Frontier 02: Home Frontier – Sorry, not chapter 14…

Takuya: Hi there, everyone!

Kouji: Um, hi.

Daiki: Yo yo yo, home slices!

Hotaru:

Kouichi: Hello!

Takuya: I bet you're wondering where Madjack is, huh? Well, first of all, this isn't ACTUALLY chapter 14. Madjack told the five of us to entertain you guys because she won't be able to update chapter fourteen until the end of next week, so…you get us instead.

Kouichi: Sorry! But we'll try our hardest to keep you happy until then!

Daiki: We're going to give you some interviews, a sneak peek of chapters to come and, best of all, randomness!

Kouji: Yeah, but you guys are forgetting that she ALSO told us to answer reviews from the last chapter.

Takuya: Oh yeah…

Daiki: Wait! I've got an idea! Why don't we all answer reviews together! Like those guys in suits do on those shows on TV!

Hotaru: Like a group discussion?

Daiki: Yeah, like that!

Kouichi: Sounds good.

Takuya: Sure!

Kouji: Fine.

Takuya: Okay, let's begin!

babytigera:

Kouichi: Well, thank you for choosing me as your favorite character! I seem to get a lot of fans, for some reason.

Daiki: There is a very simple explanation! Girls love twins!

Kouji and Kouichi: …Oh.

Takuya: And thanks for choosing me as your second, but…why does everyone call me stupid!

Kouji: Because you are.

Takuya: Kouji…

Kouichi: Um…let's move on before this turns into a fight…heh heh…

Megmo8214:

Takuya: Ahem…ready guys?

Everyone: Ready.

Takuya: 1…2…3…

Everyone: Thank you for the nice review!

Takuya: I think that's what Madjack would say.

Kouji: Okay, next review.

JewelledTears:

Takuya: Ha! People DO like that line, Kouji! Maybe you should start using it too!

Kouji: NEVER! I will NEVER say that!

Kouichi: Heh heh…

Kouji: What are you laughing at?

Kouichi: Oh, nothing.

Daiki: What? Of course we have Star Wars! It's an international type thing! And Teen Titans…I think we have that, too. I mean, I've never seen it, but…!

Hotaru: There are always subs.

Daiki: Right!

Kouji: And just to rehash this point…I AM NOT INTERESTED IN KOUICHI LIKE THAT! God…

Takuya: The fangirls beg to differ, Kouji.

Kouji: …Takouji.

Takuya: Gaaahhh!

Kouji: And because I said that, I'd better say this…I AM NOT GAY! In fact, in chapters to come, I prove that I'm not gay because…I can't say yet.

Kouichi: Should I say I'm not interested in Kouji too, or is it already obvious?

Daiki: Um, let's get on to the next review! Wheeeeee!

Kouichi: Wait, it's not obvious that I'm in love with Zoe!

Zoe: What?

Kouichi: Agh! Zoe! What are you doing here…

Zoe: Well, I was told to come for an interview, but if you don't want me to…

Kouichi: No wait! Just wait until we're done answering reviews, okay?

Zoe: Okay! I'll wait outside! *leaves*

Takuya: Smooth.

Kouichi: Ughhhhhhh…

GoldenDragon326:

Takuya: Well, Madjack said she was hyper when she wrote chapter thirteen, so she ended up putting a double dose of jokes in the chapter! But that's not really a bad thing, is it? Hee…freaky telekinetic twin powers…

Kouji: Shut up!

Daiki: But I once read that since identical twins come from one embryo, they share a brain wavelength or something and they can tell if the other twin is in pain!

Takuya: Aha! Freaky telekinetic twin powers!

Kouichi: Interesting.

Kouji: *sigh* I give up.

Kouichi: And I agree, 'it' really wasn't that bad.

Kouji: *glares* Moving on…

greywindfalcon:

Takuya: Well, I'm glad that SOMEONE likes my sense of humor.

Kouji: Yeah, whatever.

Wizardmon: Hee hee, I knew that line was pure gold!

Everyone: Get out of here!

Wizardmon: Humph… *leaves*

Kouichi: I hope you didn't hurt yourself when you fell off the chair…

Kouji: That's probably not literal, Kouichi.

Kouichi: Oh…alright then! I feel stupid…

Kouji: You're not stupid; you're just too nice for your own good.

Daiki: Yup, he is!

Takuya: Okay, time to get to that interview with Zoe. Zoe, come on in!

Zoe: Alright! *walks in* Okay, what is this interview about?

Daiki: Well, Kouichi sits in this chair, you sit in the other, the rest of us sit five feet away from you guys, and we ask you questions about your character!

Kouichi: *blushes* Dai! Get those chairs back over here!

Daiki: Fine…!

Takuya: Did that require an exclamation point?

Daiki: I'm trying to end all my sentences with exclamation points today!

Takuya: Um, okay…let's just do this interview.

Everyone: *sits*

Takuya: So, using a list of questions Madjack gave us for you to answer, when is your birthday?

Zoe: May 6.

Kouji: Um…are you Italian and Japanese, or just Italian?

Zoe: Well, my mother is Italian and my father is Japanese. We lived in Japan for awhile, then we moved to Italy, then we moved back to Japan. That sounds kind of confusing, huh?

Kouji: Hey, I moved a lot as a kid too. I know the feeling.

Zoe: At least you stayed in the same country.

Kouji: True…except when we moved to the US for about two months.

Daiki: Wow, you lived in America! Awesome!

Kouichi: What was that like?

Kouji: Well…there were big buildings, people that ignored me, and I learned to speak English pretty well.

Takuya: Wow, you could talk to Mimi all day long!

Kouji: No!

Daiki: Okay Zoe! Does your blonde hair make you feel uncomfortable when you're standing in a crowd? You know, in Japan!

Zoe: Well…maybe. It does usually make me stick out in a crowd, but so does hanging out with you guys, so it's okay.

Kouji: Girls…

Takuya: Is that your catch phrase or something?

Kouichi: Hotaru, are you still alive?

Hotaru: …Yes.

Kouichi: Okay…Zoe, who did you have a…um…crush on in the Digital World…? Daiki gave me this on purpose…

Zoe: Ha ha ha ha! I get asked that all the time! Well, let's see…I'd have to say that I DID have a little crush on Kouji…but we're just friends now. Besides, I think he might have had a crush on ME too, but that was just an assumption, so it might not necessarily be true…

Kouji: Well…I found you…maybe…slightly attractive…

Zoe: *giggles* Yeah, well, I thought for a while that I had a crush on Takuya too, but I realized that I just felt protective of him, like a mother. And he really needed it sometimes, let me say…

Takuya: Yeah…I still remember when I told you I liked you. Not in the Digital World, but when I full-on confessed when we got back to the human world. And…you turned me down.

Zoe: Takuya…you know I had to. I didn't feel that way about you.

Daiki: I smell a story!

Takuya: Hmmm…maybe we could tell it. You know, as an extra feature. We are trying to put as many extra things in here as possible.

Kouji: If you're okay with it, fine.

Zoe: Wait! I didn't say how I felt about Kouichi back then!

Kouichi: Oh…well…ha ha, I guess you didn't! Ahhhh…

Zoe: Hmm…at first, I thought Kouichi was like a mystery man full of secrets!

Kouichi: Gah! *falls over anime style*

Zoe: But after talking to him, I found out that Kouichi is a really sweet, considerate person.

Kouichi: *blushes slightly, turns head* I don't know about that…

Daiki: Hee hee!

JP: What about me, Zoe!

Zoe: Um, you're a little pushy, but you're a nice guy, too.

JP: Yes!

Takuya: Okay, now I'll tell you my rejection story. In story format, no less!

One day after school…

"Um, hey Zoe? Can I maybe talk to you for a minute? You know, in private?" I said, shuffling my feet. I had tossed around the consequences of telling Zoe I loved her for a while, but I had finally decided to bring out my impulsive side and just blurt it out.

"Sure," she said, flashing me that pretty smile of hers. Yeah, you guessed it. I got even more nervous.

"Go ahead, Takuya," said Kouichi reassuringly. "I'll wait for you guys here." Man, Kouichi's a great guy! Don't let anyone, including him, tell you different! And I didn't even know he had a…oh wait, she…um, yeah. Kouichi's a nice guy. If you're wondering where Kouji is, he didn't go to the same school as Kouichi, Zoe and I did last year. And I preoccupied JP with something so he wouldn't interfere. Plus, Kouichi was keeping watch for him. Again, great guy.

So we walked over to a big tree near the edge of the school yard. It was the picture of perfect timing, let me tell you. The sun was shining, birds were chirping, somewhere children were laughing, I'm sure…it was just perfect. Then, in my very blunt way of doing things (I admit that I tend to be blunt), I just kind of spat it out.

"Zoe, I…I love you! I've wanted to tell you, to REALLY tell you, for a while now, but…" I took this pause to gauge her reaction, but she didn't seem at all surprised. Actually, she knew that this would happen eventually. She just knows us too well…

Yeah, she rejected me. But she really was nice about it, like she had been planning what to say for a while. Which, in fact, she had.

"Takuya…I'm sorry, but…I don't feel that way. I care about you, but in a different way. In a friendly way. I'd rather stay friends with you than…well, you know. I'm sorry."

Well, I felt like the world's biggest idiot. I really just could not look her straight in the eye after she said that. My head was just spinning like crazy, and I was getting a little dizzy. I actually faltered slightly, which made Zoe nervous. She asked me if I was okay and grabbed me before I fell. This made me feel worse, so I gently pulled my arm from her grasp, saying, "Thank you for telling me the truth."

Then I ran. I didn't look back, I just ran. This is because I could feel the tears brimming in my eyes. Of course, the tears always come. I didn't want to make Zoe feel bad for just telling me the truth, so I made sure I was far away from school before I stopped running.

I looked around and realized I had no idea where I was. That seemed fitting, so I let go. I cried. I won't give you all the details, but it was a pretty big sob-fest. Well, after a while I went home, and things went back to normal. Though I'd kind of freaked Kouichi out when I ran past him. He said I'd looked like I was gonna go jump off a bridge or something. Needless to say, both he and Zoe were very happy to see me at school the next day.

Well, there you have it. Not much of a story, but still.

Zoe: Aww, now I do feel bad! You said you didn't cry!

Takuya: I lied. Sorry.

Kouji: Well, that was informative.

Kira: *bursts open door* Takuya! *hugs Takuya sympathetically*

Takuya: It's alright now, Kira. That happened awhile ago.

Kira: But it still happened…

Zoe: Oh, now I feel completely horrible!

Kouichi: You're not horrible…you're a kind person. And you're compassionate.

Zoe: Kouichi…you really are too sweet.

Kouichi: *blushes furiously* Heh heh…

Daiki: Maybe we should rap this up now! Shino, Tommy, take us out!

Shino: In the next chapter, we find out that Wizardmon's attack was not as harmless as it seemed, as Kouji has some uncomfortable memories come back to haunt him.

Tommy: And why is Shino's arm hurting him suddenly? Maybe he needs an ice pack…

Shino: Plus, Kouichi and Zoe grow closer as JP and Zoe's friendship grows strained.

Tommy: Also, Shinya begins to grow jealous of all the attention Takuya gives me, and Takuya's cousin makes a surprise visit…but what's that look in his eye for?

Shino: So many questions, so little answers. Keep watch for updates, and have a good week!

Tommy: Bye!

madjack89: Um…what are you guys doing?

Everyone: Uh…

madjack89: Hey, I never told you to do this! You did this behind my back!

Takuya: Uh, see you, everyone!

madjack89: Takuya…
