I'm so sorry that it's taken me so long to update, but I hope that this chapter makes up for it. Enjoy. :)
The Time She Spent With Him
A year later and the pair was still going strong. Severus had just flooed over to Gina's house. And with his head in the flames, he asked,
"So, I was thinking, would you like to go out tonight? There's a really great place in Diagon Alley. What do you say?"
"Are you talking about Amore? But you have to be on a waiting list for six months just to get a reservation",said Gina.
"The manager owes me a favor," he said, smirking through the flames.
"Well then," she stooped closer to the fireplace, "I guess I'll have to go then, seeing as it was so hard for you to get a reservation," she said, her voice practically dripping with sarcasm.
"Then I'll see you at 8 then?", said Severus.
"You'll see me at 8,"said Gina.
And as they both got ready for their date, his pocket was weighed down with a ring and she was floating on cloud nine.
After he aparated to her house to pick her up, they went to the restaurant. Once they had finished dinner, Severus was starting to get nervous. He waited for the right time, and when it came, he took the opportunity to do what he had been planning to do from the very beginning of this dinner.
"Gina?", he said.
"Yes Severus?", she said.
And taking a deep breath, he began his proposal.
"Gina, from the moment I met you, I loved you so much. I love everything about you. I love how your eyes light up when you smile, how your laugh sounds like music, and how you know exactly when to use sarcasm. I'm ready to finally take all of this to the next level. I need to ask you a very important question. Gina," with that, he got down on one knee, pulled out a ring, and asked those classic four words, "Will you marry me?"
"Of course I will. I love you Severus," she exclaimed.
And with that, he carefully placed the ring on her delicate finger while the restaurant thundered with applause.
