As soon as I got the news of my mothers death the shocker came. I had move from my home in Pheinox to go live with my father in this rained out town called Foks. It was soo green and rainy that I bet that no one even went outside in fear of slipping. The only good thing that has come about this day is that school starts and I will finally be away from him, and his beatings. For every little thing, or just because. He has to hit me. I know I should tell someone. But if you lived with him then you would not want to either. As I got out of my old red truck, the only thing i like in this town, I started to walk to class. On the way there I ran into this beautiful bronzed haired boy. I stopped and waved at him as a friendly jester, but he didn't say anything at all when I looked closer I saw my reflection in two coal black eyes.

I didn't try to hide the fear in me when I cringed away. I then turned around and walked away as i silently tought to myself what could have provoked him to act that way. I took out my schedule, and read that I had english first. As i got to calss the bell rang i silently thanked god that that boy wasn't in my class. I introduced myself to the class much to my displeasure and then took my seat. As class ended i walked swiftly and sliently until i heard someone calling my name. I turned to look and the face of Mike Newton.

"Hey Mike," I say.

"Hey Isabella.

"Oh no call me Bella."

"Alright hey i was wondering what class you have next."

"Oh I have spanish next. Then don't we have lunch?"

"No we have 3rd then lunch. Hey you want to eat lunch with me and my friends?"

"Ok soo i'll see you at lunch. Bye Mike"

"Bye Bella!"

I start walking towards my next class down the hallway and stop dead in my tracks. About 20 feet away is the the bronzed haired boy with two other boys. One tall and muscular while the other is a tall one with honey colored hair. They were descussing something that I couldn't even hear over the comotion in the halways. I decided that I should keep walking. As i pasted them I saw the bonzed hair boy stiffen beside the others as they both put hands on his shoulders as if restraining him from something. As I kept walking I couldn't help but notice that they never moved from that spot. As soon as i got in my second period class i took a seat in the back of the class. I sat in the back next to this girl with curly brown hair. After class we stayed and chatted for a little while.

"Hey my name is Jessica Stanley."

"Bella."

"How about you come eat lunch with me?"

"Oh well i made plans already with someone."

"Oh who did you make plans with? If you don't mind me asking."

"Well i made pplans with my friend Mike."

"Oh well then you will be eating lunch with me after all. He sits with us."

"Ok well i'll see you after third. Bye."

People do seem nice in this little town now if it only didn't rain so much then Imight like it better. Third period when by like nothing.We hardly did anything. While everyone was talking I started on my favorite book made Weathering Heights. As lunch came around I found my new friends Mike and Jessica waiting at the door for me. We walked in together and sat down after they got food. I hardly eat because of not ever having money and just not being hungry. As I was looking around the cafeteria I found a table with the two guys that were holding back the bronzed haired boy and two ashonishingly beautiful girls. A blonde that would have any super modle beat with her figure and a small pixie like girl with short spiked black hair that fit her well. From the way that they walked look like dancing and would deffentily make any ballariena jealious. As they all sat and started talking i couldn't help but notice how beautiful they all looked. All too soon I was pulled away from looking at them by Jessica starting to talk.

"Who are they?"

"Those are the Cullens."

"The big one is Emmett Mcarthy ."

"The tall one is Jasper Hale ."

"The shortest one is Alice Cullen ."

"The blonde is Rosalie Hale ."

"And there is one more, but i don't see him his name is Edward Cullen ."

"Are they all brothers and sisters?"

"They were adopted by Doctor Cullen and his wife. Hey are all together too. Jasper and Alice, Rosalie and Emmett, but Edward is by himself he doesn't date."

I sat there for the rest of the lunch period staring at them. As the bell rang we all got up and went our separate ways and said goobye. My fourth period was Biology. As i got into the classroom I nothiced that Edward was here in my class. As the teacher made me introduce myself to the class. He directed me to the only chair that they had and it was the one that he was in. Class went by in a daze all I could think about was why he had avoided me all day and now as I sat mext to him. As soon as the bell rang he left quickly and i thought i was seeing things until I noticed that he was gone. I packed up my stuff and prepeared myself for what was to come as I came home.
