CHAPTER 7

The next morning Kiba slowly opened his eyes but woke with a shock when he noticed that his mate (Kaia) wasn't with him quickly getting up he grabbed his pants and put them on he then ran towards the window and leaped out landing perfectly on the ground Kiba looked around quickly ran in front of the house he looked around quickly worried about Kaia. He looked to the left and sighed with relief when he saw her sitting underneath the cheery blossom wearing a silk pink robe and her hair blowing with the wind. Kaia who noticed him looked over at him and gave him a smile, Kiba smiled back and walked over to her. "Hey good morning sleeping beauty, how did you sleep Kiba?" Kaia asked, Kiba sat behind her placing one leg on both of her sides and his arms wrapped around her waist. Kaia blushed when she felt him nuzzle his mouth into her neck where the teeth marks were he did this with a smile on his face.
"I slept fine but slept even better knowing that my mate was in my arms. By the way when did you get up I didn't even notice you were gone until I woke up just a few minutes ago." Kaia blushed at his words but smiled and leaned her back into him resting her back and her head on his chest as Kiba held her close to him with his hand on top of her waist. She smiled at him "When I got up you were still asleep after all that good work you did last night I wanted you to get some more sleep. I came out here to pick some flowers but I guess I wanted to look at the view first." Kaia said, with a blush on her face she looked up at Kiba she then giggled a little when she noticed he also had a blush on his face he then looked down at her and kissed her gently as a smirk appeared on his face. "So then I was good last night you enjoyed it that much huh." Kiba said with a chuckle, Kaia smiled and giggled again "You were wonderful Kiba." Kaia said with a smile she tried to sit up but hissed in pain Kiba gave her a concerned look. "What's wrong?" Kiba asked, Kaia just shook her head "Its nothing please don't worry about it Kiba." Kaia said but Kiba wasn't buying it he saw her hold the silk robe over her neck and shoulder, gently pushing her hand away Kiba lowered the silk robe just until her shoulder and neck were showing. He saw the two bite marks her left behind the one on the side over her neck was deep but stopped bleeding and the one on her shoulder had already closed but not completely. Kiba sighed and touched the bite marks with his fingers, "I'm sorry….I didn't mean to hurt you like this Kaia." Kiba said as he looked down at the marks but Kaia sighed and looked back at him with a smile on her face. "Its ok Kiba they're your marks if they were anybody else's I would mind but they're yours so I could care less if they hurt." Kaia said Kiba smiled back at her.
Kiba removed his fingers from the marks and began to kiss each tooth mark and lick the dry blood off of her. Kaia blushed and bit her bottom lip she reached her hand out in back of her and placed it behind Kiba's neck as she tilted her head allowing him to continue and continue he did. Kiba's hand roamed up her body and cupped her chin turning her face towards his, he looked at her blushing face and licked her lips asking for entrance Kaia looked up at him and opened her mouth it didn't take him long to slid his tongue into her mouth and devoured her lips and mouth. Kaia blushed when he parted his lips from hers but still had his tongue swirled around with her tongue. Kaia not being the type that enjoys being teased grabbed a hold of Kiba's shoulders and pulled him closer to her so they're lips connected again. Kiba gave an amused smirk and continued to kiss her while she returned the kiss. Once the kiss ended they both looked at the meadow view, Kaia sighed.
"Kiba…"
"Hm?" He replied
"You know back then before I even met you my grandmother had theses old books with pictures in them. The pictures showed of a place where its always summer and had a meadow with lots of grass and beautiful flowers and trees. Along with animals like birds, deer's and other animals to me that was paradise a place without worrying about everything. I loved looking through those books because I would always imagine me living there with the people I love and we live a happy and peaceful life there, but knew that we never could, I never could until I met you. This place looks like the pictures in the book, Kiba do you think this is paradise?" Kaia asked as she looked out into the meadow.
"Paradise….there is a place called paradise for wolfs and I've heard that so many wolfs went out to search for paradise but they either came back empty handed or didn't come back at all. I wanted to be the one to open paradise but on they way I fell into some trouble. When you found me I was just passing through and my plan was to leave when you were gone but I couldn't leave I wanted to stay with you a little longer. Staying with you brought joy and excitement to my life Kaia. Kaia paradise is a place that you are able to be free and do as you please and be with the people who you want to be with. Kaia for so many years I've searched for paradise and after spending the time I did with you I realized something. You are my paradise Kaia you were when I first met you and you still are till this very day." Kiba said as he kissed her head. Kaia blushed by his choice of words and smiled as she placed her hands over the arms that were around his waist. The two looked at the view of they're new home the silence broke when Kaia's stomach began to growl along with Kiba's stomach growl. Kaia giggled "Oh we're hungry well I'll go and fix us up something to eat then." Kaia said as she got up Kiba removed his arms from her waist and allowed her to stand and walk back into the house. He sighed and looked back at the view the wolfs paradise that he heard of was a place a wolf didn't have to worry about being hunter or killed a place where there endless amount of food and were the wolf species wasn't extinct but continued on living. Sighing and smiling he looked back at the house where Kaia was cooking the food. Was this paradise was this the place that he's been searching for so many years. Yes this was paradise his paradise and he knew that this was also Kaia's paradise. After the meal was cooked and eaten the two wandered around the area hand in hand. (I know it sounds mushy but bare with me here its going to get better soon.) As Kaia walked next to Kiba at first she smiled but then a smirk curled on her lips, she gave a small push to Kiba with her shoulder and ran out in front of him while laughing, stopping at a hill she looked back at a surprised Kiba she smiled at him "Silly Kiba come on try to catch mer." Kaia stuck out her tongue at Kiba to try to taunt him, it worked.
Kiba smirked and began to run towards Kaia "HA ha you better run for it Kaia!" Kiba said and Kaia began to run out in front of him smiling and laughing as she looked over her shoulder to see Kiba still chasing her. With one leap Kiba pounced on Kaia and the two rolled down a hill and landed in a patch of different flowers Kiba on top of her, Kiba began to laugh and so did Kaia she brought her head up and caught his lips with hers gently kissing him. Kiba closed his eyes and returned the kiss to her but instead of sliding his tongue into her mouth his eyes shot open when he felt that it was Kaia begging for entrance, opening his mouth to let her enter Kaia slide her tongue into his mouth and they're tongue's battled. After they're kiss Kiba laid his head on her chest and sighed as she wrapped him within her arms. Kiba quickly shot his head up and now took his wolf form. He stood up breaking the hugging embrace from Kaia. She looked up at Kiba a bit surprised "What's the matter Kiba what is it?" She asked and then looked over in the direction that Kiba was looking at. "Hey Kaia how much meat do we have left?" Kiba as still looking off in the same direction "Hm I think about well…actually we don't have a lot left." Kaia said still confused on what he was looking at. Kiba looked at her and gave her a wolfish smirk. "I'll be right back with some more meat. For now head back to the house don't go into town with out me alright." Kiba said still looking at her, Kaia nodded her head and stood up. "Alright don't be gone for to long now alright Kiba." Kaia said with a nod from Kiba he took off running into the woods. As Kaia stood up she grabbed some flowers that she saw on the tree.
Carrying a hand full she walked back to the house and placed the flowers in an old vase that she found she filled the face with some water that she had in the sink. Sighing at when she saw that they were out of water she grabbed wooden barrel and rolled it to the stream that was far from the water fall she and Kiba were the only two who knew the area better then anybody in the village. Tying a rope through the two holes on the top of both sides of the barrel she threw the rope over a tree branch and tied the end around the tree she then dumped the barrel into the stream the rope was so the barrel didn't sink into the stream or float away into the stream. Waiting for the barrel to fill with water Kaia sat on the floor with her legs bent at her side she saw a flower and picked it up at first she sniffed it and then began to trace her fingers on the pedals as she sang a lala by
"I don't know what words I can say the wind has a way to talk to me. Flowers sleep a client lalaby I pray for reply Im reaaaaaaadyyyyy. Quiet days caaaallllmmms me oh cerenity someone please tell me ohhhhhh mmmmmm what is it they saw they say maybe I will know one day."
Not then a minute latter Kaia heard someone's voice she looked in front of her thinking it was Kiba but after hearing the voice a second a time she realized that it wasn't Kiba. Quickly getting up she went over to the tree untying the rope and pulling the barrel out of the water she then quickly tied the rope around the barrel and created straps like a book bag. She then placed a lid over the barrel's top and shut it tightly then placed the barrel on her back. Almost loosing her balance she grabbed a hold of the tree to get her balance back.
"Hello is anybody there?" the voice
called out, as Kaia was about to leave she looked back after hearing
the sound of the bushes rustle then a man came out from the bushes.
He looked to be around Kaia's age or a bit older like Kiba the man
looked at Kiba wide eyed as a small blush crossed his face. Kaia
looked back at the man and examined him he was fit and had black hair
and black eyes and around his forehead was a red bandana he had a red
shirt and baggy pants.
"U-Uh h-hi there." He said stuttering
his words a bit
Kaia being somewhat polite replied back "Hello are you lost?" she asked
"Um…actually I wanted to break the rules around my village and decided to jump the gate so did you think the same thing. Hey by the way my name is John what's your name?" Asked John Kaia just looked at him then turned her head to leave. "I'm sorry but I really need to get going." Kaia said but she heard John call out to her "No wait please ok I…um I am lost you wouldn't by any chance know which way it is back to the village do you." He asked Kaia turned back around and looked at him then pointed to behind him. "If you go through there just keep going straight then you'll hit the gate you can either follow it till you reach the door to the gate or you can jump it." Kaia turned to leave again but again she heard him call out to her. "Hey wait!" John called, alright at that point she was getting annoyed. "What is it I really need to get going." She said "What are you doing out here anyway didn't you hear the rumors about the wolf that lives out here?" John said looking at Kaia. Kaia's eyes widened how did they know about Kiba so she played stupid.
"A wolf? Come on you and I both know that wolfs have been extinct for 200 years what makes you think that they're one living out here and for your information no I haven't seen any wolfs out here I live out here alone." Kaia said now getting pissed off. "Well last night people in the village heard a howl coming from the forest the howl was heard when the moon was in the sky. Are you sure you haven't seen anything out here?" John asked, Kaia blushed and thought back to when Kiba howled, he did howl pretty loud last night she didn't imagine the howl could be heard from the village she looked at John and shook her head. "Listen if I told you once I'll tell you a second time there are no wolfs out here I'm the only one out here!" Kaia said as she splashed a rock into the water making the water splash into Johns face. She took this chance to run into the forest and back to the house. She ran without stopping and looked over her shoulders to make sure that he did follow her even if he did there was no way that he could keep up with her through the different paths she took. She finally stopped running after reaching the house door and dropped onto her knees the barrel on her back and the rope on top of her shoulders began to leave marks on her skin removing the rope from her shoulder she looked at her wounds. They didn't look bad nothing water and a bandage couldn't fix. Dabbing a cloth with water and going up stairs where the bandages were she whipped away the fresh and dried blood around her wound. After cleaning her wounds she wrapped the bandages on the wounds.
"Kaia I'm home I brought some meat." Kiba said Kaia quickly threw the cloth into her book bag and put the left over bandages into the box. As Kiba walked into the room he stopped and looked at Kaia who was putting on a don't worry smile. "Hey there Kiba how was your hunt what did you catch?" She asked Kiba raised an eye brawl and sniffed the air in the room. "Caught a deer…hey Kaia are you ok?" Kiba asked as he looked at her, Kaia nodded her head but Kiba wasn't buying it. "Did you hurt your self?" He asked but Kaia shook her head "No I'm fine really Kiba don't worry about me." She said but Kiba walked over to her and sniffed her scent 'Blood' he thought he slowly took off the buttoned sweater and slid her tops sleeve and slid it down and off her shoulder. Kiba's eyes widened when he saw the bandages and the blood that was still leaking out of them. He quickly began to lick the blood away as Kaia looked down at the floor sighing. "I told you not to worry about them they'll heal soon." Kaia said as Kiba continued to lick the blood away
"Kaia how did this happen?" He asked
"I just went to go and get some water that's all and the ropes began to leave marks on my skin I'll be fine." She said
"I told you not to leave the house when I'm not with you." He said
Kaia sighed "I know but we needed the water and since you went out to hunt for the food I went to go and get the water I don't want to just sit home and do nothing all day but worry about you." She said
When Kiba ended his licking on her shoulders he wrapped the bandages good and tight on her shoulder, he then hugged her. "I know you want to help Kaia but I don't want you to hurt your self while doing it just let me worry about the things that need to get done around here if anything were to happen to you I don't know what I'll do." Kiba said as he nuzzled his head into her neck. Kaia blushed and hugged him back wrapping her arms under his shoulders and up to his shoulders holding him. Kiba looked at her and hugged her closer to him. "Kiba don't turn into her wolf form when you go out side please…" She said Kiba could hear through her voice that she was worried about something, asking him not to turn back into his original form was like asking him not to even leave the house at all. "How come?" He asked a bit curious about her request she sighed again and dug her face into his shoulder. "Please just don't turn into her wolf form when your out side Kiba please." Kaia asked almost begging Kiba sighed and nodded his head as he kissed her shoulder "Before I say yes tell me why you don't want me in my original form out side the house?" Kiba asked but looked at Kaia when he felt her hands squeezing the dark gray jacket that he wore that she gave him. "Kiba….they….they heard your howl last night…they heard it all the way to the village and one of them came into the forest to look for you I met him at the water fall he told me everything but I told him that I lived out here alone I didn't want him to bring back anybody so I ran and that's why the ropes dug so deep into my shoulder. Kiba please don't turn into your wolf form out side the house we have a life here because no one knows that you're a wolf and I want it to stay that way. I want to live a safe life with you Kiba so please don't turn into your wolf form out side the house until they given up the idea that there is a wolf out here. " Kaia said.
Kiba went wide eyed again they heard his howl but he didn't want to agree to her request but her could hear the desperation in her voice. He sighed and broke the hug and cupped her cheek . Kaia placed her hand over the hand that cupped her cheek and looked up at Kiba. Sighing he nodded his head "Alright….fine but until they've given up the idea alright." Kiba said and Kaia smiled at him "Thank you Kiba….thank you." Kiaia then kissed him and he kissed back. It was a few days since Kiba and Kaia had sex and as the sun went down on one day Kaia and kiba had already cut up the deer although Kaia did feel like she was going to gag a few times because of the smell and the awful smell of the dead animal but Kiba looked like he really didn't mind the smell when the disgusting part was over she placed the meat in air lock containers so the meat didn't spoil to fast. That night Kiba took Kaia up on top of the roof to look at the stars in the sky. Kaia rested her head on his shoulder Kiba kissed her head looked up at the sky.
"Hey Kiba…"
"Hm?" he replied
"Do you remember when you told me that you'll always be there to protect me?" She asked
Kiba chuckled and looked at her "Don't I tell you that all the time Kaia?" He said, Kaia giggled
"Yeah your right but…will you protect…the both of us?" Kaia asked with a blush on her face
At that time looked at her not knowing what she was trying to tell him, Kaia smiled at him and gently grabbed his hand and gently pressed it against her stomach.
"Will you protect me and…him…or her? I'm not sure who's sleeping inside of me Kiba." Kaia said with a blush on her face.
Kiba went wide eyed for the third time now getting the idea what she was trying to tell him "K-Kaia…are…are you telling me that….y-your…you mean that.." Kiba began and Kaia blushed a little darker as she slowly nodded her head at his question. When she looked at Kiba he was just looking at her Kaia couldn't tell weather he was mad or happy he was unreadable Kaia looked down but looked back up when she felt him hug her. "K-Kiba?" Kaia asked but Kiba continued to hug her "I…I cant believe it…that…I'm going…to soon be…a dad." Kiba said Kaia hugged him back and was surprised by his actions. "So wait Kiba your happy that I'm pregnant?" Kaia asked Kiba broke the hug and looked at her. "Are you kidding me Kaia of course I'm happy did you think that I would be angry?" Kiba asked Kaia didn't say anything but look up at him 'he is happy oh thank god.' She thought to her self Kiba saw the tear and whipped it away. "I would never be mad to know that your having my baby Kaia." Kiba said Kaia smiled at him as more tears followed she then hugged him and he hugged back. That night as the two laid in the bed Kiba rested his head on her lap in his wolf form nuzzling his head gently into her stomach.
"I wonder what it will be a boy or a girl?" He asked as he looked up at Kaia who face turned a little red
"W-well I'm not sure…I'm only a couple of weeks into the pregnancy so we wont know until the day comes." Kaia said as she looked down at the white wolf.
Kiba smiled at her "If it's a girl she'll be as beautiful and strong as her mother and if it's a boy then he'll be strong and a good hunter like his father. But…" Kiba began but then raised his head in his human form and brought his lips close to Kaia's making her blush. "But it all depends on what you truly want our child to be Kaia." Kiba said as he kissed his mate passionately on the lips. After the kiss ended he turned back into his wolf form and rested his head back on her lap, smiling Kaia gently began to pet him on the head and began to hum a soft melody then she began to sing a lullaby Kiba looked up at her knowing the lullaby "The lullaby for wolfs. (Cheza's song)" How did Kaia know that song? It didn't matter to Kiba he loved how she sang it to him he rested his head back down on her lap and soon fell asleep she then followed him into the sleep.
