11. A MAZE
Now Aerrow and Ace couldn't see Elva anymore. Well, now there isn't anything from distracting them..and that made them realize that this two enemies are sitting directly across to each other at the cafe. It was ridiculously silent between them. Facing directly was mostly occured in the battlefield where their sole purpose was to kill one or the other.. not like this, not like this frieldy cafe meeting...

They rather did not know what to say, because most of the conversation that they had was violent and scording.. so they just hoped Elva would come soon and break this awkward silent..

They are walking more than two hours now, but they haven't had any encounter with someone similar to their standard... dark.. emo kid.. Finn was hungry; Piper was exhausted; Starling was fraustrated. Their conversation was no longer continuing because they just didn't have time to waste their energy on useless talking. All of them were questioning in fact.. how are we going to find master cyclonis like THIS? New York city is certainly bigger than ever..Starling thought. Yes, she knows about NYC better than anyone, but.. she never realized the size of NYC...
"Guys, we should rest for a minute or so.."
"Finally!"
All of them sat down as soon as Starling told them... As soon as they sat down, Starling's phone rang.
Rrrrrr. Rrrrrr.
"Yup?"
"Have you made any progress?"
"So far, we are clueless.. and i don't see any signs of her.."
"Where are you guys?"
"In front of the park. Where are you?"
"Aerrow and Ace at the cafe. I am inside the school"
"What.. why?"
"I am.. well, i actually have feeling that Lili is somehow invovled in this"
"You mean.. Lili, that mean bitch?"'
"Hahaha.. well - yeah so I 'm.."
"No!"
"well, see you at six."
"Wait, Elva!!"
Looking confused, Elva and Piper asked Starling
"Who was that?"
"It's Elva... and I have a feeling ...this isn't going to turn out pretty"

After turning off her phone, she sighed. She knew exactly why Starling was bothered about meeting Lili... Slowly, she walked towards the room where bunch of girls who worships Lili.. they call her goddess.. goddess of beauty. Whenever she hears that nickname, she could nothelp but laugh hysterically.. Who the hell was the goddess of beauty? Who cares?.. She just thought the name was too lame to be said aloud in public, but her worshippers were not that intelligent... and Lili, herself, because she LOVES that nickname... How lame!
"Oh, my my my! This is such an honorable encounter. I should thank God today and die!"
Harshness of her tone was piercing through Elva's body; she knew she was trying to hurt and attack her.. her confidence. She took one deep breathe to control herself... and not to get distracted from her harsh remarks
"Well, it is a small world. Lili"
"Oh, yeah totally! So what can I as your servant, do for you?"
Now, her anger is slowly creeping up from her inside. she could feel it like snake sliding every inch of your body. Another deep breathe.
"I have a question"
"Oh, really? For me, amazing! Please enlighten me with your smartness!"
Sigh.. and another deep breathe
"Don't you have a necklace that.. has the design of a crow's plumage and in the middle, green gem?"
Suddenly, Lili grabbed her arm. It was so fast, Elva didn't have time to react on it; yes, she just let it happen like that. The atmosphere between them was getting tense. It was about to break, and they both felt it.
"Why the hell do you care if i have that necklace or not?!"
Her grip was getting stronger and stronger. Something was not right about her. Yes, Lili was the mean bitch according to Emma, but she was NOT violent. She never outran Elva's strength because Elva was the soccer player of the school team,and as long as Elva could remember, Lili was always concerned with her looks and her whiteness of skin. Nevertheless, she hated being under the sun for hours which meant no sports for her.
"Lili, calm down"
"Why should I calm down? See, we are alone in this room, Elva. I finally have a strength to outrun you!!"
Confused and clueless, Elva started directly into her eyes.
"What..what the hell are you talking about?"
"You see, I can harm you now. Like this, like this!"
With a cynical smile, Lili started to twist her arm.. and Elva suddenly realized that she was in danger. Something was wrong with her. Lili, small and lean girl, was twisting Elva - tall and atheletic girl - and Elva wasn't successful on escaping.
"Damn it, Lili. Let go off me!!"
Well, it didn't stop; it was getting stonger and stronger. Feeling pain on her wrist, Elva shouted urgently, but no one was out there.. this was supposed to be crowded place, it was.. this is time when everyone is supposed to in class room studying or listening to lectures.. wait, then why the hell WAS this room empty before? this room was always, ALWAYS full of worshippers..What.. why...wait, I need help... someone please.. this is hurting, painful.. my wrist i can't feel it anymore...
She heard the voice
... her consciousness faded away into the darkness.
"Elva!!"

The white ceiling. The sound of machine beeing. The smell of medicine. The smell of hope and death.
Hope and death existing side by side. Everything was white. Pure white. Everything about the hospital reminded her.. reminded her of long-lost memory of her past.
She slowly opened her eyes. The first thing she saw colours - red, yellow, blue, violet and every other colour.
"Elva?"
"I'm fine"
"Why did you go alone!? Why!!"
Starling was yelling at her now. Even though Emma or Starling was her friend, she acted like Elva's mother, Elvasort of knew how it felt to have a mother. Yes, she didmother who never had chance to exist in her memory.
"I figured it was safe, because it was school. I guess i was wrong"
"Indeed!"
Now, Finn shouted, empashizing her stupidity of decision to go alone into the school, but Elva ignored the fact that everyone was blaming her for stupid decision. She felt that everyone was demanding the answer or the reason why..Simply, she went onto next question to distract them from it.
"So, what happened to my arm?"
Bitterly, Aerrow gave her a quick answer.
"It's broken"
As soon as he said it, he patted her arm gently and whispered to her ear,
"I was worried.. Elva... I thought you are goin to ..
Gently, Elva wrapped him and patted his back.
"Don't worry I'm resilient, Aerrow"
There was long silence among everyone while Aerrow and Elva were exchanging their feelings.. feeling of comfort that Elva is alive at last. However, Piper was troubled watching this little 'private'exchange between them; Piper tried to persuade herself saying she was being paranoid, but she was wrong. Her heart was pounding like the sound of a hammering steel.
In order to break this weird tension, Finn quickly asked a question. Unfortunately for both Aerrow and Elva, that question caused the little priate conversation to break.
"So... What happened?"
"You mean with Lili?"
Now Starling answer her question.
"Of course, I know Lili like.. you do. She was evil but not violent.. well, even if she were, she never had strength to overpower you"
"I thought so, but again I am telling you I was wrong or at least, that's what Im thinking"
Suddenly, Ace out of the dark corner appeared.
"So you are saying she wasn't like this powerful before?"
Both Starling and Elva nodded eagerly.
"Maybe, it's the effect of Praevalens stone fromthe Atmos, if she is really involved in this"
"...the what stone?"
"Praevalens stone. itmeans very powerful stone and it brings the extremepowerand the strength to the person who holds it. Did she have it?"
Elva's face was pale andher hands were trembling; she exactly knew what he was talking about - in fact that was why she went in there to meet her.. to ask her if she has the necklace with the green stone that exactly looks like what master cyclonis had.
"what.. what colour... is it"
"Green. Why?"
She frowned and she knew now that her instinct was exactly right.
