"Bella?" I whispered.

"Edward?" She was awake.

"You need to sleep."

"I can't anymore."

"Can you open your eyes for me?" She shook her head. I kissed her hand. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine." I looked at her questioning knowing she was lying. "Ok, I hurt a lot."

"You have a few injuries. But you will be okay." I wanted to reassure her.

"How do I look?"

"You are beautiful," I said, not lying. No matter how many cuts and bruises she had she will always be beautiful to me.

"Edward. Don't lie," she demanded.

"Well you are rough but you are okay and that is all that matters."

"Thank you." She squeezed my hand tighter, her eyes still shut.

"For what?" I really haven't done anything.

"For rescuing me," she tried to open her eyes but she couldn't.

"You are okay now Bella," I moved closer and kissed her forehead. I then kissed her nose and chin. This felt so good. I moved to kissing her jaw and cheek. I ended by kissing her eyes.

"I need you Edward." She spoke quietly.

"I'm not leaving you." I couldn't even if I tried.

"Can you help me?"

"What do you need?"

"To open my eyes."

"And how would you like me to do that," I said in a curious voice.

"Kiss them 1 more time, please."

I bent down slowly and kissed her left eye. I slowly moved to her right eye. I stayed close and she slowly tried opening her eyes. But she them as soon as a little light hit her. I kissed them 1 more time. "I promise you, nothing will happen."

She slowly opened her left eye and then her right.

I smiled. "I've missed those beautiful eyes."

She half smiled. "I've missed your beautiful face."

"Can I tell you something?" I asked her.

"Anything."

I bent down towards her eat. I took a deep breath. "I love you." I mumbled. I stood back up to see her reaction. She had closed her eyes again. But she opened them on her own.

"Can I tell you something Edward?"

"Anything," I mimicked.

"Come here." I leaned in close enough to feel her breathing. She pulled my face towards her with her hands. She kissed my forehead. "I love you too," she whispered and then let me go. I stoop up and smiled.

"I think this is enough action for now. Why don't you sleep my love?"

"Stay with me," she said with puppy dog eyes.

"Always." I kissed her hand.

She closed her eyes and was asleep in no time. She looked more peaceful. I left the room when she had slept for awhile. I had to call Emmett to see where he was.

"Did anything new happen?" Emmett asked when answering his phone.

"She woke up for a few minutes. We talked for a minute but I had her rest again."

"Good. I'll be there in about 40 minutes."

"Great."

"Have you slept?" he asked knowing I haven't.

"If that's what you want to call it."

"You need to sleep."

"I've tried,"

"Edward," he said in a disappointed tone.

"What?"

"We have a long week ahead of us. You need to sleep. She will be okay."

"Fine. I'll try." I gave up arguing.

"Thank you. Hey and Edward?"

"Yes?"

"Um about earlier when you first called me. Um sorry I freaked out. Truth is Bella is lucky you have been there this week." He said sincerely.

"It's fine. No big deal." I'm no hero.

"Well sleep bro. I'll be there soon."

"Bye." We hung up and I went back in the room. I made myself comfortable and slept. I didn't really sleep long. It was more of a nap. The doctor and a nurse where checking up on Bella.

"Sorry if we woke you," Her doctor said when I sat up.

"No biggie. Not like I could sleep anyways."

"It's hard at first but things will get better. Everyone is on edge and sensitive right now. But when she is out of here and is really starting recovering, things will start getting good again," he said encouraging.

"I hope so."

Edward?" She was awake, eyes closed.

"I'm here. Sorry if we woke you."

"My eyes."

I walked over and hesitantly I kissed her eyes in front of the doctor and nurse. She opened them and smiled.

"You feeling better Bella?" her doctor asked seeing her smile.

"Now I am," she squeezed my hand.

"Well if you need anything. Let know." He smiled while walking out the door with the nurse following.

"I think I'm going to go let them all know you are okay."

"Them?" she questioned me.

"Everyone from last night."

"They are all here?"

"Of course."

She sighed. I kissed her forehead. "I'll be right back."

I walked out and went to the waiting room. Everyone was up

"How is she?" Christina asked while everyone waited for me to reply.

"She is doing okay. She looks rough. She just has to recover."

"Can any of us see her?" Chad asked me.

"I think you all should go get changed, maybe eat, shower, or even sleep more. She just needs to rest."

"And what are you going to do?" She raised an eyebrow.

"She asked me to stay with her."

"Of course she did," she said jokingly and smiled.

"Here," I threw her Bella's keys. "Take her car. Come back later today. Her dad and my family are gonna be here soon.

"Thanks." All of them started getting up to leave.

"Hey Edward," Christina said before she left.

"Ya?"

"I'm glad you guys have realized it."

"What do you mean?"

"That you guys still love each other."

"How do you know?"

"How many people have to tell you? It is all in the eyes," she winked and everyone laughed. We all said our good byes.

When they walked out, I stood there for a moment. It had been such a long day and I needed to just catch up on things. Everything was just happening. Bella being hurt but us finally realizing we love each other. The biggest mistake was letting her go but if she's giving me another chance, I would not make the same mistake twice. I saw someone enter the hospital that pulled me from my thoughts.

"Chief Swan," I nodded as he walked towards me.

"How is she?" he sounded frantic.

"She has a concussion, a broken nose, and broken ribs. She just needs to rest."

Before he could reply a nurse came up to me.

"Mr. Cullen, Bella is asking for you. She said she needs you. She won't open her eyes."

"How long have they been closed?"

"I think since you left to come talk to your friends."

"Thank you," I said quickly and started running to her room, Charlie following. When she arrived at her door I stopped.

"Charlie, she is rough. Please just don't make a big deal. She doesn't need that right now."

"Just let me see her," he demanded. I opened the door and we walked in.

"Edward?" she sounded unsure.

"I'm here. I brought someone." I pushed Charlie as he hesitantly walked towards Bella. His mouth dropped and eyes widened when he saw her.

"Hey baby," he said cautiously.

"Dad?" she searched for his face.

"It's me." He kissed her forehead. Tears started falling.

"You didn't need to come." She said while he stood up to examine the rest of her body with tubes coming out of her every which way. Bruises were everywhere.

"Yes I did." He backed away knowing the tears were getting worse. He looked at me helplessly. I went over and took her hand.

"Edward. My eyes."

"Bella, lo-, can you try on your own?"

"I have tried. I just can't," she begged. I kissed her eyes. I heard Charlie gasp. She opened them.

"Thank you." She smiled and then looked at Charlie. "Please don't cry dad. I'm fine." He just nodded knowing there was no use for arguing.

"Edward can I talk to you for a moment," Charlie asked me and I nodded. I let go of Bella and she watched us walk outside the room.

"What was that?" he said immediately as I shut the door.

"It's the only way she will open her eyes," I defended myself.

"Why?" he shrieked. I shrugged. "Well you can't do that forever."

"I know but I'm making things easier for her right now.

"No," he refused. I wasn't arguing.

"If she asks me to I will. No ifs, ands, or buts about it."

"You will get her hopes up."

"What?"

"She will think you love her."

"And?"

"She can't handle another heartbreak."

"She won't," someone took the words out of my mouth. We both looked to see who was listening.
