Yay 2 updates in one day! Go me!! This is back to Bella's POV! Hope you like it! Go ahead and read. But remember I don't own any of the characters! I really wish I owned Edward : P
It was nice to be home. It was Thursday and I was so happy to finally get out of the hospital. It had been a long few days. I was getting sick of everyone asking me if I was okay. I was getting tired of lying to everyone. I guess that if I say it out loud enough I might start believing it myself. The only time I was okay was when Edward was around. It was easy to be around him. We didn't do much talking. We just sat together. It was hard for both of us to talk about it. The physical pain is starting to go away but the nightmares are what kill me. It just replays over and over in my head.
But it felt goo being in my bed again. I forgot how comfortable it was. I could smell Edward on my pillow and blankets. I guess he slept in here since my dad never let him stay at the hospital with me. I smelt my pillow one more time; it made me relax. It made me smile knowing he was mine again. He was all mine to kiss and touch. I get to wake up to his beautiful crooked smile, that bronze hair of his and his breath taking green eyes. I get to get butterflies every time he touches me. And he gets to dazzle me all he wants. Someone knocked on my door interrupting my happy thoughts. I debated if I should pretend I was sleeping but I felt bad.
"Ya?" I gave in.
The door opened and I saw Edward. I couldn't help but smile.
"Nice to be home?" He asked as he sat next to where I was laying in my bed.
"You have no idea." I was being dramatic. He smiled lightly. He looked like he had something to say but he choose not to.
"Will you lay with me?" I asked him. "Being in your arms will relax me. Plus I've missed being in those arms of yours." I smiled the smile I knew he couldn't resist.
"Of course. Anything for my love." He got under the covers and I turned on my side so my back was on his chest. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed my hair. I melted in his arms. "I missed this." He said aimlessly.
"Me too. You make everything much easier." I admitted.
"Glad I can help. Want to talk about it?" He said so caring.
I thought for a moment. He would be the only one I could tell but not right now. "Can we talk later? I want to enjoy this right now." I closed my eyes and snuggled closer.
"Whenever you are ready love." He kissed my hair again. "I love you."
"I love you too." I whispered. He started humming a familiar lullaby and with that I fell asleep.
At first the dream was of Edward. We were back in Forks, in our meadow. We went there a lot to get away. But then I saw John and my night was replayed over again. I woke up in Edward's arm. He was rocking me and crying. The rest of them were standing there watching Edward and waiting for me to wake. I was sweating and crying.
"Bella, you are okay. I promise." Edward repeated as he stroked my hair.
"I'm sorry." I managed to spit out.
He kissed my forehead. "No need to be sorry. Just as long as you are okay." He had stopped crying, so did I.
I wiped the few tears that were left on his cheeks. "What time is it?"
"It's 6 at night." Alice quickly answered.
"Have you all ate?" I asked, as they all looked down guilty.
I laughed. "It's no big deal. You guys have a right to eat." They all forced a smile.
"I haven't ate." Edward told me.
"Well Edward, would you like to go on a date with me?" My dad cringed.
"It would be my pleasure." He smiled my favorite crooked smile.
"Ok well I'm going to get in the shower and do all that junk." I said as I jumped out of bed.
"Can I help!" Alice asked with excitement.
"Well you can't shower with me Alice. I mean we are close and all but that's not really my thing." I joked to lighten up the mood.
"I meant picking out your outfit." She said after everyone got done laughing.
"I wouldn't expect anything else." I grabbed my things and showered.
Alice dressed me in hip hugging jeans, a blue flowy top that complimented my breast, and white accessories, including white flip-flops. She curled my hair and did my make up frosty. She covered up the bruises as best as she could. I looked at the mirror and was satisfied with the person I saw.
"Thank you Alice. You did amazing with the bruises." I gave her a hug. She smiled and said "Thanks," in a non-chipper way. "Edward is waiting for you." She changed her tone to chipper. I looked at myself one more time and took a deep breath. The butterflies were hitting me. "Bella you guys dated for 3 years. No need to be nervous." She teased me.
"Shut it!" I pushed her out of the way and went to the living room where everyone was waiting, including my knight and shining armor. When he saw me his eyes lit up. It's probably what I looked like when I saw him. He had khaki shorts on with a blue buttoned down shirt, the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. His hair was just perfect.
"You guys are so cute!" Alice brought Edward and I back to reality. I giggled like a little girl.
Edward smiled that smile. "Are you ready my lady?" Edward held out his hand for me to take it.
I took his hand and nodded. We walked out to the door and everyone screamed "Have fun!" besides Charlie that is. He opened the door and I followed him out, shutting the door so no one would follow us.
"You look beautiful," he said while leading me to Emmett's car.
"Thank you. You look very handsome yourself," I grinned. He opened the passenger door and I got in. In an instant he was in the driver's seat and we were on our way to our first date in almost 2 years.
"Where are we going?" I wondered.
"Surprise." He said with no emotion.
"Isn't it always with you Cullens." I mumbled. He laughed lightly. I noticed he was driving slow. Well slow for him anyways, he was going the speed limit.
"Well this is new." I committed on my observation.
"What?" He looked puzzled.
"You driving the speed limit."
"I figured I'd be nice." He smiled a big smile.
"Well thank you." I looked out the window waiting for us to arrive at our destination.
And before I knew it we were parked near the pier on the beach. It was so beautiful. Edward got out of the car and ran to open my door. I got out.
"Follow me," he said while taking my hand. He walked and I followed. We reached the beach and there I saw a blanket spread out and some candles, which I didn't know how they stayed lit, and a picnic basket.
"Oh my god. It is beautiful! How did you do this?" I said in awe.
"Thank Alice and Jasper. They did it all." He said as he sat down on the blanket. I followed by sitting across from him.
We both ate our dinner really fast. We were both pretty hungry. I don't think I'd laughed that much in a really long time. Now we were on to desert. It was my favorite cupcakes. I decided to stick my finger in the icing and put it on Edwards jaw line. He just sat there frozen.
"Bella, you will pay for that," he said, ready to shove a cupcake in my face.
I screamed. "If I get it off do you promise not to do anything?" I pleaded with my hands guarding my face.
He thought for a moment. "Fine, only because you are to adorable."
I let down my hands. "Thank you. I'll get it off like I promised." I slowly crawled over to him. I got really close and slowly licked the icing off. When I was done I kissed his lips.
"I find that unfair." He said when he came back to reality.
"What?" I sat back in my spot.
"I mean really you just had to get it off that way." He said sarcastically.
I giggled and nodded. "How about this?" I took some icing and put it on my neck. "Now you lick it off."
He smiled and made his way over to me. He looked me into my eyes to make sure I was ok and I nodded. I laid on my back and stretched my neck up so he could reach it easier. He hovered over me making sure he didn't put any pressure on me. He slowly started licking it off. He kissed every part of my neck and it caused me to moan a bit. He sat back when he was done. I sat up and couldn't help but smile. I crawled over and sat in his lap. He put his arms around me and kissed my hair.
"I love you." I said close to a whisper.
"Always." He said and he intertwined his fingers with mine. We sat for a moment enjoying the piece. I listened to his heartbeat. "Let's clean up and we can walk the pier." I got out of his lap and we cleaned up and put the stuff in the car. We started walking the pier hand in hand. We walked in silence, a comfortable silence.
"It feels like we never missed a beat," I said truly happy.
He smiled and lifted my hand up to his face and kissed it. The view was breath taking. I'd seen it millions of times before but tonight it was different.
We stopped at the end of the pier and I let go of his hand and leaned against the railing. I closed my eyes and listened to the waves crushing against the beach. I took a deep breath and smelt the beautiful air. It smelt like summer. It smelt like a new beginning. I wanted to tell him about everything. I was ready.
"Can I talk to you about it?" I asked cautiously as I opened my eyes and looked at him.
"Of course." He said while turning to me and looking me deep into my eyes, like was searching for something.
"I don't know where to start." I said honestly.
"Any where you'd like." I looked away from his gaze and looked out to the ocean.
"I didn't think he'd do that, that's why I went with him. Obviously I should have listened to Christina." I continued to stare out. "The look in his eyes were like a predator hunting its prey. I knew fighting back did nothing but I had to try and stop him. He said that since I used him he was going to use me. It wasn't the John I dated. That guy was long gone. This was someone different." I stopped not knowing if I should continue. He grabbed my hand for comfort. I continued. I still looked out on the ocean. "The pain was like nothing I've felt before. After screaming and fighting back I just closed my eyes and cried knowing the fighting was useless. He thanked me when he was gone. I was afraid to open my eyes because I didn't want to see him. And now I don't want to close my eyes because he is there." I stopped. I couldn't talk anymore. Edward pulled me to his chest as I started crying.
"He will pay," Edward said pulling me closer. The tears fell harder. "Do you want to go home?" he asked when I calmed down a bit. I nodded. But I couldn't move. "I've got you." So like a little girl I wrapped my legs around his waist and put my head on his shoulder. He walked me to the car and then set me in the passenger seat. He buckled me in and then got in the driver side and he started his way back home. I wanted to close my eyes but I was afraid. I didn't want to see his face again.
When we got home I waited for him to get me so he could carry me inside like a little girl I felt so helpless.
"I'm sorry," I told him while he walked to the door.
"For what?" He was confused. He kicked the door so someone could open it.
"For needing you so much," someone opened the door and I heard a gasp. I continued as he walked inside, "I'm sorry for being a baby. I don't know what's wrong with me."
"Bella," he tried reasoning with me.
"I'm sorry, I said again. He put me on my bed.
"You have nothing to be sorry about. What happened to you was horrible. And I'm going to be here as long as you need me." He stroked my cheeks. I kissed him lightly. I had no response. I didn't deserve him. That is when I noticed everyone had just watched out little love episode. Alice was smiling, along with the rest of her family. Charlie looked lost.
"Hi guys," I said while Edward turned around and saw them. He chuckled. "Hey."
"You guys are just too cute!" Alice exclaimed.
"Get out!" I threw a pillow at them. They all laughed and walked out. "I love your family." I joked with Edward.
"They are your family too." He laughed.
"I don't claim them."
"Neither do I." We laughed.
"My dad looked scared." I said as I got off the bed.
"He didn't seem to happy," he said sadly.
" He's gonna have to get used to it because I love you and will forever and ever and ever." I said as I put my arms around his neck and brought his face close to mine. I got on my tiptoes and kissed him. He put his hands on my waist and kissed me back. Neither of us wanted to stop. So we kept going until someone cleared their throat. I looked and it was my dad.
"Oh hey dad." I let go of Edward.
"Um sorry to disturb you but we are watching a movie and we wanted to know if you guys wanted to join us." He said in a bitter voice.
" Ya. I'm just gonna get changed and we will be out," I told him but he just stood there.
"Well doesn't Edward need to change?" He asked. Edward knew that was his time to leave.
"Right. I'll go change and meet you with the others." He said uncomfortably and walked out the door. Charlie followed him.
I had to find something that would cover my bruises, well most of them. I couldn't hide them all. Some of them were going away. I stood there in just my bra and boy shorts and studied my poor excuse of a body. So many bruises even on my legs. The worst ones were on my ribs. I pressed the bruise and pain shot through me. The ones on my neck were starting to go away but they were still pronounced. My nose didn't look that bad. But the bruises on my face were very visible now that my make-up was coming off. I just touched every bruise.
I heard someone gasp and before looking I grabbed a blanket and covered myself. No one, not even Edward or Alice has seen my body. I dreaded to see who it was.
