A Farewell Kiss

Walking to his locker in a world of black, white, and every other shade of dull. He stands there in front of it; his mind as blank as an empty abyss.

Her touch was trembling. The shock had not startled him, but controlled him. Turning him around to meet her deep piercing eyes; closing his own feeling unworthy to look at her.

The soft brush of her lips came and revived his senses. He opens his eyes but is temporarily blind. Waiting for the warm blood to reach the rest of his body, he draws in a breath of fresh air and becomes strong again.

His sight returns and sees only a glimpse of her face close to his with her hair lapping down on her shoulders when he closes his eyes again to taste the succulent peppermint peach of her lips and draws her even closer.

The two hearts beating together like a pair of great wings created an aura of warmth to enclose them in their love; enveloped in a blanket of heat.

He lets go of her and suction is lost as he gently pulls away. Turning the lock with her leaning on his shoulder creates an ecstatic smile across his face. Handing over the algebra book, her soft skin touches his; sending a static volt to his brain and he yearned to feel it again.

Closing the locker he turns to her. "I'll see you later," he says.

"All right," she replies, "if we must go."

Her words so taunting as they always were drew him in for another kiss. Slowly it began, his senses leaving him, draining him of all warmth to leave him cold inside.

Blinded again he waits. His sight returns and he looks around the shaded gray hallway, she was gone.
