The power is out in Boston, and the shitty building manager hasn't been doing chimney maintenance. Jane is cold and alone on a winter's night, and as usual she makes a stupid decision.

Maura and the IT department have never gotten along.

Jane sprains her ankle and Maura takes care of her.

Maura and Jane keep getting caught in compromising positions. It would be awkward if they noticed.

Pre-series. Jane is working undercover in the drug unit at night, and there are girls disappearing from the streets. It's not her job, but Jane likes the girls she works with and feels a responsibility towards them. When the Angel of Death approaches, will Jane go quietly into that good night?

Maura knows Alexandra from work, but also from a bookclub she attends. Jane doesn't like to read the same kinds of books, so why do the other ladies always ask if Jane will come?
