Me: "Hey everybody"

May: "We've finished the contest, what are we going to do now"

Drew: "Finishing the story with something like '...and they both went their own ways, to never meet again'"

May: "I didn't know you could write, Drew"

Drew: "There's a whole lot more you don't know about me"

Me: "HELLO!! I'm still here! Sheesh, get a room!

Drew: "..."

Me: "Besides, you are partially right Drew, I want to finish this story, but it will take a while."

Drew: "Sure, you always say, this will end soon, and then we have to do more than 6 chapter already"

Me: "...heh..."

Drew: (sweatdrop) "You have written more than 12 chapters already"

May: "Apparently she did"

Me: "Shut up, I want that chapter running. I do not own Pokemon or the characters, though The region, the city's and professor Kardi are mine"

Chapter 12: A huge Mistake.

Before she left next morning, May decided to call Max first.

"Hey Max" she said when his head appeared on the monitor.

"Hey May, before you start there are some people who want to congratulate you" he said and disappeared from the screen. Instead she saw Blaziken, Munchlax and Max' Pokemon holding up a sign with congratulations written on it.

They were blowing on toy-trumpets and all together it was a cheerful mess.

Tears formed in her eyes.

"Of course they asked me to write it. Sometimes a psychic bond your Pokemon is really useful" Max grinned.

"Thank you, so much" May said

"And of course my congratulations as well, you were awesome. You did kick some some ass" Max said and May smiled. "I was really nervous, but no-one said something about my scar"

"Why would anyone say something 'bout you scar?" a voice said from behind. Max eyes widened and May quickly turned around.

"It's about your Pokemon, not you" Drew said smirking.

He then suddenly noticed who she was talking too, and his eyes widened in shock; "Max, is that you?" he asked hoarse.

"Uhm, Sora, gotta go. Mum's calling me" Max said hastily and the screen went off.

Drew's gaze shifted to May. "Sora...that was Max you were speaking with" he said icily calm.

And that moment May knew everything was wrong.

"...yeah..."

Drew grabbed her arms tightly and May winced under the force of his grip.

"Max is the little brother of May and you had his number all along?!" he said, still in that icily cold voice.

May whimpered when Drew grabbed her arms even tighter.

"When you knew this all along, why did you ask further about me and May, when I could have done the same to you?!"

May winced again; the hurt in his voice was now too obvious.

"Because Max told me you once traveled with her" she lied, hoping he wouldn't see directly through it.

He let go.

"Do you know where she is?" he asked his voice deadly calm again.

"No, I..."

"do you even know what happened to her please, please tell me". Drew continued asking, and he couldn't completely hide the tone of despair in his voice.

"No, I'm..." But Drew cut her off again.

"You know I have searched for her everywhere! I'm no idiot, I know you've been talking to Solidad!" he spat, releasing the tiniest amount of anger he held inside.

"Did you even bother asking Max!!" he yelled.

May winced for the third time. "He didn't want to tell me!!" May yelled back.

Drew suddenly became silent, his hair blacking his eyes so it was impossible to tell his emotion.

"I see, once again, nobody can tell me..." he turned around abruptly and was gone in a second.

May fell to the ground and sat there, tears rolling over her face. Her arms hurt but not as much as her guilt was eating her. She felt so horrible for lying to Drew.

She stood up and grabbed her PokeNav and texted Max with what had happened.

She left from the Pokecenter and left the city.

May thought she might as well started heading to Elub city as soon as possible. There wasn't anything left for her in Geren.

Meanwhile, Drew had cooled down, and he now felt kinda guilty he had shouted at Sora. 'I mean she did nothing wrong, except not knowing where May was and that I can hardly blame her' he thought.

He hated the feeling he couldn't do anything.

He suddenly remembered he actually could do something; 'if I only could remember the name of that book Sora carried; wasn't it 8 years of Coordinators?' Drew pondered, and went to the one place he knew for sure had the book; the Library.

On his previous strays through the city he had seen the building a couple of times, so he found it easily.

It was silent in the great halls and whispering he asked where he could find the book.

The Liberian pointed uninterested with her head to a section and the book was found soon.

"Aren't you Drew Hayden?" a man's voice said.

Drew looked around but saw no-one. "A bit lower please" he said; "Can't believe it's the second time in a week's span" he muttered.

Drew eyed the strange; "Yes I am, but how do y..." he wanted to ask but the man waved it away

"I follow contests a few years already"

Drew cocked his brow; "What's the deal with me?" he asked.

The man signed to follow; "My name is Professor Kardi by the way" he introduced himself, but Drew didn't really care about it.

After all, he just came here for information about...

"I take it you're still searching for May Maple?" The professor asked, interrupting Drew's thoughts. He did have Drew's attention now.

"I'm sorry to say, but that's none of your business, sir" Drew said as polite he could.

The Professor cocked his brow; "what were you doing in the coordinator section then? Not looking for new combinations I hope?"

Drew had to admit Kardi got him there; "Okay then, Yes I was indeed trying to find information about her. A friend of mine carried a book with all coordinators in it and I..."

The man chuckled; "...and you were going to see if there were any hints?" Kardi's voice sounded mockingly, which Drew didn't like at all. Meanwhile they had arrived in a dusty room Drew assumed was his office

"In fact I was yeah" he said. Drew was about to lose his patience with the man.

"I'm sorry to add one more disappointment to those you already have had, but in the book Sora carried there is nothing more than you already know"

"How do you S..."

The man raised his hand; "how do I know Sora? She came by a few days ago and I'm glad I could speak you before you left as well"

Drew frowned; "What do I have to do with Sora?"

The man chuckled and sat down in his chair and lay a book open on the desk for Drew to read. Drew quickly scanned the page and read what it said. It was the tale of some creature called Vovori

"More than you know" the professor said, answering his earlier question.

"Wha..." Drew wanted to ask but the Professor shook his head; "Please don't ask. She asked me not to tell and I won't but I want you to keep an eye on her. I'm afraid she might do something very stupid"

Drew stood up; "Thank you for your time, but I guess Sora can take care of herself"

Professor Kardi shook his head again; "Please do this one thing" he pleaded. "Besides, she might be the only one who could tell you where to find May"

Drew blinked, and left, to continue to Elub-city.

Professor Kardi sighed; "I'm sorry Drew, I wish I could have told you"

Me: "That was it for today"

Drew: "Hnn, It was one crappy chapter"

Me: "Why, thank you Drew"

Drew: "You're welcome"

Me; "(sigh) Alright, I hope you guys did like it, and of course review"

May: "REVIEW!!"

Drew: "As if..."

May: "Shut up Drew"
