The Time Traveler is proud to present her first Fan Fiction here on . She is really excited about this one. Three Cheers for Detective Conan!

The Time Traveler would like to point out that all these characters (except the bad guy) do not belong to her. They all belong to Aoyama Gosho-sama. The Time Traveler is in awe of the man's prolific-ness. She does not want any money, just fun reviews from the nice people who might read her stuff.

Warning: She loves couples, and making characters suffer. There will be no character death however!!! The Time Traveler insists upon a happy ending.

Enjoy!

Sitting in the darkness, the shadowed face split into a maniacal grin. The time for action was close, so very close. Rifling through the papers and documents littering the nearby table, the seeking hands found the sought-after photos after a few moments of searching. Happy smiling faces beam up at him, laughing at him with that smug assurance of youth and love. Two detectives, a karate champion, an aikido champion, a thief, an inspector's daughter, two police officers, an heiress, another karate champion, a third detective, and a witch How he hated them all. How he loved them all. They wouldn't be smiling soon. Soon, there would be screams and tears, pain and blood. Oh, how he loved a good show.

"Ran? Ran, come on. Please answer me." He raked his hands through his hair. "Please, Ran?"

There was an obstinate silence from behind the door that he was currently standing in front of. He sighed, knowing that he was in big trouble this time. "Ran…"

"Go away! I don't want to see you."

"Ran…"

"LEAVE!"

"Ran, I-"

"Leave me alone! Just go and do your job since it's so important that you accept it without a second thought! Damn the other plans, they aren't significant." This last statement was dripping with distain and borderline fury. Oh yeah, he was in a mountain of trouble.

"Ran, I'm so sorry, I forgot it was-"

"Oh, don't worry. It's just the date we have been planning for a month!!" The offender winced, the shrill tone of his girlfriend's voice biting into his eardrums.

"Koibito…" An awkward pause. "I'll make it up to you. I promise. It's just that-the notice just came about an hour ago-there's another heist tonight."

"I know." Her reply was soft, pained. "I know."

"Ran." Before he had realized it, the door was open and she was hugging him, burying her face in his chest. He could feel the shudders racing through her body and he tenderly wrapped his arms around her. The Detective of the East closed his eyes, clutching the one he loved.

"Please, please, be careful. You, of all people, know the things that have been happening at the Kid's heists recently."

"I promise, I will." He meant it.

"Shinichi, just come back, all right? Tell me you will come back."

"I'll come back, I promise."

"You had better…"

"Have I ever let you down before?" Looking up to see a grin on his face, she jabbed him in the arm playfully. She pretended to glare at him.

"Coulda fooled me."

He jutted out his lower lip, narrowing his eyes at her. "Oi, oi! I'm here now, aren't I?" Her gaze softened then, and a small smile graced her lips. His tone became lighter, less grumpy. "Do you want to go do something now? I know a nice little ramen stand near a park…" Her exasperated sigh put him on the defensive. "What?"

Shaking her head, and hiding a grin, Ran turned back into her room. "Men…"
