Holiday Humbugs
"This is so stupid," Lizzie said to herself. "I hate the holidays."
"What's wrong?" Casey asked. "I thought you loved baking cookies with me!"
"No," Lizzie untied her apron and threw it onto the counter. "The Holidays suck. You and Derek fight even more than usual, mum gets stressed out from all the planning and shopping and decorating and takes it out on us and Marti runs around like a maniac asking for every gift she sees on TV. I'm going to my room, I've had just about as much as I can take!"
She stomped up the stairs and paused at the landing and checking to see that no one else was watching, headed for the Games Closet, shutting the door behind her and plucking the light switch on.
"Merry Christmas Lizzie," a voice said, stepping forward. Edwin smirked as he brandished a sprig of mistletoe, which he held over his head. He gently brushed a kiss to her lips and she shivered, wrapping her arms around him and kissing him back. Not everything was so bad about the holidays, after all.
A/N: This is my Christmas present to Lady Azura of Dasey Nation. She's a totally awesome author and a totally awesome girl. Happy Holidays, 'Randa! *hugs and love*
