Me: "Hey everybody, small announcement; THANK YOU for those who did review, if you haven't, just press the go button below. O yeah; I do not own Pokemon in any way."

This is my last day of vacation, tomorrow school is going to begin again. I'm starting in the 4th class of middle school, but since I guess none of you get the Dutch school-system, you can say I've started high-school

Chapter 5: The impact on a life

"Liked her?" May sputtered. She had been drinking while Solidad said this and now she was choking on it. She had heard it before from Solidad, but back then she was still May; now she was Sora.

Solidad laughed warmly and nodded; "Yes, liked her, maybe even loved her."

May must have looked confused because Solidad started explaining; "Drew admired May's way of coordinating and had deeply respect for her. Sometimes he couldn't stop talking about her for hours. He sometimes would even regret teasing her. At least; that's what he told me"

Solidad chuckled; "However, when he gave her roses and she would smile at him, it made his whole day. And then May..."

May suddenly paid even more attention (as far as that was possible)

"She always blushed when she got one of the roses, and even though she could be quite mad at him, she used to say good things about him."

Solidad chuckled again; "Both of them never said it or admitted in the slightest way, heck they always used to deny profusely, but it was pretty clear they had a crush on each other"

May forced down a blush and had to restrain herself form saying she didn't like Drew. That would get her in a bit awkward position.

"They traveled as friends through Johto and even though they were still rivals, they weren't that competitive towards each other anymore", she laughed warmly again.

"It was kind of cute to see and everyone thought they would be together forever ((A/N No pun intended)) and it wouldn't take that long anymore before Drew would ask her out"

She raised her hands when May wanted to protest; "I know, they hadn't admit but still..." her gaze strayed through the window and she looked at two Ledian, who were clearly interested in each other. May blushed when she realized what Solidad was thinking and was for the first time glad her face was burned.

"They seemed so made fore each other" Solidad continued. "And when May went home, everybody thought it was only a matter of time before they would be going on a journey together again" she shoke her head "we were so wrong"

She leaned with her elbows on the table and suddenly seemed very tired and May dared to say old.

" A few weeks later we read that May quit, in a magazine" Solidad shook her head again, sadly this time.

"I was the one who gave Drew the article to read and I have never seen him that way. I've seen him sad and crying when he lost his first contest. I've seen him angry, at May that is, but never like this."

Solidad shivered and May figured it was probably a horrible memory. And she had caused it.

"At first he didn't want to believe me. He stood there shaking, the magazine crumpled up in his hand. He asked if it was some kind of sick joke. But I told him I asked the publisher, who had said he heard it from May herself"

Solidad looked now more tired than ever.

"It was terrible, he looked devastated. He couldn't even cry because he was too angry. He couldn't be angry because he wanted to cry. He was totally stuck" Solidad said to a shocked May, she knew she had made an impact on Drew; that he'd said before, but never this much.

Solidad continued sadly; "he tried to solve it his way; on his own. He has never accepted help from anyone and didn't do that this time either. He ran away from me and not long after that I heard him scream. He had gone to an open field where he thought he was alone, with sadly enough roses around him. He was screaming in agony. Tears were streaming over his face and I guess it really hurt him"

Solidad sighed. "He tried to find her, but she seemed to be disappeared from the earth. No-one knew where she was. He had even asked Ash..."

Solidad smiled, realizing the girl Sora didn't know Ash, "Ash is a former travel-companion of May; he's now hard on his way to be the youngest Pokemon-master ever. I believe Drew was jealous of Ash of the relation those two had, he couldn't see those two were just friends." Solidad explained.

"Anyway, Drew had even asked Ash if he knew where she was, and that was quite a thing as I explained before. But Ash didn't know it either. After that, Drew went to May's father, the Petalburg-gymleader, but the said person didn't want to tell anything"

May was not completely surprised; her parents had tried to keep the world away from her as much as possible.

"After that he tried 3 or 4 contests but he lost them all, and the worst was, he didn't even seem to care about it"

Solidad looked outside again and frowned; "That was the strangest I had ever seen when it comes to him and I know him quite a lot of years now, he had always cared about contests, but when I asked him, he shrugged it away. Not long after that he decided to quit too"

Solidad looked at May, who had tears in her eyes and explained it once again wrong;

"A sad story huh? When I visited him about 1,5 years ago he was back in LaRousse and was home, taking care of his little brothers and sisters. But I guess he has been getting over it and he wants to do contests again, because here he is" Solidad smiled.

"Do you believe he will completely forget her?" May asked. She hoped that if he would forget her, it might not bite as much, knowing she had hurt him that badly

Solidad shook her head, "No I don't think he'll forget her, heck I don't even think she'll ever leave his mind and I guess he'll keep searching for her. But one thing I do know for sure, he will learn to live with it" Solidad said before she looked outside.

"Oh it's so late already, I think I have to go now", she stood up and turned to May smiling

"Thank you Sora, for listening to my story. I've been with it on my mind a pretty long time and I didn't want to tell it to just a random person"

She smiled and stroke May's hair from her face, revealing the scar; "I guess I could tell you because I can see you've been through pretty much either".

She smiled one more time kindly at May; "Oh, and Sora..." she asked, looking over her shoulder; "Please don't tell Drew you know this, he deserves a new beginning too", she said softly.

May nodded and Solidad walked away.

"Oh, Drew, I'm so sorry, if I only could tell you" May muttered before she stood up too, and went to her room.

She looked at the closed door of Drew's room, and figured he had to be in there.

"I never wanted you would cry because of me"

She closed her own door and pulled her wig of her head, revealing her now waist-long brown hair and looked in the mirror.

She saw tears streaming over her face and touched her wrinkled skin, her scar that destroyed her life.

"I'm so sorry"
