(A/N: I decided to write a part two! Enjoy!)

Leah is almost out of breath from chasing Jasper. When she finally catches up to him, she asks, "Could you really see all of that by just looking at my face?"

Jasper frowns thoughtfully at her. "Yes," he decides finally. "Although I suppose the feeling emotions thing might have helped a little. You see, I can't control feeling everyone's emotions, just like you can't control hearing your pack brothers' thoughts while in wolf form. I assure you, knowing everyone's emotions is not as fun as it might seem."

"I can imagine that," Leah says quietly, avoiding eye contact with the blond vampire. "But why did you tell me about Sam? I mean, why does it matter to you if Sam still loves me?"

Jasper sighs. "Sam loves you more than you think. I guess I just thought you'd like a little reassuring about that. Not everyone in the world hates you, you know."

"But we're vampire and werewolf. We take pleasure in each other's pain. At least, I take pleasure in your pain." Leah feels slightly guilty for admitting this after Jasper has told her how Sam feels, but she's still a werewolf. She still isn't a fan of vampires, even the ones who tell her how her ex-boyfriend feels.

A small, mysterious smile flickers across Jasper's face. "Maybe you take pleasure in my pain, Leah, but I've seen enough in my…existence to know that no pain is good pain, not even when it's your enemy's."

(A/N: I love this mysterious thing Jasper's got going on. I think Leah does, too, otherwise why would she have chased after Jasper? Reviews are love!)
