(Hey everyone I was able to see the Announcement trailer with the Kingdom Hearts 20th anniversary and and seeing the development footage of Kingdom Hearts VI. And let me tell you it's got me so inspired that I spent this time since watching it to write the first chapter of this story in response to the challenge Spiderfan626 sent where he teams up with other people instead of Donald and Goofy (Whom I have great respect for). And the group I decided to have Sora team up with is the Justice League from the DCAU/"Earth 12" created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm.

Disclaimer: I do not own anything that is related to either Kingdom Hearts or Justice League they are the properties of their respective owners.

Please Read, Review, and Enjoy!)

It was supposed to be the greatest thing that had ever happened for Sora and his best friends, Riku & Kairi, on Destiny Islands. The three of them were supposed to just go to bed, rest up, and then set sail the next morning so that they could find the other worlds, one of which being the home of the lone girl of their trio of best friends. Finally, after all the years of just sitting around on the islands of their small world, just pretending to go on grand quests, the three of them would be having a real adventure, just like they had always dreamed of doing ever since they had come together as friends. So how, on the eve of their voyage, did it all go so wrong, right to the point where their dream of adventure had been completely turned around into a nightmare?

Young Sora was not quite sure what had happened. One minute he was in his bed having a hard time getting to sleep both because he was so excited for what was coming the next day and because of some things his friend and "secret" crush Kairi had talked to him about earlier that day before they left for home. The next minute, a storm seemed to have rolled in, and he was heading out the window and over to the island that he and his friends would always play on to make sure that the raft they had worked so hard on was not harmed by the storm.

At least, Sora thought it was a storm, until he had arrived on the island and looked up at the sky to see what looked like a giant orb of shadows hanging directly above the island. He paid it little mind though when he noticed that both Kairi and Riku's boats were at the dock as well, and his friends quickly became a higher priority for him. He barely paid that much attention to the strange, shadowy creatures that suddenly rose from the ground around him, aside from running away from them, and he did not stop running until he located each of his friends, only to lose them again due to mysterious circumstances seconds later. What happened next was so hard to believe that Sora was sure that you would have to have been there to believe it, because he ended up fighting a giant monster that appeared to be made of shadows on what could only be described as the ruins of his home, which were now floating high up in the air while everything around him was drawn into the slowly growing, dark orb. The only thing stranger than the monster and the location of his battle, was the weapon he had to use against the beast.

He had no idea where it had come from or how he got it, but Sora was just glad that, unlike his toy sword made of wood, this mysterious sword was able to destroy the dark creatures easily. He still had little to no idea as to why it was shaped like a giant skeleton key with a gold guard, silver blade and teeth, and black handle though. The teeth of the key-sword were shaped like the crown symbol that Sora wore around his neck, making Sora even more confused as to just what kind of sword this thing was to begin with. That mystery was just a minor thing for Sora at the time, because just when it seemed like he was going to be able to deal with the monster that was apparently destroying his home, he got pulled up into the dark orb as well, and promptly passed out seconds after going through and landing on what felt like cold concrete.

Batman had followed the supposed scientists from one of the deep space monitoring network stations enter an abandoned building that was previously owned by Star Labs, one of the most highly advanced laboratories in Metropolis. Even though its Superman's home turf, Batman was determined to find out who these people are and stop them. And six months ago, the saboteurs were shown to be not as human as he originally thought. The language they spoke was not something he had knowledge of or learned, the strength they displayed while fighting him atop of the Wayne Tech satellite dish outside of Metropolis and the fact they jumped from the top of the dish and survived (Much less put themselves back together as thought it was nothing) made the Dark Knight believe that there's more going on than he previously thought. After finally getting a lead, Batman was ready to find the truth that he suspects was hiding.

Landing silently inside Batman surveyed the area before seeing the same device that the saboteurs used six months ago to blow up the dish. lightly running his finger over it, Batman felt that it was some sort of organic material but hard like bone structure to be a machine. Hearing a sound, Batman turned and saw the office's lights were on. Two of the saboteurs, the balding man and the woman exited and the man spoke with that same language before she shut off the light and left the building.

Having his instincts acting up again, Batman went to see what they were doing in there. Once he approached the door, Batman turned on his flashlight and scanned the room. It was a normal office, by how it looked, until Batman turned the light to the side and was inwardly shocked to see the three people who were at the dish six months ago contained in some sort of cacoon-like pod. Batman went to investigate, cutting one of the people out to check their vitals. The found a pulse, faint, but alive.

He then heard a groan, a younger than expected groan. Turning Batman found a boy, around the same age as Robin, laying there with a unconscious. Studying his features, batman saw that he had spiky brown hair, wearing a red jumpsuit with puffy shorts and a zipper that runs down the entire front. He also had on a black and white jacket over top, large yellow shoes, white finger-less gloves with yellow and blue straps holding on a silver circle plate, a blue belt with chains hanging off, and a silver crown necklace around his neck.

'Why isn't he like the others?' Batman thought as he went to investigate, this was too suspicious of being coincidence that the two before didn't spot him when they were last in here. Batman then lightly shook him, "Hey, wake up."

Sora laid there for what felt like forever until he heard a muffled voice and a gentle shake trying to wake him up. Sora, completely exhausted and still sleepy wanted to sleep, but slowly began to stir.

Sora groaned as he blinking opened his eyes, looked and saw a Bat-like man with glowing white eyes, and a scowl on his face. Sora groaned, "I must be dreaming…"

Only for the creature to say, with a deep voice, shaking him a bit, "It's not a dream…"

The boy then gasped, fully awake., "This isn't a dream!"

He then saw that the Bat-man creature was actually a man dressed up as a bat who then asked, "Who are you? What are you doing here? Why weren't you in those pods like the others?"

Sora paused before he looked and saw the over weighed man on the ground, groaning while the other two were in some sort of pods, began, "I… I don't…

The two heard a growl before Batman shined his light and saw a dog, teeth bared as it growled at the two. The dog then pounced barking as it pounced on the man. Sora watched helplessly as the man grabbed the dog by the neck while to prevent it snapping its teeth at him. Batman then pushed the dog off him with his legs.

The Dog flew hitting the desk, knocking it over, the dog however was unharmed as it shook it off and landed on its feet and kept growling. Turning to the younger man who was scared of what to do.

The Dog barked rushing at the boy. Batman quickly dove and pushed the kid as the two fell and the dog's head went through the plaster wall.

Holding onto the boy, Batman then jumped up to the one of the pipes spinning on one before landing on a bigger one, holding an adjoined pipe connected to it with one hand while Sora was held by the other. The two looked, as Batman hear the boy ask, "Are we safe up here? Where are?"

Batman remained silent, wondering what the boy was talking about. The two then saw the dog scaling up the wall and changing into a shape that was like an amorphous like creature with red eyes, different than the creatures that Sora knew of from the island. It had sharp teeth and what appeared to be a translucent tongue causing both to look on shock and fear.

Batman turned and took the hit for the boy. They fell to the ground, the 'Dog' had spun around the pipe like a snake while it watched them fall. Batman, still covering Sora landed on the barrels.

Struggling to get up, Batman said, "Get out of here! Go!"

Sora tried to protest, but the creature came upon them and with a swipe of its claw sent the caped crusader flying through an office window and the shelves behind him.

Sora stared as the creature turned and hissed at him. Soon several shadowy creatures from the Island came up and flanked the creature, who seemed to either not notice them or ignored them as they stalked close to their new prey.

Not knowing what to do, Sora held up his arms, only for a flash of light and the creatures were sent back. Sora looked and saw the same Key-shaped sword appearing before him as it did on the island. Seeing as it was his only weapon, like back on his island, Sora took blade in hand and went to fight them.

In his apartment building in Metropolis, Clark Kent, was washing his face after the strange visions he had earlier, trying to understand where that came from. This wasn't the first time this happened to him. Six months ago, when he was with Batman, they had came to him and prevented him from helping the Dark Knight from stopping the explosion of the Wayne Tech satellite dish outside of Metropolis. Unfortunately he couldn't focus on that and was in a hurry to help Senator Carter with his bold plan of total Nuclear Disarmament plan. However, as he washed, he heard the sounds of beeping, which could only mean one thing. Someone he gave his signal watches to was in trouble. Quickly changing into his hero costume, Superman then flew out to where Batman was. He paused and looked to see the beeping coming from the abandoned Star Labs building. Superman landed and opened the door to see something he didn't expect. A young boy, no older than fourteen or fifteen years old was fighting an amorphous creature and small, ink-black creatures with antenna and blank, yellow eyes. Superman then saw as the boy was fighting with a key-shaped sword. The boy swung and one of the yellow-eyed creatures disbursed into dark vapors. Superman wasn't sure what to make of it, however he saw the amorphous creature about to attack the boy from behind and went, using his super speed to punch it away.

As soon as it hit the wall seemed to have been flattened by the force of it.

Sora looked up at Superman who said, "You okay, young man?"

Sora nodded dumbfound before Superman said, "Leave them to me. You should get out of here."

Sora shook his head, holding the key-shaped sword in his hand, "I can't! If I go, the guy who helped me will get hurt. I can't just do nothing."

Superman, figuring that 'the guy' the kid mentioned was most likely Batman as he said turning to the remaining shadowy creatures and said, "Okay, but if it gets too dangerous get out of here."

"Got it." The boy said as the two prepared for the remaining shadow monsters they seemed to have flattened themselves into shadows and scurried about before rising and attacking. These Shadows were very annoying to the Man of Steel and when one had gotten a good hit on him, Superman cried out in pain. He looked seeing no blood, no tear on his costume, just small wisps of dark vapors from where it struck like it wasn't attacking his physical body, but another means to, one that still hurts. And the fact that the creatures could hurt him meant only one thing, they were magic. Superman had to be very careful with them as he fought with the boy.

Working together the two made quick work of the creatures before Sora sighs, his sword vanishing in light. Superman would say, smiling, "That was impressive."

"Thanks." Sora accepted the praise before looking down and added, "It's not like it's my first time fighting those things."

Superman placed his hand on the boy's shoulder as the boy introduced himself, "I'm Sora, who are you?"

Superman was surprised, how does this boy not know who he was. Unlike a certain scarlet speedster, Superman wasn't vain enough to care about if people knew exactly who he was, but though he was heard throughout the world. Superman then said, "I'm Superman."

Sora was puzzled by the name "Superman", he then gasped, "Wait what about that guy?"

Superman, hearing the beeping again, looking around and seeing the watch in the office, being held by a familiar gloved hand.

Superman's eyes went as he breathed, "No…"

Then, surprising Sora, pushed the shelf off him like it weighed nothing. He then saw Batman on the ground as and went to pick him, "Batman…"

Sora stared and saw how Superman was concerning about the other masked man and wondered if they were friends… Seeing the two made him wonder if his best friends Riku or Kairi were okay. Before he could ask, both Superman and Sora saw a light shining into the building from the windows as it appears to be a meteor heading towards the city. Superman went out, followed by Sora, who paused at the scenery before him. Last he remembered he was on his island, but now… he's in a large city that he's never saw before.

Superman turning to the boy said, "Look… I'm glad you helped me with those monsters, but I think it's best that you go home, Sora. It'll be too dangerous if you stay-."

"I'm really in another world!" Sora said looking around in awe by all that he was seeing around him.

Superman, surprised, asked, "You're an alien?"

"Uhh… What's an Alien?" Sora asked confused.

Superman sighs before saying, "Hold on, We're gonna see what that was… after that you can tell me more about yourself okay?"

Sora nodded as he went and held onto Superman's back, he then paused and asked, "How are we gonna…"

His question was answered as he saw Superman lifting up into the air and getting a great feeling, Sora let out a cry, and held on tighter around Superman's neck. Superman wasn't affected by this due to his invulnerability as well as his need to get Batman help. But as they flew Sora looked and was amazed by how it felt to be flying…

As they reached the giant meteor, Superman noticed Firefighters, SCU, Ambulances, arriving at the scene until he heard batman groaning and looked around for someone who can help him. He saw a Paramedic and flew over to her calling out, "Medic!"

She looked up and saw Metropolis' hero, Superman flying down to her as it looked like Batman was in his arms. After getting him on the gurney table the medic asked, "What happened?"

"I'm not exactly sure, but if it wasn't for this brave young man, he would've have made it." Superman said, gesturing to Sora, who got off the Man of Steel's back, "See to it that they get to safety."

He then took off into the air and flew to the giant meteor. Sora stared amazed by Superman flying. The paramedic, confused by what the Man of Steel said, watched Sora, before turning to Gotham's Dark Knight and slowly reached for his mask. Only for a gloved hand to grab her wrist, causing her to gasp.

Sora turned looking around before seeing Batman on the gurney and warned, "Don't even think about it…"

"Hey! You shouldn't speak that way her! She's just making sure you were okay!" Sora shot back at the downed Caped Crusader. The Paramedic was surprised someone could talk that way to Batman and not get scared.

Batman groaned, "I'm… fine…"

Rescue helicopters came flying to the Meteor as the Firefighters doused the flames with their water. Once the flames were properly put out, one SCU exclaimed, "Look at the size of it!"

"Careful, it might still be hot." Another warned. A second later, everyone around could see steam shooting out from within the meteor, "What is that?"

Soon a bone white leg came out from the meteor, it would have been deadly if the leg made contact with the SCU officers, but Superman was able to get them away in time. As he flew to get them to safety, another bone white leg shot out slamming the ground as the fire fighter ran shouting.

After putting the two down, Superman turned and saw a third leg shooting out and hitting the ground, then what appeared to be a large head like part came out as it down to the "knees" were ameboid looking in design with a black dot on the center one.

The people watched as the reporter on the scene, Snapper Carr, reported, "Incredible, is it some kind of machine?"

Once the machine had stabilized itself, the black dot inside the red blob suddenly contracted itself, began glowing read and shot out a beam of light that traveled until it hit the police car, causing it to explode. Immediately, Superman flew at it, only to be blasted away by another laser blast. Superman was sent flying until he hit the ground. The walker tank would continue on its path of destruction as it stepped on a Fire Engine. The Metropolis Police and SCU began firing on the machine, only their bullets wouldn't penetrate its bone white shell. It focused its black eye on the scene before it's eye narrowed and fired its beam, destroying another fire truck.

As it does several more of the black creatures appeared and launched an attack on the combating armed personnel.

Back to where, Batman and Sora were, the flash of an explosion caught the attention of the two, giving the Dark Knight enough time shoot a line from his Bat-hook and shot up to the sky.

"We better get out of here before—" The paramedic said, only to find the two she was supposed to keep an eye on weren't there. She and the SCU officer looked around before finally looking up to see Batman's main jet, The Batwing, hovering overhead as the Dark Knight entered it. They could see the boy running towards the battle even though they shouted for him to come back.

After getting in his seat, Batman piloted his jet in the direction of the walker tank telling the boy, "Hang on."

Batman flew in the direction of the walker. Pressing a button on his control stick, Batman fired a pair of missiles at the alien machine. They exploded, but it was undamaged. Seeing this, Batman swerved the Batwing out of the way as it fired its laser at him.

Sora kept running looking for some way to help, but then saw more of the black creatures. From the Island appear, standing on top of one of the armored officers who cried out as it thrust its claw into his chest and a crystalline heart is seen in its claw. The man remained frozen before the creature with the crystal heart disappeared. Sora saw the body of the officer disappearing, fading out of existence leaving nothing behind. From where the body disappeared, a new monster took his place.

These ones looked like Their muscular forms are clad in a bluish-black body suit bearing an emblem and purple inverted emblems trimmed in gold on the knees. They wear black, silver trimmed shoes that end in spiral toes, silver wristbands, and a silver knight's helm decorated with two angular, eye-like spirals on the front and a yellow stripe at the base of the curled silver plume. They also have fierce blue and red-tipped claws, and their shadowed faces with bright yellow eyes and toothy maw.

It then disappeared into the Darkness, as more of the Shadows came and appeared surrounding Sora as the Key-shaped sword appeared in his hand again. Staring as the weapon that seemed to work against them, Sora had a firm grasp of it as he went and fought back against the monsters as they came for him.

It was intense but Sora was able defeat them. After taking out the last one, Sora looked at where the man disappeared from and thought, 'What happened to him?'

Another blast of the laser and Sora heard a familiar cry, looking up he saw Superman flying backward hitting a building. Sora, concerned for his new friend ran in the direction of where Superman was flying.

When he finally arrived, Sora saw a man in a dark grey jacket, black shirt, and beige pants running to some debris as a Black, bat shaped jet swooped to face the walker tank again and fired more missiles at it.

Sora watched as the missile didn't do much as the tank fired at the jet again. Fortunately, Batman was able to avoid being hit.

Remembering, another friend in trouble Sora went to help pull as many stones off of Superman with the man. Soon afterwards, the large pile of debris was moving, thinking quickly both Sora and the man moved out of the way as Superman revealed to push it all off him and was unharmed.

"Superman!" Sora called going to him, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine…" Superman said, appreciatively for the boy's concern for him, but asked, "What are you doing here?"

"You needed help, especially with those monsters showing up again." Sora said, concerned.

Superman made a quick look around and found what the boy said was true, But right now the bigger concern seems to be the Walker tank as Sora asked, "What is that thing?"

"Whatever that thing it is, I gotta stop it." Superman answered.

"LOOK!" The man, Snapper Carr, next to him called, making both turn to the meteor he was pointing to as they saw two more walker tanks emerging from the meteor.

Superman looked to the two and said, "It's not safe here, get out-"

He then began to double over, screaming as he held his head. Concerned Sora went and touched him, "Are you okay?"

But the moment he did he began to see images flash into his mind with a garbled voice that cried out, "HELP… ME… IMPRISONED… CANNOT GET OUT… NEED HELP… INVASION… PLEASE…MUST STOP THEM!"

After it was finished Sora looked at Superman, who asked, "You got that too?"

Sora nodded, he couldn't make sense of it like Superman did, but if someone is in need of help and wanted to stop this invasion, he's not going to turn away from that person, "Ah huh."

Superman picked up the kid and said, "Hold on."

And then took off flying off in the opposite direction of the walkers as he wondered aloud, "Where are they going?"

Soon the Air Force came and flew in formation with Batman's jet as they went to fire on the Walker tanks. Down below the tanks and armed soldiers came to fight the walkers and the shadowy creatures attacking the citizens.

Thinking they had it under control, Batman flew in the direction of Superman's trajectory and wondered where the Kryptonian was going in such a hurry with the boy Sora…

Meanwhile on a peaceful island with clear skies, and clear waters, two people rode on horses. One of the horses whinnied in discomfort while the rider, a brunette assured her steed, "Easy, girl. Easy."

Looking up at the sky she said, "These omens don't bode well, Mother."

"Mankind may be facing its darkest hour." The woman said to her mother.

"Then mankind will have to face it alone." Her mother told her daughter.

Surprised, the daughter asked, "How can you say that!?"

"Whatever happens beyond these shores are not our concern, Diana. Here the gods will protect us." Her mother told her daughter, Diana, as she directed her horse back to her kingdom.

Diana remained silent as she prayed, "I hope you're right."

She looked back to the horizon and thought, back to when she was up one and saw many of the stars in the sky were going out for the past nine years, 'What would you do, sister?'

Batman flew off as he was having a hard time understanding why Superman left Metropolis while an invasion was happening right now with the boy so suddenly. And with how fast he was flying… it seemed to be very important. When he arrived hours after leaving Metropolis, he put his Batwing down and went to investigate. Many of the tanks were damaged, but not destroyed. And the hole leading inside the secret military base seemed to have been punched through.

'Definitely Superman's work, but why?' Batman mentally asked himself as he went in. As he went, he saw pods, similar to the ones at the warehouse where that 'dog' had almost ended him. There were more here than in the warehouse before those alien things came. And Sora was the one trying to cut them free with a key-shaped sword in his hands.

"Hey!" Sora turned to see batman, "Oh, you're here."

Narrowing his eyes, Batman asked, "What's going on here? Why did Superman leave and destroy government property?"

Before Sora could explain, he heard pounding on metal and knew where the Kyrptonian was. Sora, recognizing it too, ran towards it.

Superman was there as he was pounding away at the door. He was stopped when he saw the Battarang on the door's frame as well as a familiar voice, "Hold it Superman!"

Looking back Superman saw Batman approaching who said, "Destroying government property isn't your style… what's going?"

Sora looked at Batman, saying, remembering how Superman went through the base' defenses, "That's gonna be hard to explain."

"See for yourself." Superman said as he lifted the large door and tossed it to the side leading his… friend… inside.

Sora and Batman followed, the dark knight took a look at the graphs and monitors showing things that looked like sections of an anatomy, but not human…

Superman broke through another door as what Batman saw certainly bought the surprise through his face. Standing there was a tall green… creature who was clamped down and his head held in some sort of device.

Batman looked and asked, "What is it?"

Superman walked to the red line and answered, "Mankind's only hope."

He then pulled the lever releasing the clamps. As soon as the arms and legs were freed, the full body dropped, being caught by Superman and Sora, while the Man of Steel, explained to Batman, "He's been trying to reach out to me telepathically but that stasis field interfered. When his message finally broke through, I came here to rescue him."

"I heard the message too, and came with him wanting to help, but those soldiers wouldn't let us through so Superman had no choice but to go through them while I fought more of those black creatures." Sora explained.

Batman approached and asked, "What's he doing here?"

"The Invasion." A voice said, telepathically to which Dark Knight heard it in his mind.

Sora heard it too and asked, "Whoa…"

"I came to warn you, but I was captured and imprisoned here, they wouldn't listen." The Green man said as he was able to stand on his own after regaining some strength.

Batman then commented, "Big surprise."

"Hey! Don't be mean!" Sora said to the Dark Knight. Completely unaffected by the glared he was getting.

Batman remained unaffected by the boy's words. The green-man then stated, more to the Dark Knight, "I sense you do not trust me. Perhaps this will help."

The next thing he did surprised the two humans as his body shifted and morphed to look more human-like, wearing blue shorts, boots, a blue cape over his shoulders with yellow clasps and a red "X" over his chest. He then went and offered his hand, "I am J'onn J'onzz."

Batman, however, didn't reciprocate it whereas Sora went and shook his hand, "Hi J'onn. I'm Sora. That was so cool how you did that."

"Greetings." The Martian said, surprised how open the boy was to accept and trust him despite not being of the same species. When the two looked at Batman, the Man of Steel answered, "Don't take it personally, J'onn. Batman doesn't trust anyone."

"A wise policy." J'onn stated, not at all offended by Batman's lack of trust. Sora just sighed, as it appeared trust isn't a big thing to the people of this world…

He felt a hand on his shoulder, "Don't worry about it, Sora. I think you're off to a good start with you being friendly and honest."

Sora smiled back at the hero of Metropolis.

The four of them left the lab as Sora asked, "So, what's the plan?"

Superman spoke, "First we need to contact the joint chiefs right away."

They were interrupted as a spotlight and voice shouted, "STOP RIGHT THERE, SUPERMAN!"

The four turned to seem men in green uniforms and weapons ahead of them, as the soldier in charge spoke, "You're trespassing in a restricted area!"

The three of the residence of this world remained silent, but Sora… he felt something was… off about these guys, especially as the soldier pointed at J'onn, "Our orders are to keep that freak here!"

"Hey! That's rude!" Sora shot back at the soldier, who shouted, "Stay out of this, you brat! For all we know you could be like him!"

Superman went before J'onn and Sora saying, "Wait! I'll vouch for them! You must let us go!"

"I don't think so…" The man said putting his hand on his hip again.

Superman, not understanding pointed out, "But the world's security could be at stake!"

"That's why none of you will be leaving here alive…" The soldier said as he, and his men, began to change much like the dog in the Star Labs warehouse and became ameboid looking. Taking on either side of them several of the monsters that Sora fought before appeared, either rising from the ground like shadows, or appearing from a portal of darkness. And they all moved towards the heroes.

(And that's end to part one of the multi-part beginning "Secret Origins" I assure you all that this is going to be exciting as how Sora gets to meet more heroes, what he can learn while being with them, and maybe what they can learn from him?

So until then, May Your Heart Be Your Guiding Key.)
