Chap 8! Hopefully the second chapter in a day. I hope. I have an hour to type this, so... yeah. I got a kitten! His name is Nickel and he's a silver tabby tomcat. 7 weeks old. So cute. He likes to try to eat your fingers at 2 AM. On a school night. But I love him anyways.
His message to you all: . qxxbv6yyyyy'vikkppp- fc.,re/I\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\/
I have so much to catch up on its not funny. Well, some of it is. Hehe. Yeah.
BACK ON TRACK! READ THIS STORY! Haha. Back On. Yeah. I'm a dork. Deal with it.
Disclaimer: Seriously. I don't own AG. No matter how much I beg it'll never happen.
Dust bunnies and their party friends fell on top of Spitfire as he removed an old box from his closet. He dusted off the cover with his hand, a smile breaking out over his face. He didn't even need to look hard to find it! The red head trotted out of his bedroom happily, setting the box on the table with the clipped coupons. Gently, the top was removed and old action figures and comic books exposed to the light for the first time in years. "Now where were they in here again?" Old things were tossed to the side as he dug around for the two specific items.
Butch's Bootcamp from Hell turned out to be a LOT like Agito's Training from Hell. There were whispers going on about how the two felines had shared torture strategies. I mean, training schedules. In fact, the blue and black cats were conversing right then and there, huddled on one of the larger rocks and whispering. Every now and then amused smirks were tossed the way of the other cats. It was obvious they were up to no good. It was completely obvious. There was no other way Agito would put up with a cat that beat him into the ground. Well, slightly.
Ikki, Kazu, Onigiri, and Buccha were forced into a small group of other tomcats, Kippy biting at Ikki's heels every step of the way. The Siberian swore Agito had put the kitten up to it. He, Ikki, pounced on Kazu, standing on the Maine Coon's back like he was a podium, looking at the small kitten-sized Nebelung. "I say we jump him," grumbled Kazu, swiping at a passing cat that got too close to his head. It was supposed to be fighting training, sparing against different cats to get a variety of experience. Ikki and Kazu had both already fought the cats they were up against while Buccha and Onigiri had opted out after accidentally sitting and stepping on a cat or two.
"Agreed," voiced Onigiri, grunting as a younger cat barreled into him.
"Relax, guys," meowed Ikki, stepping on Kazu's head as he padded off of the other tomcat. His gaze swept over the three, tail flicking once. A smug look crossed his face. "Agito's only doing what he thinks is right. Besides, it wouldn't be a fair fight four against one. We'd easily win."
A snort of protest came from behind the long furred tom. "Against what? A butterfly? Hate to tell you but the insect would win." Butch had magically appeared, Agito shouting and snapping at a pair of cats sparring on the other side of the area. The black cat had a disbelieving look on his face. "Listen, I need to go into town. Come with me."
All four stared at Butch before breaking out into laughter. "Why the hell would we listen to you?" gasped Ikki, his sides shaking.
"Because it's either the town or the training. Take your pick, but I have to get going." His tail waved in a farewell. Btuch hadn't taken five steps before four of some of the larger cats in the city came bounding after him. A smirk settled over his maw. "I knew you'd see it my way."
Kazu had to ask: "Why us four?"
The solid colored cat shrugged his shoulders. "Agito said you were best."
All four paused. Agito had... praised them? Ikki grinned. "Told ya."
The grasses turned into hard concrete beneath their paws. Butch was on higher alert now, more than the gang had ever seen him before. They were perfectly at home, knowing this territory like their own... well, they knew that part of the city. But, from a cat's point of view, everything was different. Where they thought they knew where they were going, everything turned out wrong. Butch more than once had to lead them back to the main street to find their whereabouts. "Are you sure you're city cats?" the gang leader asked on more than on occasion.
Turning a corner, Ikki bounded forward. "I know where we are!"
The others sighed. That was the fifteenth time the larger Siberian cat had said that exact sentence. "Sure, Ikki."
"No! I mean it! We're by Ringo and them's place! See?" He pointed with his maw at the familiar house. Kazu and Onigiri brightened up. Even from a different point of view Ikki would know his way around the neighborhood. "Think Ringo'd recognize me as a cat?" He grinned, feeling pleased with himself for knowing where he was.
"No way, dude," Kazu laughed. "You look fatter as a cat."
Ikki whapped him on the head, wrinkling his nose at his best friend. "Ha ha, dumbass. We'll just have to see won't we?"
Butch pushed himself between the two. "We don't have time to dillydally. Move!" He nudged the rear of the Siberian, a low growl grumbling in his throat. "We're on a strict time schedule."
"Where are you taking us?" Ikki finally asked.
The black cat gave him a look and continued slinking through the dark city streets. "We're going to a downtown cat fight. I've been talking to the cat in charge and he told me if I can get a cat to win, then he'd join up with my gang to defeat the dogs. You're the cats going to fight for me."
Was THIS was Agito had in mind for them? Fighting against a bunch of cats. "So, wait, this is what Agito said we were good for? Fighting cats?"
"Yeah. Why? There a problem with it?" Butch gave them a dirty look, daring the four to try to back out now. He paused outside of an old building, giving it a good look before bounding to the door. "Ah! We're here. Now don't do anything stupid."
Mimicking Butch, Ikki prowled after, the other three tagging behind with small smiles in their maws. Inside the building reeked of cats. There were felines of all sizes and ages. Two older cats, both grey with age, reminded Ikki of the two running the AT shop out on the tracks. They were trying to haggle a ragged blanket for some mice from a younger dark tabby cat.
Butch padded closer to the four, following their gaze to the old cats. "All the cats here besides you four are street cats. They can't always find what they need and bargain with those that do have the things they require. You won't get anything without having anything, so don't even bother. Come on. The ring is over here." He grabbed Ikki's ear, dragging the larger cat over to where a crowd was cheering, yowling up a storm.
Laughing, the Maine Coon jerked his head and followed after Butch and the crow-cat. They forced their way through to a spot right next to the ring, sitting to watch Ikki's match. Butch came a minute later, sitting down next to them with an accomplished look on his face. "Five to one odds against your friend. Think he'll be able to win?"
"If anyone can, Ikki can!" the other three voiced.
In the ring, Ikki glared at the large bulky cat that shouldered him into the circular fighting pit. "Fresh meat. About time they got someone new in here. You won't last two minutes against me." The cat speaking had many scars on his pelt, especially on his legs and back. His pelt was short, pure white in color, green eyes overflowing with bloodlust. From the cheers, his name was Ry.
The Storm Rider cat smirked, claws unsheathing. "Only if your face is the one fighting."
"Tough talk from a cat who smells likes humans."
"Horrible compliment from somene who looks like he got in a fight with a wire and lost. What? Mommy wasn't there to fight your fight for you?"
Ry growled. "You'll pay for that, house cat."
"Bring it on, dog face."
"Go Ikki!" Kazu cheered, the only one shouting out his friend's name.
Cliffhanger! Muwahwahwahwah! Will Ikki win the fight? Does Agito ever praise his friends? What happened to Kippy and Izumi?! Only time will tell.
