internals of the desk to house more things and dumped his school books and journals into it.

He had drawn the curtains of the four poster bed and cast knitting charms on three of the four entrances. Then he had performed an expansion charm on it to get it to increase in size. When he entered the bed it looked more like the size of the common room. He then cast multiple cushioning enchantments on the bed itself. He then cast an animated illusion of the night sky on the roof of the bed which he followed by a permanency charm. It would replicate the daylight and lunar cycle. Except it would be clear no matter the weather. He then added weather charms that controlled temperature of the room at 17 degree Celsius.

He crafted another permanent illusion on the curtains showing a very dense and dark Forrest. It was just a visual illusion though. He took the blanket provided and cast a permanent warming enchantment on it along with a enlargement and self cleaning charm. He also cast the same on the curtains of the bed to keep them clean.

Finally he cast proximity wards on the entrance tied with a simple memo enchantment. The memo was for elves who wanted to clean the bed. Telling them that the student had already cleaned it but thanking them anyway.

He walked out of his personal room to look at what the others were doing and saw that most of his dorm mates were also setting up books and their beds. Lee was putting up his football posters. The twins were putting on their jumpers and getting ready for bed.

He then told them that he was tucking in and went to his room to sleep not before taking out the Tesseract and placing it next to himself near where he had kept his alarm clock. Nate laid down on the soft ground of the room and let Morpheus take him to the dreaming world.

[Next Morning]

Nate woke up to the light of the sun when he checked the alarm clock, he had woken up ten minutes early as always.

He removed the blanket and summoned his school robes wandlessly. He then strapped the wand holster to his right arm, tapped the shrinking rune of Tesseract and put it his robes pocket. He then put a teeth cleaning and mouth freshening charm on himself. He then removed the creases of his robes, and put on the house scarf provided by the house. He put on his muggle sports shoes which he had enchanted with cushioning charms. He then put a hair-styling charm and gave a wavy look to his hair.

Nate then summoned the illusion of a mirror and looked himself over. He looked smart enough. He then grabbed his cloak on which he had added a color changing charm to meet the house dress code. It now was black with a red string.

He moved out of his room into the dorm room and saw that all of his dormmates were sleeping. He took out the rucksack he had bought. Put all his books in it and dispelled the expansion charm he had performed on the desk. He then took out the small enchanted compass he had made that would let him find a path to a place in the castle.

He moved out of the dorm and went down the stairs into the Common room. There was no one there, probably due to it being the first day of term and early morning.

He then moved to the hole that was the entrance to the Gryffindor Dormitories. He pushed the handle open and moved out of the common room. He did not let the door shut because he was not sure whether the fat lady was in the portrait or not. But when he saw that she was in there sleeping and he could return in there, he let the door shut itself. He took a path that did not make sense to him and felt wrong but being a practitioner of the illusionary arts, he was used to such feelings. He religiously followed the path shown by his compass.

He finally walked into corridor where the compass showed a straight path. He walked while looking at the portraits searching for the one he was looking for. He finally saw the portrait he was looking for, a man sleeping around trolls that were dressed in ugly ballet dresses.

He moved opposite to the portrait and started walking back-and-forth. After the third time he repeated the weird looking routine, a door materialized on the wall opposite to the portrait.

Nate muttered, "The room of requirements."
