Author's note: I just wrote this today since I was bored. But I think it's cute. This is my first Inuyasha one-shot. It'll be nice that I have more than one story. Even though this is short. I limited the talking since I forgot how to write that without it being script style.
Disclaimer: I don't own Inuyasha.
It was a cold rainy day in the feudal era. Inuyasha and his group were forced to take shelter when the storm suddenly hit. Inuyasha had been in a fowl mood most of the day. Not because of the weather. It was the fact that Koga had just "happened" to come across the cave as well. With Koga, those two goons and all those wolves, the place stuck. At least to Inuyasha. Fighting ensued all day. Now it was late at night. The only ones left awake were Inuyasha, Koga and Kagome. Kagome stared at the fire for a while before yawning. She was tired from all that fighting earlier. Inuyasha and Koga wouldn't stop bickering, so she had to tell them to stay on opposite sides of the cave. Inuyasha was on her left, Koga was on the right. She knew it would be better for her to be in the middle. Kagome yawned again and rested her back against the cave wall. Sitting in a damp cave wasn't very comfortable, but she was too tired to care. It didn't take long for Kagome to fall asleep.
Koga looked over at her from where he was sitting. Kagome's head had just slumped over to the side. It was actually kind of cute. Koga scooted closer over to her. But that movement didn't go unnoticed.
Inuyasha saw Koga move closer to Kagome. How dare he?! Inuyasha wouldn't stand for that. But he couldn't yell or he'd wake Kagome. He scooted closer to Kagome on his side.
Koga narrowed his eyes when he saw Inuyasha sitting closer to Kagome. He wouldn't let that mutt sit closer to Kagome than him. So Koga moved even closer to Kagome.
Inuyasha moved closer as well. But didn't make it to Kagome before Koga. Koga gently took Kagome's arm and pulled her over to him. Now Kagome's head was on his shoulder. Inuyasha was furious. He sat right next to her and pulled Kagame's other arm to make her lean on him. The two rivals stared at each other. Not willing to give in.
Koga pulled Kagome to him.
Inuyasha pulled her back.
Koga pulled again.
They kept going back and forward with the sleeping girl. But Kagome suddenly mumbled something. Inuyasha immediately let her go and jumped back. Koga thought he had won until Kagome opened her eyes. She saw she was leaning against Koga. She looked really mad and stood up. "What do you think you're doing?!" Kagome practically yelled. She didn't do it loud enough to wake the others. "I uh..." "No I don't want to hear it Koga! I was trying to sleep and you thought you could do that?!" Yeah, she was steamed. So Koga tried to defend himself. "But Inuyasha..." "What about Inuyasha?! He is peacefully sleeping way over there! He has enough common sense to not make a move on me while I'm sleeping!" Kagome exclaimed. Koga looked over and saw Inuyasha in the same place he was sitting before. As if he hadn't moved in the first place. "Go back to your side, pervert." Koga knew he lost the battle and went back to sit far on the other side. He could hear Kagome mumbling a few things while he was moving. "Idiot. Waking me up like that. I wish I could S word him." Koga sighed and sat back down. Kagome walked closer to Inuyasha and sat closer to him to be further from Koga. She yawned again and fell asleep not long after. Inuyasha opened his eyes and smirked at Koga. The look on the wolf's face was priceless. Today didn't turn out as bad as Inuyasha thought.
